V1.7 Alpha Demo Available for Download
November 24, 2012 - peterfunnell

Greetings, people!

I've posted a demo version in the Work in Progress section on the Game Maker Community website. This post can be accessed through the following link:

http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=561224

NOTE: This demo does not include the tutorial, as I am currently making improvements to the previous tutorial. Thus, a list of controls has been included in the aforementioned post.

Also, I should mention that this Alpha demo was originally intended for other GM developers to try out, so it may not be very 'flash' by Steam standards. In any case, I hope you enjoy it, and many improvements will be made!

Kind regards,

Peter B. Funnell

Well so far I love the look and feel of everything. Like others have said, that System Shock vibe is there and you can of course detect others such as Doom. This will be something great when it's done :D

I'm looking forward to the story/lore and tense moments whether it's a firefight or an eery corridor.

What screen resolutions do you play on having for this game? It would be lovely to see widescreen settings, even if it would only be 1280x720 at the least :)

I can't open the locker '196' with the correct key. I keep trying the 'Q' and 'E' buttons.

I'll be the happiest person in the world if you can add an option to invert mouselook for your next release. :D

Other than that incredibly cool stuff. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

It's off to a good start, so far. Reminds me a lot of Marathon and System Shock 2.

I think the sprites need a lot of work, though. Maybe you should find a pixel artist to help you with this project.
