My heart sank when I saw the portable wall behind the dropper in room 2 was gone! Took some time to find a work-round but got there eventually.Great fun again, Thank you.

good map. but wall on top of room 3 need to be unportalable. you can shot from the first laser room to top of this wall. after grabbed the sphere and grab the first cube and cube from room 2, open room 3 and finishing the level without going through room 2 feezzlers

I failed to complete this Xmas 2012 and just came back to it.This time I realised bits of Portable surfaces were hittable although obscure and managed to scrape through. Good map,Enjoyed a lot, Thank you.

Final room, with the funnel, could be better; I kept going into the funnel and trying to shoot thrugh the laserfield, which was quite difficult (not realizing this wouldn't work). You should remove the panel that makes that possible

The top window didn't seem brakable, didn't show as half-broken, so I spent more time looking for a solution until I finally broke it with the cube dropped on the faith plate.

Very nice again, thumbs up! I would agree with the "Medium Difficulty" rating. I wasted some time trying to get the companion cube, but it seems to be fixed in place.

I got stuck!!! Like, I was trapped!! I was THIS close to beating it!

I put the cube in the funnel to go up to the button on the ceiling, but it didn't go in right. So I go into the funnel to fix it and I ended up trapped between the cube and the button! I can't get out Dx

Other than that, fantastic map! But blarg being stuck. Oh, and I totally saw the Companion Cube at the end :3

Couple of maybe shortcuts: Someone already mentioned jumping back through the broken glass window. I also found that the third room was disappointingly simple (compared to the nifty second one), and so I think I broke it: I had two reflection cubes and a sphere. I used one reflection cube to hit the laser target, then I carried the second cube over the fizzler, and while by the exit door set up the tractor beam.

another good map.
when finished, it DID go to the thumbs up option.
unlike your last map.
glass is unbreakable in the basic editor, so I wonder if this caught people out ?
to go into part 3, I used the laser from the start.
so had a reflector, that I did not need for 3.
good exit, faster than a lift :)

I'm loving the series so far, but just so you know this chamber can be bypassed.

After you use the sphere to get laser cube 2, take them both back and put them on the buttons in the main area and connect two portals like this: http://filesmelt.com/dl/bypass1.jpg

Now jump out and curl around back through the hole where the glass originally was. Fire a blue portal at the wall the laser points at, take laser cube 1 through and your done.

You now have all tools required and portal control over the laser allowing you to press on to the final area without ever even thinking about the 2nd one: http://filesmelt.com/dl/bypass2.jpg

The laser gate was clever and part 2 in general a relief to have between first and last.
I did not mind the mailman routine since I was grateful for being able to keep them (not as mementos though!) My only gripe which I hesitate to say since the or other ways may be the correct way but Aiming of the laser redirect in part one required an extremely close cut to the edge of the glass - I don't know if this was the correct way where the exit portal was next to the receiver but extreme close calls on lining up lasers is a huge drain on enjoyment. The last segment (since I have already played part 4) was quite quick.

Hey thanks Mevious, didnt think of that, the problem is cause the end of this map was different originally and guess I just forgot that that fizzler was pointless, this is my least favourite map of the series and im thinking about changes I can make to make this map a little less tedious. Glad you liked the other maps too, thanks again for the feedback.

Just played the three released maps of the Dilapidation set. They are top notch puzzles. My biggest complaint is that you have a pointlessly confusing fizzler at the end of this map right before the exit door. I spent a while trying to figure out how to activate both catechers without needing portals, since that fizzler would destroy my portals before I could reach the exit door. There's no indication that it will turn off when the door is open even though it is integral to the solution. I'd suggest you remove it entirely.

This was not as good as the first one, especially since it felt like working at UPS, lifting cubes multiple times to solve the puzzle. The puzzle's hurdles were good but too much lifting. Also at the end of the first part the floor crumbles and you fall down. Yet in the beginning of this 2nd part you could see the sky...might wanna fix that. Otherwise looking forward for more.
