The Novelist
New Interviews + Alpha Update
July 29, 2013 - Kent

Hey, everyone!

First off, thanks so much for your continued support. We've gotten a pretty big vote push recently and are now in the top 25. Thank you for spreading the word and keeping it positive! It's wonderful to see such supportive comments in an industry where things can sometimes get ugly.

Anyway, I did a new blog post over the weekend with some new interview links as well as an update on the march toward alpha. Hope you enjoy it!

I love your comments about the art style -- I find the push for photorealism tends to make games less engaging, while a more stylized form hooks me in. The combination of movement and edged art makes it feel like a comic book in 3d, and it's not yet another brightly colored sprite, but its own thing. I'm especially impressed given that you're outsourcing the art.

I enjoyed reading these two interviews, particularly what you had to say on XBox One, and the AAA and Indie in the gaming industry. I caught myself nodding in agreement to a lot of what you had said.
