Hi all,

Just thought I'd pop by and let everyone know that the launch is just around the corner - The Fall, Episode 1 should be released in a few weeks time, on June 1st.

The game has come a long way, and we're just in the final phases of polish now. We've got it running great and looking even better, with a fantastic script, which will be getting recorded by our full voice cast this coming weekend. The game is already integrated with Steam as well, and we just need a little more time to finish up a little polish, look for bugs, and plan a launch!

Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks. We're very proud of the game and are looking forward to the first :)

P.S. - Two new screenshots have been added.

March 3, 2014 - Hypnoslave

Hey ya'll, time for an update.

First of all, sorry for the radio silence here on Greenlight! I'm still relatively new and, while I know this sound dumb, didn't have a sense for staying in touch with the community. Silly me. Anyway. hows about an update?

The Fall is coming along really well - Lots of great developments, and every day it plays a little better (well, almost every day :).

First things first however - as many of you probably will have noticed, the expected delivery for The Fall was sometime in March, around, say.. now. Unfortunately, I have to delay the project's release a few months, which I have no doubt is frustrating to hear, (and let me assure you, It's frustrating for me as well,) but it will result in a better quality product. The good news is, that a few months is still a relatively small delay, and I promise I won't make you wait 7 years between episode 2 and 3 (I kid our Valve overseers. Please don't smite me.)

A few things have changed during production of The Fall, which is usually something to stay away from in game development unless it's really important. In this case, I think it is. There are a few more team members, who I may introduce in future updates if they want to say hello to the community. For starters, I decided that it would be wise to bring on an additional writer, and I'm happy to announce that this was a *fantastic* decision. The Fall's story has come together in the past month in ways I didn't expect, and the quality bar has risen not just for the first episode, but for the entire series as well, I'm sure of it. You need a good foundation with this type of thing and I'm excited to say that we've got one.

There have also been some interesting breakthroughs that have come in as a result of testing. The Fall's environment is a fair size for the type of puzzle-solving gameplay that it boasts, and finding the right balance between giving players one thing to do after another, and opening up the world for exploration is proving to be an interesting challenge. I'm happy to announce that after some early testing, we've now got a strong flow that feels right and plays well.

Combat has also been given a slight upgrade as well, and I'm taking some time to implement some new enemy types, as well as meele combat in the form of simple takedowns - combat in The Fall is brief, but that's not a reason for it to be shallow, and creating an open space where the player has choice and can flow freely is important for any game, I think.

Lastly, but certainly not least, a professional animator has come on-board and the visual quality of the game is undoubtedly improving.

Now then. Screenshots! Maybe I'll add a few here.

Stay tuned! Appologies for the short delay, but I believe it really is for the best.
