FRONTIERS Preorders now available for $15!
April 24, 2014 - railboy

Hello, everyone!

If you'd like to support development for FRONTIERS but missed out on the Kickstarter, now's your chance - Click here to preorder from EXPLORE-FRONTIERS.COM via the Humble Store![]

Here's a quick preorder FAQ for you:

Do I get any perks with my preorder? Beta access? Early release? Anything like that?
No, this is just for the game. You won't get it early and you won't get beta access. (I already have more beta players than I can handle, I'm afraid.)

Will the final game cost more than the preorder price?
Nope, it costs $15 now and it'll be $15 when it's released.

So... what's the point of pre-ordering?
There's no point - it's just a way for you to support development if you like. If you don't care to do that (or if you can't spare the cash right now) you lose nothing by waiting to buy the game until after it's released.

When will the game be released?
I'm shooting for end of Q2 2014. (It says so on the main page but it's in really tiny text - they need to make it bigger!) That's just an estimated release date; it may take longer.
EDIT: This has changed. My new release date is 'When it's done' - I talk about the new schedule in this update video.

Will I get a Steam key if I preorder?
You'll have your choice of Steam key or DRM-free standalone version, or both. (You'll choose once the game is released.)

Will the game run on OSX/Windows/Linux?
Yes, FRONTIERS will run on all three platforms. That includes cross-platform multiplayer.

What are the minimum requirements? My machine may not run it so I'm nervous about ordering.
My goal is to make the game run on any system that can run Oblivion. But if you're at all nervous about system requirements then I recommend you don't preorder, at least not until I've tested the game on a wider range of systems.

Thanks for reading, and thanks for your support - if you know anyone who'd like to preorder I'd be grateful if you helped to spread the word!

Wow, very rare that I see someone say, "There is no point to pre-ordering, just shows support". That is what I like to see, you will get all the support you will need and than some!
