Vote for us and help bring this new, re-imagined version of Shadowgate to Steam!
November 2, 2013 - zojoi

Thanks to our awesome Kickstarter backers, we've had the privilege to bring the fantasy, first-person adventure classic back to life. We re-imagined it, creating and combining new puzzles and locations with existing environments. Other major updates include amazing graphics, animations, an interactive score, the original NES music, awesome sound design and other goodies. This is the Shadowgate we always wanted to make – one unhindered by the size of a floppy disk or cartridge. Please take a few minutes to read about the game, look at the video and screenshots and VOTE for us! Thank you!

I have many fond memories of Shadowgate, some of them being recently introducing some of my friends to the classic version.

The story telling atmosphere in the trailer is top notch, I can't wait. I hope it's not as frustrating as the original.

Man, I remember how proud I was to finally beat this game on the Nintendo. As linear as another playthrough was, I still played through over, and over, and over. And that soundtrack! Haven't forgotten it since, and learned to play a couple of tunes from it just to scratch the nostalgic itch, lol.

The one thing that you HAVE to get right is that damn creepy-ass music. That music is pure poop your pants gold.

You know you're getting old when you can remember reading the review of Shadowgate in Nintendo Power magazine.
