Actually I'm working on a "reimagining" of the original game that I will be releasing on Steam. Eventually.

sega42596 : There were online leaderboards at one point. I think the download version on my website has it, but the code (or at least the server info) to post it has been taken out of the source version
sega42596 Jan 10, 2014 @ 8:34pm
When it comes out you should add online leaderboards

Looks like a fun little title, sure I can give this a chance.
Have a Yes from me. Currently downloading the game now from your site.
I sure hope it hasn't been abandoned, or perhaps you're working on another game? Who knows. I wish you luck in your quest regardless. :)

True :P

ZoidbergForPresident: You can go play it right now fro free, so it's technically not abandoned ;)
ZoidbergForPresident Sep 9, 2013 @ 11:57pm
There should be a way to mask those abandonned projects. :/

Sorry, it looked nice...

Ehh.. It doesn't look that bad but it brings nothignnew to the genre.
Also, what Curgeoth said.
Nobody wants to go play First-Person Shooter or PointNClick the games.
Just A Bear Jan 15, 2013 @ 12:32am
It really does bring anything new to the scene, you can find flash games for free online that are similar to this
Number 1 Jan 10, 2013 @ 1:05am
really nice
Jerry Dec 30, 2012 @ 9:45am
You're flying pack of balls or a cloud or something that shoots stuff with and there's cool soundeffects.

This is the 2nd game in a row that's on an acidtrip....
lapis lazuli Dec 8, 2012 @ 10:02am
i would play it for $0.99, but not any more
goblin girl Dec 3, 2012 @ 4:34am
Ugh. This needs a new name, stat. It's not cute -- it's like naming a game "Platformer" or "Simulation." Very, very generic.
cass1opeia Nov 23, 2012 @ 4:03am
Dumb name. Here's a quarter, buy some imagination.

Churgethoth: The creator knows this and from his perspective it's not a bad idea - quite the contrary. Imagine all those people googling for shmups. Oops.
KiKiTuTu Nov 20, 2012 @ 4:22pm
Yeahh :D
Aimshot [N4U] Nov 19, 2012 @ 2:36pm
Good game for kill boring time
Jeneki Nov 9, 2012 @ 6:50pm
May want to make enemy bullets a different color than your own to help them stand out more. Generally in shmups, enemy bullets are the most prominent thing in the game since you need to be able to visibly track them at all times.
Zoid Oct 14, 2012 @ 8:41pm
The term "shump" refers to the entire genre of games. It's a bad idea to call your particular game the same term. It would be like some crappy little tower defense game calling itself "Tower Defense".
makeshiftwolf Oct 14, 2012 @ 6:09pm
As nice as this looks, theres just soooo many of these types on Greenlight and already on the internet that I just can't upvote it. The market is flooded with these types of games, they aren't worth anything.
xboxpants Oct 3, 2012 @ 2:41pm
Wow, this looks way better in action than in the screenshots. Give it a watch before you judge it.

I really like some of the things you're doing, here. The "orbs" let you take a few hits, but make it really meaningful if you do, so you still want to avoid it. The tiny bullets look lame at first, but it's a good thing for gameplay. Often you can't tell exactly how close you can get to a bullet or projectile in a SHMUP before you get hit, but here, the hitboxes are extremely clear

I probably wouldn't buy this for $5, but maybe for cheaper. If you put some more work into it, or made a sequel, I bet you could make it a hit. :)
dharma_logos Oct 1, 2012 @ 8:28pm
It looks like you shoot an enemy 20 times and nothing happens until it suddenly blows up. Can't tell if your weapons are even doing any good or not until you kill it.
Tyuriwen Sep 22, 2012 @ 3:03pm
Like many have said before me, there are a variety of similiar games on the web or available as apps on mobile devices. Paying for such a game, as good as it looks, just doesn't sound logical when there are plenty of free alternatives.
videogame expert Sep 19, 2012 @ 9:20am
Looks stewpitt, make a real game with a real art direction or a better design next time. Also don't make 2d games anymore pls
Goldenkitten Sep 17, 2012 @ 10:52am
Does it get harder? The video makes it look like its somewhere along the lines of Gradius, wondering if that's a reasonable comparison?

I'll still upvote, looks like good times either way. I just ask because from the video at least it does appear on the easy side for a bullet-hell. Also is there more variation in the graphical presenation as all the screens presented look rather generic and similar to one another.
Kira Nerys Sep 17, 2012 @ 6:15am
5 bucks? Yeah, I understand that you want to make money with ths, but even though you get half the price with the Greenlight code, I still think of those people who don't do it. I'm giving you a thumbs up anyway just to look how well this game will do.
Charcoal  [author] Sep 16, 2012 @ 2:46pm
Pricing would obviously be negotiated with Steam. I would also be taking advantage of every single sale and bundle that was offered to it.
It currently $4.99 on my site and half price using the code "greenlight"during checkout. Also, anyone using the Greenlight code will have copy on Steam if/when it releases.
Kira Nerys Sep 16, 2012 @ 2:29pm
If it was F2P or available for $1.99 I'd consider voting it up. But as I don't know how much it will cost, I'm voting this down. I mean - it looks like a pretty good flash game, but I would never buy it for more than the mentioned two bucks.
Jovine Sep 15, 2012 @ 9:09pm
I think it looks interesting but the fact is I don't see what makes it so unique or different. Why would/should I pick to buy this game over other Arcade Shooters?
Odra Sep 14, 2012 @ 5:19pm
From what I can see in the screenshots and video. This different kind of bullet-hell shooter is interesting, and I would like to play it. However, it lacks too much in presentation for me to buy it, specially when there are so many other games at the same price tag.
Though it is arguable whether presentation should be a deciding factor over gameplay, in a game you need both of them. Dull sound effects, particle effects and explosions are just a no-go for a S.H.M.U.P.
(SS) Sylvia Plath Sep 14, 2012 @ 12:52am
it looks intersting but i would pay for it and it doesnt sound verry chalenging to my from the dirsciption
