Social Justice Warriors
Why I Made a Social Justice Warriors Game
May 19, 2014 - Nonadecimal

There's been a lot of speculation about why this game was made and what its intentions are. I address those questions with Making a Social Justice Warriors Game.[]

Social Justice Warriors is a game about the dismissive labels we use to silence each other, including "social justice warrior" and "troll". Using these labels makes it easier for discussion to turn into an us-vs-them battle that is more focused on the opponents than the issues. I hope people who play the game develop new insights into how we interact with each other online and consider alternatives.

You can see for yourself by purchasing the game for $1[] and get a Steam key when the game has been greenlit.

I hope you will make the sprite for the SJW match their class and add a little more depth to the game, if so I will absolutely buy it! Great writing all around.

I love the game, I've played it for about 2 hours, longest streak was 7 defeated trolls, just wondering if there is an end to it and if there are any bosses?

Although it seems like it could be a bit deeper.

This seems to be exactly what I was cautiously optimistic that this game would be about.

I get what you're trying to do, and it is fantastic. A lot of the mechanics are great (such as Sanity always decreasing), but I don't really feel this is "there" as a game yet. The conversations could really use some fleshing out, as well as the choices and responses. Again, I understand what you are doing with this, but it just felt unfinished.
