Por ser em turnos, tem mais ainda meu respeito e minha vontade de jogar. Espero que tenha como ponto forte o enredo.

Not made by RPG Maker? The style looks like it.

I would vote a yes, but the only thing I have to go on are screenshots. There is no video, and I am not sure what to think of the game as of now. I will have STEAM ask me again later, and I will put in my vote, only if there is a video showcasing the eloquent mechanics of this game.

I am a student at CSUSB and although I cannot directly speak for everyone who worked on this, I can at least say what I have observed/heard about the situation. As you guys might know, this game has been developed by past students of CSUSB and at the moment this project is inactive. Those that I know of that have worked on this game have moved on to other things so unless there is enough demand for newer students to pick up the game to develop it more, this game is probably considered dead.

It's next to impossible to even consider upvoting anything that doesn't come with any form of video presentation with it.I can sympathasize with the dev for his/her difficulties, but even for free to play material candidate players deserve a fair look into what they are getting into.Ask me again later on those grounds.
elitesense Jun 28, 2013 @ 9:18pm
I went to the CSUSB where this was made. It took a couple years I remember someone doing a presentation on what they worked on and that was over a year ago, it looked pretty cool at the time

"Lacuna Reaver is completely free to play, and expected to launch next month, on September 20!"

Huh. How does that work? Different Time Zones?
Jimmy May 29, 2013 @ 6:05am
Looks like jrpg/Go FF Go!
GhostleeGaming Apr 12, 2013 @ 8:05am
It looks kinda like a Pokemon game.
Like it!

Might want to update the description "Lacuna Reaver is completely free to play, and expected to launch next month, on September 20!"

give me a video and I'll consider a upvote.
Catscratch Jan 31, 2013 @ 5:25pm
This just doesn't look that good.
Gotta downvote.

If the gameplay is challenging, I don't care if the art is bad (to an extent). So, gameplay videos or demo please before I vote.
ChairmanMeow Dec 25, 2012 @ 9:30am
neutral on this game, no gameplay videos
Wreckuiem Dec 18, 2012 @ 10:54am
WTB: Video to get an idea of actual game play.
Jesus Fetus Dec 16, 2012 @ 5:48pm
JRPG? More like JPEG, am I right?
Soah Dec 12, 2012 @ 9:46pm
I'm not sure why they're so proud of their coding and not talking about what the game offers that others don't. Saying it's "unique" is something SO overdone.
C Cooper Dec 1, 2012 @ 8:18am
1) Eight hours is absurdly short for an RPG. 2) Unless you're not describing it right, the Stamina mechanic has been around since the 1980s. 3) The hand-drawn graphics are painfully amateurish and don't even look like they belong together, and the tiles have an unpleasant "over-rendered" look.
NURU Nov 23, 2012 @ 11:20pm
I'm a Japanese. Also, I don't dislike JRPG. But, I don't think so I want play that bought a game like JRPG from Steam.
Cthulhupie Nov 18, 2012 @ 5:11pm
no No NO
PerpetualSin Nov 15, 2012 @ 11:32am
Generic JRPG is Generic. Also no video = no thanks.
Spank n Uranus Nov 12, 2012 @ 9:42pm
I'd be more inclined to vote yes if there were a video. I just can't do it on a few pictures.
D-B9K Nov 11, 2012 @ 11:04pm
While I would like to see more unique JRPGs on Steam [or at all, reallly], I cannot get over how badly-designed everything is. For all I know, it may be an excellent game, but when it looks like it was drawn by a 12-year old who really, REALLY likes anime, I just...I can't do it, man. I'm sorry.
dharma_logos Oct 13, 2012 @ 11:05am
I don't like upvoting this without a video, but it is free and my significant other was just saying she wants to play more RPGs. Upvote.
kalirion Oct 12, 2012 @ 8:23pm
Just finished it. Not a bad JRPG. The stamina really does add to the combat, and I liked the world/town graphics. The biggest level-up boosts to stats I remember seeing - 1 extra level is often all it takes for a boss to go from "how the hell?" to "very doable" to "piece of cake". Combat still gets monotonous though, but thankfully running away has a very high success rate. Story is average fair though, and there were a few bugs. At the very end, could do without the castle maze key hunt.

Overall, I'd say its worth a spot on Steam as a freebie.

1.2 GB HDD space? Does it use WAVs for sound and BMPs for images?
Kletian999 Oct 4, 2012 @ 10:00pm
Looking forward to see what the "fresh take" on turn based battles is.
Mia Ishata Sep 29, 2012 @ 4:27pm
Pretty good, but greenlight access requires you to have a gameplay video up and running for people to see.
pgann Sep 24, 2012 @ 7:46pm
hand-coded, not RPG Maker? Ambitious, I like it. Upvote!
Veez~¶ Sep 24, 2012 @ 8:41am
looks good!
[SKURK]Vonn64  [author] Sep 20, 2012 @ 4:14pm
@cdoublejj - It's 99% done. Wouldn't be up here otherwise; We're going to have it done this week. Just doing some balancing changes.
Nagisawa Sep 20, 2012 @ 3:51pm
Why not? It's free to play, and I like supporting indie games.
cdoublejj Sep 20, 2012 @ 3:49pm
seeing as it's some sort of student project it could see it being dumped before it's finnished.
