Hey Agustin! I'm a fan of your games and waiting for Asylum! I wanted to back it when it was on kickstarted but unfortunately I was unemployed at the time... is there any way that I can back it now? I really want to support this game!

That's right, Scratches was an unexpected hit in Italy. The publisher (Power-Up) came up with an extraordinary distribution scheme which turned the game into a minor classic in you country. I have very fond memories of working with Italians :)

As for Asylum, it was announced in 2010.

Don't mention it. Actually i just popped in to say that here in Italy there is great expectation for this game. Scratches was acclaimed by both the italian critics and gamers and back in 2013 when Asylum was announced it raised the interest of the community and there are a lot of gamers waiting for it still today.

@malienvictor2004, you will be interested to hear that our Kickstarter backers are already trying the game and they unanimously agree that the move to Unity has been worthwhile. Keep in mind that Asylum is not a realtime 3D game, so comparing it to a game like Dreamfall Chapters is pointless. Unity has brought lots of new features to the table that we're using to enhance the look and feel of game, and I'm glad to say that performance remains great. So no worries about this!

I am now weary of the reception this game will receive since it has been migrated to Unity. If anyone has played Dreamfall chapters and or have seen the debacle with the Unity engine. Going to wait for players reviews before considering buying.

@snsherryah, I'm afraid that Asylum can be only played on first person, but you'll be glad to hear that our Kickstarter backers are already trying the game and they aren't experiencing any kind of motion sickness (even folks that do have issues with first person games). Hopefully you won't have this problem :)

Will there be an option for 3rd person view? I suffer from severe motion sickness in 1st person view in games. The worst part is the nausea doesn't stop after the Game stops, it can continue for a hour or more. I really want to buy this Game. I was so grateful Sherlock Holmes Crime and Punishment gave option of 1st person view and 3rd person view, or I would not have been able to play it.

@Hatch: It's definitely in our plans. We're focusing on a playable demo for our Kickstarter backers now, but the next step is to prepare new promo materials. Most likely we're going to make our Steam community hub live and post goodies there -- also a nice way to migrate these discussions to proper forums :)

@Custard Nuts Thank you for the kind words and the vote of confidence. We’re all convinced that Asylum will be a one-of-a-kind experience. It's looking way better than the short teaser, which barely featured any of the story (certainly the highlight of the game). As for hateful comments, I have no problems listening to good or bad criticism, provided it's articulated in a mature and respectful manner.

And yes, incoming new member of the family in one week. It’s all equally exciting and scary :)

@AgustinCordes my friend, pay no attention to hateful comments, take as much time as you need to make this game a brain exploder, just the short teaser demo that you put out was enough to make me believe that this could be one of the biggest horror games and will rival that of Outlast, Amnesia and so on, so keep up the good work dude and congratulations to you on the news of either becoming or soon to become a father.

Asylum is TBA 2015. I'm really sorry, but we're still painstakingly working on the game as usual. We achieved major breakthroughs in the project this year, such as a novel interface, beautifully animated NPCs, and jaw-dropping, moody visual effects -- the kind of stuff that we wanted to include in the game since it was initially conceived.

We're not going to say anything about its release date until we're 100% sure that we can meet the deadline, but Asylum is coming, and it will absolutely deliver on its promises. Stay tuned, and thank you for your patience!

@RonaldPalmer: Thank you for the comments. Certainly, we don't intend to rush anything and ruin a long 5-years hard work. We're currently adding lots of things to do and see in the game, and we'll start beta testing when we're ready. We're slowly entering in crunch mode, hoping we don't lose our minds in the process :D
