I for one prefer to base my opinions on actually playing a game through and providing a more educated opinion on the game in its entirety. However, Greenlight prevents us from actually doing this (Unless the developer has a demo available elsewhere). So for a majority of the developers/authors on Greenlight will have their games reviewed, praised, criticised or flamed based entirely on a couple of screenshots, a video or 2 and the authors description. Something that it seems that both the community and developers alike should keep in mind.
