Nice logical chamber with clever cube reuse! Thanks!

I don't think I used the aerial faith plate even with the latest version. I just triggered the trapping dialog by attempting to solve it that way. I would just block tossing by creating a room similar to the single portal fling tests in the single player campaign. Did you export from the in-game editor?

After I looked at your video, I realised that you had another solution.
Cunning Conundrum Sep 30, 2012 @ 5:34pm
What other way to get the cube to the top button rather by throwing?! Otherwise, nice map!

Are you asking about exporting peti to Hammer or how to use Hammer. Whatever the last map you compiled in peti will be saved in Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\sdk_content\maps as "preview." Im awful at tutorials so the only thing i could really do if its the latter is give you some links to stuff that helped me when i first learned.
Xolarix Sep 26, 2012 @ 7:56am
and how do you do that layne?
atommalac Sep 25, 2012 @ 11:44am

Liked the map and the different look and comments at begin and end.

Obviously an edited PeTI map, and I was a little disappointed by the lack of detail in places. For the next update, I would work on detailing walls and adding a skybox, and fixing the fact that I can jump directly around the corner to the button.

vking - The basic version is to use Hammer's texture tool and find the dirty textures to replace the clean textures(assuming your exporting from the PETI).
Metzger - thanks for updating it

Ladylake Sep 15, 2012 @ 12:46pm
i been trying to do this map for hours please someone tell how to do it even if it just a youtube page thank you
Layne  [author] Sep 14, 2012 @ 11:39pm
That's fine. You essentially solved it the same way as your supposed. That spot does actually serve a purpose in allowing you to trap yourself and hear some GLaDOS dialogue (the only real secret I guess).
nhenrica Sep 14, 2012 @ 10:44pm
Good map. I'm not sure if I solved it correctly though, as when I stood on the button that operates the funnel, I just got the cube to come straight to me by placing my second portal above the first one, but then it was hard to stand on the button, as the funnel would push you off.
Layne  [author] Sep 13, 2012 @ 9:59pm
That solution never crossed my mind either. Thanks.
Brad Sep 13, 2012 @ 8:33pm
Alrighty :) faithplated to the little flippanel that appears to save me from falling. from there i could place a portal on the high wall on the east end (sortof above the second cube). Jumped down, placed the first cube on the button, put my second portal on the button-activated flip wall, faithplated through and picked up the second cube, moved my high portal to the ground at the east end and walked back through again.

Nice little puzzle.
Layne  [author] Sep 13, 2012 @ 11:09am
How did you reach the second cube then(or did you even need it)?
Brad Sep 13, 2012 @ 6:04am
Hi Layne, I also might have "cheated" as I didnt use the tall portalable walls to the north and west of the first cube (exit is on the southern end of map for reference).
timer Sep 13, 2012 @ 5:34am
good map
BEN 77 Sep 13, 2012 @ 12:18am
Well done :)
Layne  [author] Sep 9, 2012 @ 10:58am
That solution never even crossed my mind when testing. Thanks for the walkthrough.
