This week's spotlight takes the classic game Snake and adds a twist. You control a "conga line of heroes," to defeat enemies and progress through endless levels. There are 16 different heroes, each with a different attack and stats. Oh, and did I mention it's Free-to-Play?! In fact, you can download it now on iOS and Android devices to check it out!

You're going to die a lot in this week's spotlight game, but don't worry - there's an easy-to-use respawn button.

Flowstorm is a top-down 2.5D racing and aerial combat game that is easy to control, yet extremely hard to master. Cliché as that may sound, it's completely accurate...or maybe I just suck. I'd like to think it's a combination of the two.

There's a free-to-play web version that contains nine levels, so go check it out:

This week's Spotlight is not for the faint of heart. DreadOut is pure survival horror, inspired by Fatal Frame and based on Indonesian horror mythology. There's a demo available for PC, Mac, and Linux that you should definitely try if you have any interest in survival horror games. This is definitely one you do not want to miss!

Frozen Endzone is the follow-up to Frozen Synapse, bringing simultaneous-turn-based gameplay to the sport of American football...with robots. If you've never played Frozen Synapse, simultaneous-turn-based gameplay takes tactics to the next level. I don't typically like sports video games, but Frozen Endzone is shaping up to be a different and unique experience that is sure to please any tactical game fans.

Sorry there was no spotlight last week, but I was at GDC 2013 instead :)

In any case, this week's spotlight is Death Inc., part real-time strategy, part god game, part business simulation. You play a reaper tasked with spreading the bubonic plague throughout 17th century England because the king must be stopped! There's a demo to check out that gives you a taste of the game's basics, including the very smooth "painting" control system. Go read the spotlight and give the demo a whirl:
