We recently have had quite a few people reaching out to us wondering where INFRA is as we haven’t posted in about eight months. This silence gave us time to sit down as a team and discuss what our fans really wanted from INFRA and we have decided to take it a new direction! Behold your newest farming simulator!
We are only kidding.
In truth, progress is being made but we have learned that it takes a hell of a long time to make a game, especially with a small group scattered across the globe. Additionally, and arguably more importantly, we are determined to deliver a finished product when we do release INFRA. The market is saturated with early access games and while that may work for other genres, it won’t do for us. We aim to tell a story through our carefully crafted world and if it were to be released in small chunks every month it wouldn’t have the same feel. So while we hear your requests to play the game now, we have to say that we aren’t ready. Not because we don’t want to see INFRA, but because she needs a little more polish before being released to the public. So as usual, stick around and keep checking for new updates occasionally. Once we get closer to feeling comfortable with a release date we will start posting loads of new info but until then we apologize for the trickle.
Tide yourselves over with the great many games on Steam and know that someday in the future INFRA will grace your library with the rest of them.
Oh, and here is a little gameplay in the works...

It is time to take a peek back at what made this year so special for INFRA. Our most shining achievement was receiving the Greenlight from Valve. In 319 days, we have been viewed by 116,613 unique visitors with over 80,000 of those visitors voting. On top of this, around 3,400 people are actively following the game through Greenlight. In short, you all kick ass! Your overwhelming support is both felt and appreciated by the entire team. We also had physical representation with a small presence at both PAX, in Seattle, and SLUSH, in Helsinki.
So, where is INFRA now?
The past year has been a grind of behind the scenes work. Loiste Interactive became an official company with employees spanning four countries. It has been a bit of a paperwork nightmare. We have also been incredibly busy with the actual development of the game. Thousands of models have been created, a script is being polished, and INFRA is finally starting to look like a complete game! This next year is shaping up to be even more busy and we will have a lot more to say about INFRA soon. For now, know that we are planning to release in Q4 of 2014. That means beta testing over the summer. It will not be a pay for beta as we want to ship INFRA as a complete game but there will be some room for testers!
As usual, stay tuned because the future holds more excitement than ever.

Long time no updates! Doesn't mean we're dead, we've just been working real hard. After we got greenlit (again a huge "thanks" on that) we decided to focus purely on development instead of trying to push out updates every other week or so. We promised during the autumn that there would a BIG update coming out before the end of the year. Where is it? Nowhere to be found. Looks like here at Loiste we have our own Valve-time going on. But don't worry, we will bring it out as soon as possible. It's just that we've had more important things to concentrate on than the update.
Keeping in contact with the fan-base is of course important, so as a compensation for the delayed bigger update we will show some scenes that have been made during the autumn. Stay tuned for more updates after the holiday season!

While we didn't receive a huge quantity of submissions, the quality was top notch. We sorted through our favorites and eventually decided on a submission from a member known as TheComedian.be which we felt really encompassed the INFRA feel while adding his own story to the game. Check out his submission!
Once INFRA releases, you will be able to find some of his work scattered throughout the dark tunnels buried beneath the city. TheComedian.be will be receiving his poster in the mail as well as a free copy of INFRA once it is ready.
For those of you who submitted but did not win, we greatly appreciated your submissions and will be having more opportunities in the future to win prizes and have your work showcased. In other news, some of you sent us some emails about what you would like to see on our website. The most resounded request was for the ability to comment. Now you will have the ability to do that! Go check it out here.
Finally, we are bouncing around in the top 20 ranks of Greenlight! We know most of the people who read these posts have already voted so tell your friends to vote, tell your cat to vote, even tell your weird uncle to check out our page. Every vote truly counts and you make the difference on how quickly INFRA can spread.

We have seen some interest from individuals who want to make fan art for INFRA and now is a great time for some of you to take advantage of it!
The ContestCreate a poster that conveys the essence of INFRA. Perhaps you could focus on infrastructure, engineering, and the complexity of it all. You may choose to take a stab at our not yet revealed main character who has a knack for exploration, attention to detail, and making the best of a terrible situation. Better yet, completely surprise us and take INFRA in your own creative direction.
Here is an example we mocked up!
The winner will be picked by myself and approved by the rest of the team. This lucky individual is guaranteed a full sized print of their poster shipped to wherever in the world they live. Furthermore, their poster will appear in INFRA itself! Anyone who plays INFRA in the future will have the experience of looking upon your glorious contribution. There may be more rewards but that is what we can currently promise.
- You can enter multiple times but each entry must have a different original poster.
- None of the content in the poster can be trademarked or under copyright.
- Your submission should include your name, your preferred method of contact, and your poster. You can include a short summary of the idea behind your piece as well. Email all submissions to Loiste.Interactive@gmail.com
- The contest ends on June 18th, 2013.
- We will contact the winner once we have gone through all of the submissions.
- By submitting your posters you give us the right to use that particular piece in INFRA and for marketing purposes. We will give you credit.
We reserve the right to alter the contest at any point. (We aren’t evil so this would only happen if for example we received a single entry and it was done in paint in less than a minute)
Here is a link to our logo if you would like to use that in your submission. INFRA Logo
