Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know we've officially made it onto Steam and will be releasing in less than 2 weeks! Here's the link:

The game has come a long way, and we've taken our time to make sure it's done right. Thanks for the continued support everyone, and make sure to add it to your wishlist!

As you all know, we had a lot of big changes in the past year, and as David Heath announced on our greenlight page, we are now in the testing phases of the game under a new name, "Falling Stars: War of Empires."

With the help of LNL Publishing, we've been able to upgrade all of the graphics to be on par with other games in the genre, and online connectivity has been working great.

We still have a lot more we want to bring to this game to give our players depth and replayability, as well a make the game look even better. For these reasons, we feel it necessary to launch a new Greenlight page with all of the upgraded graphics and take advantage of the new look and status of the game.

We will also be launching a kickstarter within the next week which we will keep you up to date on. These funds would go towards further enhancing the graphics and content of the game.

We appreciate all of your support throughout this greenlight campaign, and we look forward to bringing you one of the most interactive and deep strategy games on the market!

On top of having a great last 2 months of development, we have even BETTER news! We recently started partnering with a major board game publisher to help Arkis Vir be as polished and complete as possible. This means a few things for the future of our game:

  1. We will be offering more game modes at release, including a single-player campaign, a multiplayer asynchronous game variant, AI opponents, and synchronous multiplayer
  2. We have more resources to enhance our models and UI (screenshots coming soon!)
  3. A tablet version of the game will be release post-launch for those interested
  4. We are renaming the game to be more memorable and impactful

Those are just a few of the things we wanted to share, but as always if you have any other questions let us know! We're really excited what this means for the future of the game, and we're confident that the end result will be something awesome and fun for those of you who have been following us all of this time!

We use a very organic and fun approach when designing the planets of Arkis Vir. To give them as much variety and depth as possible, we use photos of everyday things you see in nature, do some 3D manipulation, and voila! Brand new planet. Check out the process in our album here.[]

Hey everyone, so far our response has been very positive, which is great for our first wide-spread release of the game! But we've heard your comments and questions, and wanted to address some of them.

Q: How much will the game cost?
A: We will release the game for $10, and if you get the early-bird on our Kickstarter Campaign [] then you can get some starter add-ons as well!

Q: This looks familiar...
A: If you're an avid boardgame player, you've probably played Twilight Imperium or Eclipse. If you missed it in our description of the game, we were inspired to make an multiplayer video game that has a similar rule-set to those games. All of the content and rules were created from scratch for Arkis Vir, so it will not play the same as those games, but I would definitely regard it as being in the same genre.

Q: How long does each game take to finish?
A: We wanted to create an experience that allows players to finish a match in ~1 hour. This means fast-paced strategic action, without the long breaks that usually accompany turn-based strategy games.

Q: What are the add-ons, and do I have to buy them?
A: No! The add-ons can be purchased, but they are available to everyone simply by playing the game. We also limit the amount of add-ons you can take into the game so that players gain an advantage in "options" instead of "power".

That's it for now, I'll keep updating this as we move along!
