We have also set up a store for anyone who missed the IndieGoGo campaign to help support us and buy StarForge:

Your continued support will go towards the Stretch Goals that were not hit and help fund us the opportunity to develop them.

StarForge is still over a year away from release, but by purchasing a copy you are granted access to alpha, beta and of course the full game when they become available. Anyone who bought a copy through our store will receive a Steam key when the game is released on Steam.

We have huge news – Valve has accepted us through Steam Greenlight!

We moved from over 950th place to 16th place in just over 4 and a half weeks, and then Valve greenlit our game!

We will be releasing on Steam when we are done developing StarForge over a year from now. So everyone who pledged will receive a Steam Key for all their copies of StarForge when we release on Steam in the future.

Thanks to everyone for voting and making this possible. This is great news as StarForge will release to a huge community of over 45 million gamers when it is fully done! This kind of support will really enable us at CodeHatch to hopefully grow the company in the future, and deliver a lot more innovative gameplay even quicker.

The campaign is over at $135,453! A huge thank you to everyone who pledged and helped make this game possible. It was an great 4 and a half weeks and an amazing experience that we will never forget. It would not have been possible without everyone spreading it through word of mouth! We are working hard, and look forward to the next year of development.

We plan to keep everyone updated weekly through our blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Forums. Also, we plan to release the next major build in mid-December which will include multiplayer - all of which can be found through our main site:

For everyone wondering where their alpha access is: I will be going over all the accounts and making sure everyone has full access in the next few weeks. I’ve received over 4000 emails in the last month, and am still behind, so I apologize for anyone waiting on their game yet. So far over 3200 people have properly been given alpha access and their perks transferred to our systems.

Everyone will also receive an email detailing their perks, if you bought a shirt you can choose the one you want and your sizing, and when we plan to ship them.

As for all the fine folks who upgraded their account by making multiple pledges, I will also be processing this in the next few weeks. So no worries if you don’t yet see your upgrade applied.

So to sum it up, in the next few weeks you will get an email detailing:

- Give you full alpha access if you did not receive it yet.
- Info on gifting your extra copies to your friends
- Choose your T-Shirt and Sizing if you bought this reward
- If you pledged a higher amount we will detail the process of naming content
- Info on when we will ship the perks both digital and physical

Thanks again to everyone. Please email me at if you have any questions.

This has been a great campaign, and we could not have done this without you! :)

We've put up a new video of us walking you through a very early glimpse of a gameplay mode planned for StarForge. In this mode, combatants must protect their respawner, or the "vat", from waves of aliens. This is alpha gameplay so a lot has yet to be improved, and will be worked on.

We're happy to announce that we've made our $75,000 goal on the morning of November 11th! Huge thanks to everyone who believed in us and our project - we've been at work preparing the rewards for people who have pledged.
Now we can develop StarForge for a year straight, without needing to worry about getting kicked out of our apartments and freezing to death on the streets! :D

Despite having reached our main goal, it seems as though our fans are still steadily pledging funds for us. Together we've all raised almost 77,000 dollars. It continues to rise by the hour, and we need your help to make sure it stays that way! :) The more people contribute, the more room we will have to make StarForge a better game:

- We'll have more time to add features, and polish existing features.
- We'll be able to buy new software, servers, etc.
- We'd be able to commission other artists and developers to help us make components of the game.
- Finally, depending on how much we make we could bring in new talent to be part of the CodeHatch team.
We've outlined what your additional contributions will go towards on our IndieGoGo page:
You can read details about them here:

We'll be making updates (hopefully with video) going into more detail about how we hope to implement the features listed above and why the additional funding is important.

Again, a huge thanks to everyone! A special thank-you goes to the steam community as it is very likely that a large portion of our funds were raised by you guys!
