Rise of Nations? Re release?
We over at Rise of Nations community at heavengames.com have been struggling for a platform to play on since Gamespy no longer provided multiplayer services we usually play off hitachi or homeservers


Is there any sort of plan of a rerelease? Like people have been asking this question on the forums for like 3 years ... over 3000 posts hoping to get it to get on Steam

Does anybody know about Rise of Nations re release?

Unfortunently, you would have to get the developer / publisher to add SteamWorks. And as the developer doesn't exist anymore, your only hope would be getting Microsoft Studios (the publisher) to add it.

The state of Rhode Island owns it now...

Do you think they could get it posted and possibly get some losses

Are you sure the state of rhode island owns it? then I think it's pretty much in limbo.

Posting here will do nothing, Valve doesn't act upon requests and has no interest in aquireing the rights to games such as this. But you might be able to get gog.com to do something if you post over there. They specialize in reviving game IPs with non gaming company owners. Just look at what they did for system shock 2.
