Newton Adventure: level editing and mod creation

Since the launch of Newton Adventure on Greenlight, I am reading the comments with attention. One of the recurring question concerns level editing.
I am happy to see there is creative people on Steam so I decided to talk about it.
Newton Adventure has a level editor, a mod system and is fully open source. This means that you will be able to create new contents and modify many aspects of the game.
If you have some programming skills, you can even fork my work and create your own game!
The procedure is classic: you have to take the existing data, read some documentation, create sprites and sounds, launch the level editor, create levels, package...
The user created content can be distributed as a mod: a simple folder the user needs to copy in the game's data directory. This means that sharing mod is as easy as sharing files.
I will also study the Steam API to see if I can make this sharing available directly through the Steam user interface.
