Go to Hell Dave
March 27 - Bungeeman

So it has probably become obvious at this point that 'Go to Hell Dave' has been dead in the water for quite some time and I think that it is only fair that we give you some sort of explanation.

During the creation of this game, Alex and I sunk all of our time and all of our money into trying to make the best game we could. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and we were forced to focus on survival for a while. During that time, it became apparent to one of us that making games was not where he saw his future going.

Go to Hell Dave is and always has been a two-man project and without both of us, it could never work. So consequently there are now no plans to bring Go to Hell Dave to Steam or to finish the game.

We do, however, have a fully voice-acted, almost perfectly working demo of a large part of the opening level which you can downlaod here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0r61bvozz3x9rih/GTHD%200.0904.rar?dl=0

I hope this goes some way towards an apology for effectively failing all of you and we'd both like to thank you all for the amazing support and patience that you've shown to us over the years. We're not going anywhere and we'll keep you informed about any future projects, as well as posting cool stuff that we think you might enjoy.

Keep having fun

p.s. A few technical notes:

If you're having trouble running the game then please run the 'winsetup' application and check the 'run in a window' box. If it still isn't working then try changing the graphics driver to 'direct3D.'

I realize it has been a while since any activity took place on this page, but there is a good reason for that. Since being Greenlit, all our focus has been on two things:

1. Getting a good quality demo prepared, with decent voice acting and a bug-free, entertaining and grimy hell to explore.

2. Getting the assets together for a professional-looking Steam page. Naturally, upon being Greenlit we were offered a proper Steam page but we have decided ot hold back until we had some better screen shots and a professionally made demo video.

As you can imagine, on a budget of absolutely nothing these things take time because we have to learn to use tools that we were prevbiously unfamiliar with. But rest assured, this game is still happening, we are still working on it and perhaps most importantly, we're still enjoying ourselves.

Once again, thanks so much for your continued support and most of all....thanks for getting us Greenlit!

It's been a while since we posted an update. I thought I'd better post on here and let you guys know that we're still alive and we're still making this game. We've begun recording voice actors now and we're very close to completion of the demo. We really can't wait to give it to you guys and see what you think of it.

In the mean-time, if you would give us a vote on the link below, it would be a great help to us in our journey to get to E3 and we'd be eternally grateful to you all.

Thought I'd share our interview with GDSWORLD, it should give you an insight into how we think, what we do and why we love making games.

Hope you like it.
