Forsaken Fortress
Basic combat
December 10, 2012 - Photon Productions

Basic Features

1)You can take up to 9 people on an expedition. You can divide them into three squads(green, blue and red)
2)You control your own "hero" and issue general orders(GO TO, FOLLOW, COVERING FIRE....) to your squads.
3)The AI will intelligently act based on your orders. They will try to take cover when under fire or try to revive unconscious comrades, etc.
4)Your squad member's morale and personality will also influence their action. If a character is a coward, he or she may just flee if the situation has gone wrong.

To Be Discussed
1)Reinforcement from the base?
2)Artillery support from the base? (Mark the target and call in some hot rocks!)

I would say reinforcements should be only possible if your base has the right vehicles or the position is in the near because if you need reinforcements they have to be there in within 24 hours there. (My Opinion because if someone calls help the enemy won't w8 3 or more days with atacking the targets if they know that they have a big advantage)

The artillery support sounds interesting and nice but if it will be a part of the game the player should find parts of every howitzer or other artillery plus the ammo for it and they should have a range too.

will there be a realistic situation like finding another survivor camp or a survivor city?
also what about the survivors having kids? and finding animals

Reinforcements should be based on how well your camp, hut, house, fortress of doom or whatever is established. So it goes from sending out Jeff with a sharp stick to sending him out with as much firepower as possible (light armored comvoy, tank, chopper gunship, deathstar, ect).

scmh1288 - yes, mainly transportation at this point. We feel that tank is too powerful

Perhaps a convoy of some sort? Instead of a tank of apc of something, maybe two or three technicals?

Thanks for the thoughts Czepis. We will have open discussion on our forum and welcome to join!

The reinforcing idea has a point, but the artillery is pretty strange. I mean, if you could call a few shots, it would mean, that the base must be well armed with lots of badass ordnance and weaponry (some important military base). But, guys, you're the bosses!
