@Teschmacher: Use the help console command. Type 'help A New Beginning' and it will give you the Item ID.
Teschmacher Jan 22 @ 9:52am
Would it be possible to get the item ID for the book "A New Beginning"?
Syclonix  [author] Jan 5 @ 6:22pm
Thanks jaklz111 cheers to you too! And thank you for your respectfullness, even if we do differ in our views.
jaklz111 Jan 5 @ 4:20am
@Syclonix Just seems a bit odd to place your religious views onto an unrelated modding site.

Cheers for the mod though it works great.

@bossman5576, @PandaSlayer, @mycastlecellar: Thanks for your support :) Have a blessed day.

@jaklz11: The bible quote's there for two reasons; because Christians are called to honor God in every aspect of our lives and because we want to share the eternal life that God promises through Jesus. I'm always willing to talk so feel free to msg me.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John: 3-16. King James Version. The NIV is not as correct as it should be. I have both versions and have found mistakes in the NIV. I'm sorry if I offend you.
DANGERMOUSE Sep 22, 2013 @ 4:16am
I use the other mods but i just dont like this one...i prefer the Standing Stones over Birthsigns
mycastlecellar Sep 7, 2013 @ 9:59am
I say this for all Syclonix[s Over haul mods and will post on each of them. Great work and I give two thumbs up and favorite on making better NPC's for Skyrim. Keep up the good work Syclonix. You have my vote.
Hobbesgoblin Aug 18, 2013 @ 6:40am
Great mod! I too run with Random Alternate Start, and have never seen the "New Beginning" b ook. No problem though - it just means I have to be sure of my choice from the outset :)
Grish The Gamer Jul 29, 2013 @ 6:15pm
@Tangari Sub to the whole collection. It should be linked on this page.
basicgamer808 Jul 9, 2013 @ 12:18pm
I found this out recently that there where standing stones that let you change your birthsign in Oblivion (previous game) all over the place. But still a great idea!
Tangari Jul 1, 2013 @ 7:38am
Where is the original mod? The one that makes this one work?
Buddy Jun 27, 2013 @ 6:48am
Stfu tatzushocker you fatass troll. It's called religious freedom, dumbass.
questonmark times 18 Jun 23, 2013 @ 12:17pm

CCZKnight May 18, 2013 @ 6:48am
It must be something with the starting kits in RAS, beacuse I use Live Another Life (No offence to you or your excellent mod, but I'm a huge RPer and if im making a charecter whos mabey an Alik'r just entering skyrim i dont want to end up in riftin or something) and it works well.
Boxbot Apr 11, 2013 @ 10:11am
I have a question. Does Aetherial Crown from Dawnguard become useless with this mod?
THE KING Apr 6, 2013 @ 1:26pm
best mod ever
Syclonix  [author] Mar 30, 2013 @ 11:52am
Hmm that's not good! Thanks for letting me know.
aR»Tau'ri Mar 29, 2013 @ 11:16pm
Yeah, I know its how I found that mod =D

but I started a new character with Random Alternate Start on, and with it off.

with RAS on I didn't have the book, with it off I had the book =(
Syclonix  [author] Mar 29, 2013 @ 11:13pm
glad you worked it out Tau'ri. Although, I made the Random Alternate Start mod too so it shouldn't conflict with CCO.
aR»Tau'ri Mar 29, 2013 @ 7:19pm
I found out why my book was missing, I never had it, I'm also using a random start location mod that randomizes starting gear too apparently.
aR»Tau'ri Mar 26, 2013 @ 6:50pm
I seem to also have lost my copy of the book A New Beginning, would it be possible to place a purchaseable version of it somewhere in Skyrim?
Megan Mar 16, 2013 @ 11:28pm
I thought this was awesomeeeeeeee.
Terminal_6 Mar 16, 2013 @ 11:34am
I kind of misplaced the "A New Beginning" book, is there an easy way to get that back?
Jeremy Feb 23, 2013 @ 2:23pm
@Syclonix I like this addition to the overhaul mod you've made, however you need to take into consideration one thing, the Aetherium Crown added with the Dragonborn DLC. The Aetherium Crown allows you to carry the effects of 2 standing stones at once by storing the effects of the second choice in the crown. I am unaware how this mod will affect that but it might be something worth looking into.
slayer071 Jan 1, 2013 @ 5:02pm
Great mod...TY
Syclonix  [author] Oct 23, 2012 @ 10:07pm
Hi Ubertortle, I'm not sure what you mean by making the book standalone? What do you want to have it separate d from?
Krypturtle Oct 23, 2012 @ 6:44pm
Anyway to get that respec book as a standalone mode?
antfucker98 Oct 18, 2012 @ 9:21pm
Thx bugging the hell out of me
Syclonix  [author] Oct 17, 2012 @ 11:19am
lol. thanks Mr Mc Muffin4, I'll have to fix that.
antfucker98 Oct 17, 2012 @ 1:56am
On the second picture you spelt classes wrong
miragesabourin Oct 16, 2012 @ 6:53pm
Awesome. Should have figured the idea was already on the to-do list. XD
Syclonix  [author] Oct 16, 2012 @ 2:20pm
Hi miragesabourin,
That is a great idea and one that's already on my to do list! I'll update it here once I get to it.
miragesabourin Oct 16, 2012 @ 9:36am
Just as a thought, what if instead of flat-out removing the standing stones, it changed their effect?

For example, I choose the lover birth sign and I go to the shadow stone and activate it. I don't change birth signs, but instead I get a temporary, watered down effect, kind of like a blessing from the shrines.
antfucker98 Oct 16, 2012 @ 2:12am
Well this mod changes it to permanent birthsigns like I said was in Oblivion, by removing the standing stone yet again like Oblivion. I did not mean the whole entire mod collection.
polar.bear.79 Oct 15, 2012 @ 8:38pm
Your mod customizes everything right from the class. In Oblivion the customization began when you picked you birthsign. But its almost identical, the stats may be different but its obvious you've put a lot of thought and effort into your mods. Many will be grateful.
Syclonix  [author] Oct 15, 2012 @ 1:05pm
Thank you polar.bear.79! I don't recall ever being able to create a custom birthsign, but you can certainly create a custom class using the main Character Creation Overhaul mod.
Syclonix  [author] Oct 15, 2012 @ 1:05pm
@nocash: You are correct. A Woodelf specialized in Stealth with Pickpocket and Lockpicking as major skills would have +30% skill progression in both Pickpocketing and Lockpicking. As mentioned before, if you want to keep the overall leveling speed of vanilla Skyrim while keeping the relative differences please use Elys's Community Uncapper mod[skyrim.nexusmods.com] to slow down overall leveling to ~80%.

@muzzagraham: No, CCO - Permanent Birthsigns is just an optional module for the main Character Creation Overhaul mod which brings back custom class creation. CCO - Permanent Birthsigns simply makes it so that once you select a birthsign using the main CCO mod, you cannot change your birthsign again. This is done simply by removing standing stones from the game.
polar.bear.79 Oct 15, 2012 @ 8:25am
This is great if you prefer the way it was done in Oblivion. I didn't see a "custom" birth sign. I always liked creating my own. I'm not so sure one way or the other is better...just which you prefer. But its nice to have the option. Thanks for all the hard work...good job.
nocash Oct 15, 2012 @ 7:20am
@Syclonix I think I must not be understanding something about your CCO mod woks. Wouldn't a Wood Elf specialized in Stealth with Pickpocket and Lockpicking as major skills have +30% training speed in both Pickpocketing and Lockpicking (and maybe even a few others)?
antfucker98 Oct 15, 2012 @ 2:41am
So this is basicly changing all skyrims standings stones to birthsigns like Oblivion?
Syclonix  [author] Oct 14, 2012 @ 5:44pm
Hi Nocash, the most a skill can be maxed out to is 35% and only ONE skill can reach that high a level. Most skills are around 5-10% and remember you have a total of 18 skills. Only 6 can be chosen as major skills.

This serves to give a sense of relatively faster progression for the major skills you have chosen. It also means that your level progression across the board is ~15%-20% faster, but this can be corrected by slowing down overall leveling speed by 15-20% using Ely's Community Uncapper mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1175
nocash Oct 14, 2012 @ 12:19pm
I think it would be pretty common for a skill like sneak or one-handed to be affected by racial, specialization, major skill, and standing stone bonuses, causing it to train 50-55% faster right from the beginning of the game. I haven't tried the mod yet, so I can't speak from first-hand experience, but wouldn't that cause some balance issue? Or have you found that to not be the case?
chasrick3 Oct 12, 2012 @ 10:45am
yes,i am familiar with this and really like the way it allows customizing the toon to preferrence.
