I fully expect to see a bunch of new Greenlight submissions come out of this.

I fully expect those new greenlight submissions to be a match for many of the others in quality of execution.

You think they'll need the whole weekend?

I think whoever discoveres humble bundle will have as much time they want to make a game they could have done over the weekend.

Shhhhush you.
A lot of folks just can't/won't sign up to another account, even if it is selling around $150 worth if stuff for 12 bucks right now.

Oh, that doesn't bode well.

I don't mind the games per se - I just wish as with any engine/system people use, that they put at least some effort into the things they bring to the table. It's alright looking at the generic assets and a working game, and thinking you've produced something but shoddy, typo/error-ridden dialogue, vast/empty maps and a cliché story about a teen with amnesia facing 'a dark and mysterious terror' just makes me instantly reach for the never-in-a-million-years button.
its a humbke bundle too for $12 this week https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly

You should tell Gorlom. It'll be news to him, I promise you.

My turn to ask. How is this even related to Greenlight?

You know it will.
Ahriman May 30 @ 3:50am
maybe people will make a game and then try to post it in greenlight database
Sera May 30 @ 4:09am
Yeah but it's not currently related to Greenlight. This thread only sounds like a rant about the fact that we 'may' get more RPG maker games on Greenlight because the program was made free/cheaper. Really, guys...?

From another perspective, I suppose this thread is more interesting than one begging for a new game on Steam but still...
C0untzer0 May 30 @ 4:30am
It's not even vaguely ranty. For rants on the use of RPGMaker and other similar tools see threads passim ad nauseam. So far this is merely drawing attention to the fact that one of the more popular Greenlight submission tools has become much more widely available, and this will lead to more JRPG style submissions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXeqmBVRlIw
Of course, if the makers had bundled in some of the less generic asset packs, the likely offerings would be less humble, but that's a deal for another site...
