One Finger Death Punch
One Finger Death Punch now on Desura
September 23, 2013 - Silver Dollar Games

We’re very excited to announce that One Finger Death Punch is now on Desura. If we have the capabilities to provide Steam keys to users who purchased the game on Desura we’ll definitely do so. It's something we’ve never done before so we’re not totally sure how that all works. It’s something we definitely want to do though.

For the steam key, I would suggest to distribute via Desura Collections > Keys, as half of the game do it.

The main reason is
1. Reduce reselling, more sales
If people get it from purchasing from reseller, trade, giveaways, it minimize the effect of multiple copy of one people owning it on Desura, another own it on Steam.

2. Automation
Not avoiding? people can still get Steam code from desura and trade it somewhere else? What about System like Humble Bundle, direct link Steam Account to Desura for redemption?

Ya, simple as it is. All game either on Steam or Desura, I don't want to keep track my Steam key update in IndieGala, Groupees, Humble and more......

Great job guys! I'm glad you were able to find a way... and somehow it's finding its way as a greenlight announcement. Awesome job!

That's wonderful to hear! I'll buy a copy now then on that, no hard feelings if it can't be worked out, just that it's an intent if it's possible is enough :)

I know Anodyne managed it somehow but I don't know if they had SPECIAL PLANNING involved in making that happen or if it's just something simple. My guess from their implementation is that they updated each users "CD Key" in Desura with a Steam Key :) Hope that helps, looking forward to playing it when I ever get around to it! :D

I bought the game on Desura and if I got a Steam key because of that (in the definite future) that'd be great :D Hope it works out for you then!

Curious about Shinji's question myself, will buy it tomorrow if that can be confirmed, otherwise I'll grab it when it hits steam! :D Got enough other things to be playing at the moment but favourited/thumbs up'd the game and best of luck to the campaign! :D I can see from the videos it's gonna be a blast when I get around to playing it! :D

If you buy it on Desura, will you get a steam key if the game gets greenlit?
