Dreaming Sarah
April 29 - Yin

Yay!

Thanks so much for all your help, everyone. It's been a really bumpy ride but thanks to you, we can finally finish this game and have it on Steam.

We intend on having the next update on the early access version on may 20th, and I'll also update the desura and itch.io builds by then. Sorry for the long delays, I'm currently working on it by myself and it's been really slow. Still, the next update will bring a lot of new features and better performance on slower computers!

Cheers and thank you!

Hey everyone!

A lot of things happened by the end of the year, so here's one big announcement to talk about everything.

First, thanks everyone who bought the pre-order! I'm still working hard on the game and I'm sorry the updates aren't as frequent as I would like. I've been busy mostly thinking of puzzles and new areas, but a LOT of art is done (thanks to Devi!), but I still have to implement it. IMO the game is a bit boring right now, so I'm trying to add more puzzle elements to it.

I'm currently working the moon area, which is a round, pink moon. There will be a rocket in the game that takes you to it (can't say where though). I'm also working on the last two equippable items, but I also don't want to spoil it here.

Second, thanks for everyone who voted on Greenlight, or shared it. The game is REALLY close to getting into Steam, especially with these 50 games batches. Also, you might have noticed we shut down pre-orders. We will eventually re-open them when there's more of the game done.

Also, I've been looking into Mac/Linux versions. I'm holding back a game update because the next update I want to have:

- A new demo (same thing but with updated menu and a few minor changes).
- Mac version (maybe Linux if I can actually test it somewhere).
- More of the haunted mansion done.
- The pink moon.
- More languages (probably german/french).

Now two huge announcements.

Last year we had some trouble with our publisher. A lot of trouble actually. Thus, I decided to separate from them, unfortunately. This means the project is going to be delayed (by a whole lot), and that's why I had to change the release date from Jan. 2014 to April 2014. The good news is that now I have more time to work on it, and I won't have to rush it. Still, I want to deliver it as soon as possible.

The second announcement is that Devi won't be working on Dreaming Sarah any more. She had been working on the game pretty much for free, and whenever she could. She helped a LOT, made some AMAZING art and I can't begin to thank her enough! She moved onto bigger and better projects, which you can check on her website: http://deviever.com.

That's pretty much it for now! I apologise for the time I'm taking to get everything done.

Thank you for your patience!

Hey everyone!

We've decided to open pre-orders for Dreaming Sarah. Pre-orders include the following:

  • The current work in progress version of the game
  • Future work in progress versions (updated regularly)
  • Original soundtrack + Extra tracks
  • Membership in the private early access forum
  • A copy of the final game on release
  • A steam key once the game is greenlit
  • Games made by me and Devi

You can pre-order here[asteristic.itch.io].

We're still setting up everything on the forum, but once we do, we'll be taking feedback from everyone who pre-ordered. Thanks everyone for all the support you've given us!

I rarely do these, but I was very excited for my first major contribution to Dreaming Sarah, so I figure I might as well share. For those in Brazil, I am sorry I suck at Portuguese otherwise I'd do another one in ya'lls language as well!

Check out my short tour of The Mansion, and me geeking out over doing pixel art!

Totally forgot to make an announcement about this, but a couple weeks ago Devi Ever joined in and is helping with the art for the game!

You can check out some of the art she's made for the game so far in the devlog:
