Freedom Planet
Interview with Kickstarters' HQ
2 de Febrero, 2013 - GalaxyTrail

Why did Freedom Planet go with Sonic-styled gameplay instead of, say, Mario or Call of Duty? How did it smash through its funding goal on Kickstarter in less than ten hours? How funny does Strife's voice sound? All this and more in an exclusive interview with Kickstarters' HQ!

(The interview starts at around 10:35.)

We talk about the success of our Kickstarter and offer tips on how to get your indie game crowdfunded with almost no media outreach. We also talk about ways in which fangames can be converted into original property, the pros and cons to launching a Kickstarter and Greenlight campaign simultaneously, and more!

Brown - We are planning for a release in early 2014. It could be a little earlier depending on what kind of help we can get with our Kickstarter budget.

I would totally get the alpha access but I might have to settle just for the game. Still it looks amazing and I can't wait for it to release

I want this game so bad on PC, but don't forget this would kick ass on mobile devices too.

A big part of the success, I think, is that you asked for very little funding. Most developers want a little for the work they put in it, but it seems you work for free. And fine work it is.
