I bought this from the developer a while back, and it is a much better Might and Magic game than the new one that came out recently. Unfortunately, I rarely play it because it's not on Steam, and I am a tremendously lazy jerk. Vote for this so I can be validated!

Bad!

Good to hear. I purchase from GamersGate pretty often after this crapshot with Steam (used to purchase primarily from Steam, but they destroyed my trust in them, so that's no longer the case), as well as a number of other sites, so I'll reinstate my upvote at this time. Thank you for getting back to me on this.

@WonderGamer It is currently available on the OlderBytes site and Gamersgate. I don't have a problem giving Steam activation keys if Steam allows it. Sorry about your mishap with them - I hope it works out and thanks for inquiring :)

I am going through a list of Greenlight items that I have upvoted based on a decision made by Steam to reject a refund request on a defective purchase. At this point I am removing my upvotes until I get some answers to some questions:
- Will it be available for purchase through other sites?
- Will people purchasing through other sites get a Steam key?

Whether I purchase it at all will be dependent on whether it will be available for purchase through other digital distributors. Whether I will upvote this or not will be dependent on whether purchases from other sites will require Steam activation or if we will be provided with Steam keys from those purchases once it passes Greenlight. I don't have a problem with Steam activation if it's a must, but I won't purchase new games directly from them anymore.

Hell yeah more turn based grid based dungeon crawlers. Can't get enough of those!
Pezdetss Jan 28 @ 2:08pm

Look like one good kind of game
Melcafist Nov 18, 2013 @ 1:27pm
The new Might and Magic and that about it, need more of old school around that is for sure.
Axebane Nov 17, 2013 @ 6:18pm
Looks like my kind of game! Thank you for developing a grid-based first person dungeon crawl, because there are just not enough of them being made these days!
Warforged Sep 29, 2013 @ 11:12pm
Hope to see this one!
Rum3c4 Sep 14, 2013 @ 2:18pm
Yes! please ...
FragileDonkey Sep 10, 2013 @ 1:13am
I really have a soft spot for first person dungeon crawlers like this. Seems there has been a lack of them. I loved MM7 and Wizardry 8!

pleassssssssse add this game!!
Shitrock Jul 16, 2013 @ 11:26pm
Reminds me of Dungeon Master (I think the name was) for the Atari.
Corpsolian Jul 9, 2013 @ 7:02pm
Needs a bit of polish but seems promising
Shmapn.Sadstyle May 27, 2013 @ 4:52am
I like both. I'm just saying that it wasn't a problem with Grimrock like gibble said.
OlderBytes  [author] May 26, 2013 @ 1:31pm
Hi Shmapn. That's actually kind of irrelevant. Not choosing RT isn't criticism of RT games. Just a preference for TB. Thanks everyone for your comments!
Shmapn.Sadstyle May 25, 2013 @ 4:57am
EoB was not turn based and it ruled. Real time is not a problem at all.
Gingey231 May 22, 2013 @ 6:55am
nice might and magic feel :D happy to see this!
WiseManSlayn May 14, 2013 @ 8:22pm
As others have said, but well worth reiterating, very nice Might & Magic feel to this!
SolRevr Mar 30, 2013 @ 4:14pm
I bought this game on your site and it is amazing. Love the Might & Magic feel. Really hope you can get this on Steam. Would love to see the Steam achievements added.
Gibble Fenwick Mar 2, 2013 @ 3:56am
@Alexandra Moldovia: The "problem" with Legend of Grimrock is that combat is real-time, not turn based. I'm not saying that LoG is a bad game, just that it cannot be considered as a substitute for Swords and Sorcery.
AlexandraMoldovia Feb 23, 2013 @ 9:49pm
Graphics looks dated, but... it might be good upvoted. (As for an example of Non dated graphics, might look at Legend of Glimrock)
blckruc47 Feb 22, 2013 @ 10:30am
Okay Valve, ball is in your court. Greenlight it already.
blckruc47 Feb 22, 2013 @ 10:27am
The Graphics remind me of Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall. I really want to play this on Steam.
OlderBytes  [author] Feb 22, 2013 @ 8:50am
Yes, please :)
blckruc47 Feb 21, 2013 @ 5:24pm
Please Valve, put this on Steam.
OlderBytes  [author] Feb 21, 2013 @ 4:19pm
@arcatea1 Translations are planned, but further down the line - when I've finished upgrading the engine for Sovereign (the sequel).
arcatea1 Feb 21, 2013 @ 12:02pm
Macht das Spiel mit Deutschen Texten. Germany.
Rendezvous Feb 12, 2013 @ 11:22am
Brings back memories of Might and Magic. Looks promising.
blckruc47 Feb 11, 2013 @ 9:22am
I love the dungeon crawler games. Looking forward to this one.
OlderBytes  [author] Feb 5, 2013 @ 3:18am
@countwolf1 Thank you :)
countwolf1 Feb 4, 2013 @ 11:33am
Swords and Sorcery- Underworld looks and sounds amazing!!
OlderBytes  [author] Feb 4, 2013 @ 12:57am
@irrevenant That's in my list of nuts to crack. I'll try to work it in the sequel, then apply it (and other things) to UW later.
irrevenant Feb 3, 2013 @ 3:29am
The classic pseudo-3D look is cool, but would it be possible to add just a tiny bit of motion blur or something when you turn, just as a subconscious cue to help you keep track of which way you're facing?
OlderBytes  [author] Jan 28, 2013 @ 7:35am
@Yezandriel Yes, the paladin is limited that way but it serves a purpose to have a healing tank in the front lines. While it makes him a bit less exciting to play, there are 5 other characters to play around with as well ;)
Yezandriel Jan 27, 2013 @ 10:35am
Thanks, you rule! ...seems well balanced to me for everything but the pally. the no skills at all thingy degrates him to a stand in harms way emergency heal button. works but everyone else gets some candy later on. he just doesnt. just my 2 cents
Amp Jan 24, 2013 @ 4:20am
Omg!! this looks so AWESOME!!!
Seaspite Jan 20, 2013 @ 9:40pm
Very cool. Does remind me of Might and Magic
Rad Dad Redemption Jan 20, 2013 @ 5:20pm
Also I stand corrected. This is a Might and Magic clone, not Wizardry. I refuse to support this product for another second! (It's still a pretty great little game)
OlderBytes  [author] Jan 20, 2013 @ 5:55am
Thanks all. @Shadax I'm not sure what the rules are concerning giving Steam keys but if I can I see no reason not to on my end.
fatalix3d Jan 19, 2013 @ 7:57pm
Nice idea, waiting on steam!)
TheBlackAdderBG Jan 19, 2013 @ 10:18am
Great game!Waiting for the sequel with huge anticipation!
Rad Dad Redemption Jan 18, 2013 @ 10:18pm
I've already purchased it (five dollars for a quasi-Wizardry was the right price for an illness induced three-day weekend) but are there any plans to hand out steam keys should this get greenlit?
Jaybles Jan 16, 2013 @ 11:40pm
Played the demo and enjoyed it. It's good to see people revisiting what has become an almost forgotten art. As Stika said games like Legend of Grimrock prove the community wants more. We need more good first person dungeon crawlers. Keep up the good work.
