Now new and improved!
-Say goodbye dangerous ghastly glass flippanels and hello doors! (thanks #BEEMOD)!
-Worried about pesky old death-by-goo? Never worry again! Even clumsy testers will be pleased to know there is not one, but TWO* (thats 2) autosave points! (thanks again #BEEMOD)!
*(please note: first autosave is not until near the orange gel dispenser, so take care not to die before then!)

:D
Brad  [author] Oct 5, 2012 @ 8:10pm
@tripple actually, I've tried to fix it to you can't ninja about the main room. I'm sure you'll find ninja ways to solve each of the puzzles, but hopefully this will at least force you out of the main room :) i hope! Thanks for testing :)
Brad  [author] Oct 5, 2012 @ 7:54pm
@tripple Dude, with your ninja portal skills, I am happy for you to finish the level like that. I doubt most players will be able to do what you did :) well done :)
Brad  [author] Oct 4, 2012 @ 5:03pm
Will do Tripple! I've updated it now. I just increased the height of those glass walls of the altar. I also wanted to take away your fun little jumping floor, but decided to leave it as I like it there and it doesnt seem like it can be exploited anymore! Hopefully this will turn the thumbs down into a thumbs up :) I'll check out your maps too

Hhahaha :) Thanks TrippleB thats brilliant :) I'll fix it shortly (and in the meantime I'll delete yourur comments so that others dont cheat). I'll let you know when I've fixed it :)

Well, thank you for creating the map, and taking criticism so well, I really appreciate it. It's a lot of fun!
Vampirate24 Sep 23, 2012 @ 9:30am
It's pretty good. I'll look for cheats next time.
Brad  [author] Sep 23, 2012 @ 4:03am
@cyc. Thanks again for the feedback. I'll probably delete most of our comments in the near future. Merely a way to cover up allll the spoilers litered throughout :) i do appreciate the help you've given & I'm glad you finally got to complete it. I'm aware you can get the cubes without angled panels, and that you can complete the room with only one cube, but as you have to go through the room twice, having both cubes makes it a little easier. as for the bottom floor lift which doesnt go all the way down, thats an artifact from a previous version. something i should look at. As for the second lot of gel combo bouncing, i was hoping the grating on the ceiling (much like the area where you have to do it on the floor below would clue people in enough). I'll have a look at that pressure button at the top, but this map is already maxed out on entities (it would be a much prettier map if i could have more!)
cyc4015 Sep 23, 2012 @ 12:08am
After about three years of trying, I figured it out. So, since the whole point was to help, in the area near the top, where you have to do the gel launching, i'd suggest putting a stray blob up there, to cue the player in. I'd also suggest having the flinger throw the player to a different area up there, so that they are not immediately drawn to the button. They could even be thrown onto a second flinger, and sent to the place they need to be, just stopping there long enough to see the button, but not landing on it. I might also look into other modes of transport for the "check-points" the short lift would work better if it were inset, or a piston. I solved the second puzzle with only one of the cubes, and without ever having used the angled walls. Hopefully, you find my input helpful and not obnoxious. Once i started cueing into it a bit better, this level really clicked, and I had a great "Ah-HA!" moment toward the very end. It was really satisfying!
cyc4015 Sep 22, 2012 @ 11:04pm
May I recommend adjusting some of the lifts? the one that leads from the bottom would probably function better if it were a piston-type, coming all the way from the ground. Also, I'll try the map again soon.
Brad  [author] Sep 22, 2012 @ 6:25pm
@cyc Ah you are so close to finishing it! keep going past that pressure button. That pressure button does more than flip that panel. Its second function is to reverse polarity of the tractor beam which isnt yet activated, perhaps I need antlines...but they get a bit messy. as for a bunch of work to get back again, each level has a lift up to it which is activated on completion of the previous section (i.e. there is a lift to the top floor near the orange goo, the button is near the top of it...it just needs to be turned on). And dont worry about the laser, there is only the one reciever in the map and if you have faithplated up to where you are then the laser has served it's purpose...just dont fall down until you have a way back up :)
cyc4015 Sep 22, 2012 @ 2:20pm
I rode the flinger, and found myself staring at a rotating panel. I know it was intended as a cue, but again, I feel like I am just not sure what to do with it. Once I get over there, I have too many tools at my disposal, and I find myself wondering what I should use that panel for. I could try a gel, or the laser, or maybe I am just supposed to launch myself from it somehow? THat's the biggest problem I keep running into on this map, that I have too many tools at my disposal, and I am never sure which to use. Then, if I guess wrong, there's a bunch of work to get back to where I need to try again. On the other hand, I may actually just be stupid.
Brad  [author] Sep 22, 2012 @ 12:11am
@cyc have you managed to get the laser into the reciever? If not, get you and a laser cube to second level where the laser is. There is only one portalable wall you can direct the laser at...hopefully that clue helps
cyc4015 Sep 21, 2012 @ 11:50pm
Like I said, I made it through the second puzzle, with the flinging, and out onto the balcony again. THat was where I got stuck. For one thing, I only brought one of the cubes with me, because I only saw one button, so I didn't feel that I needed to bring a second one.
Brad  [author] Sep 21, 2012 @ 9:01pm
Updated again :) This time to prevent people from leaving puzzle pieces behind and to make the path to the second puzzle a little more obvious. and swapped out companion cube for a normal one (insert minute of silence here). i didnt want players to think it was special.
Brad  [author] Sep 21, 2012 @ 7:42pm
@cyc. I'll try and give you hints without giving it all away, cos I'd like you to be able to complete it and then tell me where it could be made more straightforward without being too obvious. The first puzzle uses a laser cube and a frankencube. You need to make sure you bring these with you after you've opened the door they connect to. Have you completed the second puzzle? the room with the companion cube + laser cube in it?
cyc4015 Sep 21, 2012 @ 4:26pm
Man, I really suck at this level. I have gotten stuck again after the second Puzzle. I managed t o gel myself up to the platform with the lazer, and the pane of glass, but after that, I was lost. The thing is, if you have people who are completing it, I may be the problem, and you shouldn't have to spoon-feed the answers on it. I think it may just be a more advanced level than I can wrap my head around.
cyc4015 Sep 21, 2012 @ 2:50pm
I'll definitely be trying this again! Thanks for taking criticism so well. I never know what to expect from people on the internet. :)
Mr Fraggle (UK) Sep 21, 2012 @ 7:51am
It must just be me, I really have no idea after picking up the cube where to go next.
Mr Fraggle (UK) Sep 21, 2012 @ 7:21am
Will do and its great that you take crticism as it should be taken as nothing more than friendly comment. I played another guys offering ,which frankly was a mess and as kindly as I could told him where it possibly could be improved. His reaction was stuff you.
Brad  [author] Sep 21, 2012 @ 6:47am
Thanks for the feedback. It'll help me to improve the maps. I've opened up the entrance to the first area and swapped out an unintended red herring. It'll make the first puzzle a little easier, but ultimately that doesnt seem like a bad thing. As for the large chambers, in cases like this one, as a player I like playing maps where everything sort of comes together in the end, and the benefit of big open chambers is that i can reuse the same space and elements for different puzzles. Please give it another go and see if it's improved beyond a "thumbs-down"! Thanks again for the feedback.
Mr Fraggle (UK) Sep 21, 2012 @ 1:53am
Would love to try it again and I appreciate there are those that have played it and to some extent liked it. But i wonder how many others just gave up and also did not post of their frustration. I notice also you do seem to like big chambers.
Brad  [author] Sep 21, 2012 @ 1:48am
Thanks for the feed back guys. I'll see if i can make the direction you need to go a little more obvious. Once I do I'll repost and it would be great if you guys could give it another crack.
Mr Fraggle (UK) Sep 21, 2012 @ 1:41am
I too have no isea what is expected of me,I have a reflector cube and I can get to a button that raises a bridge to the blue gel. But I reaal am lost here. Thumbs down fom me.
cyc4015 Sep 20, 2012 @ 11:14pm
I have to admit, I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to go in this map. I saw the arrow on the wall, and followed that, but I felt like I was hiting a lot of dead ends. It may just be that I didn't get it, but I found this map to be really frustrating. The puzzle that I did manage to solve was very clever, but by the time I managed to get it slved, I was so frustrated that the next puzzle was too much to handle. Again, since others are enjoying it, I'm going to assume the problem is on my end, so I'm not going to downvote, but my experience was bad, so I'm actually not going to rate at all. sorry. :/
Brad  [author] Sep 19, 2012 @ 11:59pm
@ardiel Thanks again :)
Brad  [author] Sep 19, 2012 @ 8:10pm
@Ardiel, thanks for testing, I've made some modifications, it'd be great if you could check it one more time for me to see if your exploit is still there! thanks!
Brad  [author] Sep 19, 2012 @ 5:07pm
Thanks for the feedback. I have no idea how you managed to solve it all with only the first laser cube and no gel! =) But I might look at forcing people to go a certain way, without closing the map up too much.
=Harders= Sep 19, 2012 @ 7:45am
Wow this map is brilliant ^^ I love the checkered wall. The Puzzle and design of the chamber is amazing ^^ good job. thumbs up
