Hi everyone! Thanks for all of the support and nice comments. We really appreciate it. Your votes have us close to 90% of the way to being Greenlit, not far to go now. January 16, 2013 - Perfect Parallel

We have been working on lots of different camera angles for the user to select after the player hits the ball from reverse cameras to follow the ball cameras. A new video has been added showing these camera angles. Other areas we have been working on include:

Allowing different par to be selected depending on the tee being used. This allows for the game to reflect the par when organizations like the USGA use a forward tee on a par 5 and turn it into a par 4

Real Time ball physics. One of the challenges of pc golf is that nature has a lot of random elements that are hard to put into a golf game on the pc. To add back some of the realism rather than computing the ball flight at time of impact and then showing the result on the screen our physics model actually calculates the forces impacting the ball during flight including spin rate, drag, gravity etc and computes in real time the velocity and direction of the ball. This means that in our real world 3D environment if there is a puff of wind during the time your ball is in the air it will affect the direction of the ball. This brings a new level of uncertainty, excitement and immersion to the game as the anticipation of where the ball is going to go once you hit it.

Today we posted a 10 minute video on how easy it will be to create a hole and play it using our tool set we have spent the last 12 months developing. All games are only as good as the content that is developed to support them and this tool set will allow almost anyone in the golf community to create stunning 3D golf courses for the gaming community to develop. It is the second video.

Perfect Golf - The next generation of PC golf has just launched a kickstarter to complete the game play. With over 12 months already invested in creating the golf course design tools to generate the most realistic golf course environments in 3D this game has the potential to change online and offline golf on the computer.
