Greenlight is being retired. For more information on how to submit games to steam, refer to this blog post.

Hi guys. Today, I bought my Greenlight license. This means that once a playable version of the game is up and running, you will be able to vote for it to see it on steam for sale. A lot needs to be done before then:

-Need more obstacles.
-Need to finish the level Editor
-Need to work on a .NET wrapper for the Steamworks API.
-Much more stuff that is too technical to list here.

Its a long road but I've taken a big step here and I hope there'll be more breakthroughs for us in the future.

Hi everyone! If you haven't found out from my other pages yet, the new level editor is now available for FREE Alpha testing. It's not finished yet, but you can get a glimpse at some of the graphics that will be used in the completed game. You can download the level editor from here:

Planned additions for Level Editor Alpha V1.1

-ability to change the window size/change resolution.

-add a help button for those too lazy to read the README.txt file included with the editor.

Have a wonderful day and stay tuned for my next update.

Huzzah! We've gained over 170 visits in one day on IndieDB. not only that, but we've risen in popularity right back into the top 200 again on IndieDB! I'm really grateful to you all for taking an interest in my game and it's really given me a boost. I promise to show you more of W.I.I.C.T. soon, but right now, I'm busy redesigning the User Interface of the games level editor so that it's more suitable and appealing for public use. However, I will let you know that I am negotiating with someone to see if he will create art for the game. If things go well, you could see some art dedicated to the game and maybe some actual graphics that will be used IN the game. Once again though, Thank you all so much for your interest. I will try not to disappoint.

This is Christopher Knox from Team Chaos signing out.

Good news! WIICT has now reached Version 0.3.0! Also, The game is now called WIICT(it's an acronym. I'll reveal what the full title is later).Rather than bore you with an unnecessary speech, I'll just give you the details.

1. A new particle engine has been added to the game allowing the use of small sprites for purposes of simulating certain things(blood, other liquids, fire embers, etc). This engine will come in handy during later development.

2. I've finally worked out and implemented a missile that homes in on the player. Currently all the missile does is follow the player around and do nothing else, but it WILL kill the player once I've enabled the player to die(I just need to complete the players "death" animation).

3. I've added an Exit to the levels.(It's just visual for now. I'll get it to work first, then replace the texture with an animated one later.)

1. a small missile appears in the top left corner of the window.

2. the particles that are emitted don't stay where they should in the world.

Bug Fixes!!!

A launcher to fire the homing missiles with.

Stationary and moving laser.

Possibly a non-homing missile.

A menu and Title screen system.

Animated Cutscenes.

I'll see you all next update!

Version 2.2 Bugs and Features:

1. Sorry, no enemies yet, but I've implemented a new way to tell EXACTLY where you can teleport which will prove VERY useful, especially when teleporting next to floors, walls and ceilings.
2. There has been a rather noticible overhaul on the graphics quality of the game. It's not complete yet and whether these new graphics are final have not been decided yet. Still, looks a damn sight better than the inanimate stickfigure and blank tiles that I used before.
3. Also, modified the Jumping a bit. Tried to make a bit slower.
4. Bug fixes. Lots of it. too many to list 'em all but here's a few : 1. Player silhouette would appear inside impassable tiles. 2. Player silhouette would move away from mouse cursor when the game side-scrolled downwards. 3. Player could teleport inside floors/ceilings. This bug appeared earlier but was fixed via an alternate method. Don't know how it popped up again.

Plans on what to add
Add a Title screen and Main menu.
Add Enemies.
Add Homing Missile launchers(will require a Maths Expert for that).
Add Obstacles.
Modify the movement to be acceleration/friction based
