I admit I was indignant over this test. Several times, I got really frustrated at not being able to find the solution. I felt like I was going crazy in the first room, because I had to backtrack so many times. Now I know how other people feel about my maps that do that! I did not solve your 2nd room as intended, although I love your technique--I managed to lean the laser cube against the glass to redirect the laser.

The worst part was the ending, which wound up being much more straightforward than I ever deduced on my own. Thank you for putting in the video--it saved me some grief. Thumbs up for a challenging test!

This version is a little bit easier than the one that came after and thanks for telling me about the trapping issue.

Didn't notice much of a difference, but I did notice that it's now impossible to get trapped. Good work

Thank you very much.

Oh man, the third room with the ceiling laser was AMAZING. I was screaming at that chamber for 30 minutes trying to figure out how to do that. Finally figured it out and was like "...Ohhhh. THAT'S FUCKING BRILLIANT". And it was!
Andi  [author] Aug 25, 2014 @ 2:46pm
No problem, as a designer I don't expect that everything I make is going to be good. There have been rooms that I didn't really care for when I finished them.

Thanks for the comment. I value constructive comments such as yours.

Sorry that was so negative. The entire test was FANTASTIC up until THAT point. I was a split second too late and the fizzler formed just as my cube crossed it.

Thanks for playing. Perhaps I should add some time to the light bridge.
Kaesar Aug 23, 2014 @ 11:28pm
I'd have to give this a 3 out of 10. This was an EXCELLENT chamber for the first 3, but the 4th chamber with the jump gel and light bridge is just infuriating.

If you're a couple seconds too late after making the jump to hit the button, then onto the light bridge, you'll wind up fizzling one of the cubes and forcing you to completely backtrack through the entire chamber to get the cubes again.

Thanks for playing.

I loved this one. You always make good maps though. It was a lot of fun. Thanks and I'll see ya round the workshop.

Thanks for playing and thanks for trying so many of my tests, I appreciate it.

One of your hardest test. Very funny!. Timerun was awesome!!

Glad you liked it. If you want a challenge you should try Landlocked. I think it's one of my hardest tests.

awesome map I appreciate a challenge! I wonder if there are harder ones out there. I almost gave up because there were no checkpoints though lol.

I'm very happy that you enjoyed this map. Thank you for the compliments.

Regarding the last room, I'm going to leave it as is. I like having multiple solutions and I enjoy hearing about how others go about solving a chamber such as this.

another way of getting to the switch in the last room is by putting blue gel on the bottom of the middle pillar in the ceiling from the a portal on the floor. You are then able to bounce from the floor onto it and back downwith enough speed to reach the roof. This then allows you to bounce over to the switch.

That was great. Im a fan of subverting the popular uses ofanything within portal, hiding things and restartable mistakes, all of which features in this map. It is very anoying when you have no idea what your doing initally but rewarding at the end

I'm a bit embarrased about my solution to the center room. I'm afraid that I gave away the solution for Indignation: The Ultimate Challange. The walls were suppose to be steel and I was thinking in those terms when I made the video.

I’m glad that you liked it. I believe that any solution to a chamber is a good one so long as you remain within the parameters of the game. The intended solution to the last room is, in my opinion, the easiest one but if you’ve come up with an acrobatic solution that you like better, then go for it. I enjoy hearing about how people have completed my chambers using a different method than I had intended.

You should make it more apparent how to get to the switch in the last part. I found yet another solution that was more difficult to perform (you can press the button flying just below its plattform, and instead of walking across the room portal to the source of the hard light bridge jumping to the fizzler from there (with gel previously spread on the hard light bridge)).

In some aspects I would consider the chamber unclean. You can become stuck if the cubes get destroyed late in the chamber, that part with the laser catcher on the ceiling was not interesting and hiding the portable surfaces and paths in the bumps and dents in the ceiling is not really fair. A good puzzle as I see it should present all availabe components in a clear manner.

Anyway, I still gave a thumbs up, because all it all, there where nice ideas in your chamber. :-)

Watched your walkthrough. OMG, WTF, how could I be so blind??!! I just could have walked there on the light bridge and instead I'm doing the most convoluted maneuver imaginable...
Some things I did differently. Here is my walkthrough. Now I'm doing the last part less complicated of course.
Andi  [author] Sep 17, 2012 @ 2:52pm
tonicica - Actually no that is not the intended solution but if it works, more power to you. I'm going to post the intended solution as soon as I can.
spaceowl Sep 16, 2012 @ 8:12am
Have you a walkthrough? =(
toncica Sep 14, 2012 @ 4:44pm
I'm not sure if I enjoyed that. While it was challenging there were some things I'm not fond of. Hiding the only path, death trap - that's testing the player's good will. In the last room I did a probably unintended way because I didn't see another solution. slowing down gel and spreading it beneath the portal surface adjacent to the fizzler, press button to deactivate fizzler and grab cube, portal to the surface next to fizzler and fall down on gel, while moving up shoot a portal to the light bridge that catches me and the cube, jump on gel again to reach the ledge behind the fizzler - is that how you do it?
Andi  [author] Sep 14, 2012 @ 11:42am
Please don't do that, then you won't be able to try the next version of this map... the ultimate challenge. Comming next week.
FiftyForty Sep 13, 2012 @ 6:54pm
Ouch my brain... Confirmed solvable. Ima go kill myself now. Thanks
