Swords and Sorcery - Underworld
< >
Blazor26 Jul 16 @ 2:10pm
When will this be available on steam?
Feathers Apr 8 @ 10:03pm
This has been on my favorites forever! about time!
Pedro Q. Mar 23 @ 4:17am
Epees and Elementals?!
OlderBytes  [author] Mar 5 @ 1:57am
Daggers and Donkeys. Oh yes. ^^
[AS]Dwarfurious Mar 4 @ 6:23pm
Clubs and Casters?
Dairnon Mar 4 @ 3:47pm
Knife and Spells? xD
OlderBytes  [author] Mar 4 @ 1:44pm
Bards and Booze. Hey you did A so I figured I'd do B :D
OlderBytes  [author] Mar 4 @ 1:42pm
Well Dairnon it is Swords and Sorcery: Underworld. Dwarfurious Maces and Magic would probably cause problems for real :D
[AS]Dwarfurious Mar 2 @ 3:23pm
Maces and Magic ?
Dairnon Mar 2 @ 3:20pm
Ya but even if you created the name first, Sword and Sorcery has already became popular... using that name could potentially cause people to think your trying to use a similar name to get attention. Maybe Swords and Sorcery: (Insert another title here) could work? :/
OlderBytes  [author] Mar 2 @ 3:00pm
Oh if you're thinking about Superbrothers my first Swords and Sorcery came out in 2007 and predates it ;)
[AS]Dwarfurious Mar 2 @ 11:13am
Axes and Arcane?
OlderBytes  [author] Mar 2 @ 8:30am
I've been thinking about a name change. It was probably ill advised. Not because there are games with that name but because it defines a sub-genre for both games and litterature.
Dairnon Feb 26 @ 9:20pm
I think the name needs changing... Sword and Sorcery already exists... Swords and Sorcery is clearly try to feed off that name.
OlderBytes  [author] Dec 12, 2014 @ 12:24pm
You can all dwarf. It is much harder to not diversify classes than races. Races get resist bonuses mostly (dwarves resist sleep).
[AS]Dwarfurious Nov 8, 2014 @ 10:41pm
Are there class/race restrictions or can i all dwarf?

Can't wait to play it on steam!
Good luck!

Like Wizardry! Upvoted
Rad Dad Redemption Jul 4, 2014 @ 11:27am
I bought this from the developer a while back, and it is a much better Might and Magic game than the new one that came out recently. Unfortunately, I rarely play it because it's not on Steam, and I am a tremendously lazy jerk. Vote for this so I can be validated!

Good to hear. I purchase from GamersGate pretty often after this crapshot with Steam (used to purchase primarily from Steam, but they destroyed my trust in them, so that's no longer the case), as well as a number of other sites, so I'll reinstate my upvote at this time. Thank you for getting back to me on this.
OlderBytes  [author] Mar 21, 2014 @ 2:27am
@WonderGamer It is currently available on the OlderBytes site and Gamersgate. I don't have a problem giving Steam activation keys if Steam allows it. Sorry about your mishap with them - I hope it works out and thanks for inquiring :)
WonderGamer Mar 19, 2014 @ 10:47pm
I am going through a list of Greenlight items that I have upvoted based on a decision made by Steam to reject a refund request on a defective purchase. At this point I am removing my upvotes until I get some answers to some questions:
- Will it be available for purchase through other sites?
- Will people purchasing through other sites get a Steam key?

Whether I purchase it at all will be dependent on whether it will be available for purchase through other digital distributors. Whether I will upvote this or not will be dependent on whether purchases from other sites will require Steam activation or if we will be provided with Steam keys from those purchases once it passes Greenlight. I don't have a problem with Steam activation if it's a must, but I won't purchase new games directly from them anymore.

Hell yeah more turn based grid based dungeon crawlers. Can't get enough of those!
Pezdetss Jan 28, 2014 @ 2:08pm

HADES2001 Jan 11, 2014 @ 7:16am

Nicht schlecht
St@rLine Dec 26, 2013 @ 6:58pm
Look like one good kind of game
Melcafist Nov 18, 2013 @ 1:27pm
The new Might and Magic and that about it, need more of old school around that is for sure.
Axebane Nov 17, 2013 @ 6:18pm
Looks like my kind of game! Thank you for developing a grid-based first person dungeon crawl, because there are just not enough of them being made these days!
[SW] Warforged Sep 29, 2013 @ 11:12pm
Hope to see this one!
Rum3c4 Sep 14, 2013 @ 2:18pm
Yes! please ...
Hindenburg 5/6/1937 Sep 10, 2013 @ 1:13am
I really have a soft spot for first person dungeon crawlers like this. Seems there has been a lack of them. I loved MM7 and Wizardry 8!

pleassssssssse add this game!!
Shitrock Jul 16, 2013 @ 11:26pm
Reminds me of Dungeon Master (I think the name was) for the Atari.
Corpsolian Jul 9, 2013 @ 7:02pm
Needs a bit of polish but seems promising
Shmapn.Sadstyle May 27, 2013 @ 4:52am
I like both. I'm just saying that it wasn't a problem with Grimrock like gibble said.
OlderBytes  [author] May 26, 2013 @ 1:31pm
Hi Shmapn. That's actually kind of irrelevant. Not choosing RT isn't criticism of RT games. Just a preference for TB. Thanks everyone for your comments!
Shmapn.Sadstyle May 25, 2013 @ 4:57am
EoB was not turn based and it ruled. Real time is not a problem at all.
Towlie the Magnificent May 22, 2013 @ 6:55am
nice might and magic feel :D happy to see this!
WiseManSlayn May 14, 2013 @ 8:22pm
As others have said, but well worth reiterating, very nice Might & Magic feel to this!
SolRevr Mar 30, 2013 @ 4:14pm
I bought this game on your site and it is amazing. Love the Might & Magic feel. Really hope you can get this on Steam. Would love to see the Steam achievements added.
Gibble Fenwick Mar 2, 2013 @ 3:56am
@Alexandra Moldovia: The "problem" with Legend of Grimrock is that combat is real-time, not turn based. I'm not saying that LoG is a bad game, just that it cannot be considered as a substitute for Swords and Sorcery.
Alexandra Moldovia Feb 23, 2013 @ 9:49pm
Graphics looks dated, but... it might be good upvoted. (As for an example of Non dated graphics, might look at Legend of Glimrock)
blckruc47 Feb 22, 2013 @ 10:30am
Okay Valve, ball is in your court. Greenlight it already.
blckruc47 Feb 22, 2013 @ 10:27am
The Graphics remind me of Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall. I really want to play this on Steam.
OlderBytes  [author] Feb 22, 2013 @ 8:50am
Yes, please :)
blckruc47 Feb 21, 2013 @ 5:24pm
Please Valve, put this on Steam.
