Hell, congrats!
Air  [author] Nov 9, 2015 @ 10:12am

The game is a little bit stalled at the moment. Mostly because of the lack of time that I'm ready to contribute to its development.

The comments here have clearly shown that the game needs a graphics overall. Done by an actual artist rather than a programmer. So that's one thing that needs to be done.

Since the submission was made I changed a few parts of the game. I.e. the creeps are going to navigate freely around the base now, they don't need a predefined path any more. But I also had to scratch most of the old content as a result of these changes.

Right now the project is in an "occasional" development. I can't set any dates. When I know it's on the runaway to shipment I will post an announcement and update the info here.

Originally, I didn't submit this game to be greenlit. But to get some feedback on my creation. Which I got plenty of. Now that there are more games like that on steam, it makes sense to ship it.

Thanks for showing interest.

Ballí Jul 23, 2013 @ 11:04am
hmmm, looks very entertaining, but the graphics cant match into a certain style.
(it doesnt look retro, it looks cheap)
Torghatten Jul 7, 2013 @ 8:07am
I liked the demo and its style is pretty sweet for me cuz its different than other TDs, this game has a lot of potential and i will definetly buy it but there is quite big amount of work to do there.
Itching_fingers Jun 18, 2013 @ 9:41am
Need better graphics and as usual td is based on game balanced
Darkus Canning Jun 7, 2013 @ 1:50am
Maybe it'll be diffrent than most Tower Defence games...
airart May 8, 2013 @ 4:22pm
Ignoring the fact that there's clearly no zombie mode (and in an ecconmy like this) everything needs to be chromed, with neon and colored LED lights, and dropped in marshmellows. It lacks personality, like Carrot Top the comedian. If this game smelled, i'd imagine it smelled like the moth balls my grandmother used protect all those clothes she'll never wear again. Other than that, interesting.
[AoK] Bossgalka Apr 4, 2013 @ 2:41am
I like tower defense alot, but these graphics are so minimal I can't see myself paying more than $1 for it. if it's any more than that, for this quality of game, I won't buy it. It will fall in that sad little place with Toki Tori going on sale for 50c during big sales.
Theme Park Games Mar 19, 2013 @ 8:13am
Erosinnin. No, they are doing hidden object games. :) There's actually not that many really good Tower Defense games out there. And there are many different ways they can be done. As an avid Tower Defense gamer, I'm always looking for good new options.
Erosinnin Mar 13, 2013 @ 6:48pm
wow another tower defence game is that all devs are doing these days ?
Theme Park Games Mar 13, 2013 @ 4:32pm
I played the demo and this game has a lot of potential. With the addition of better graphics and sound, I think it would be a killer Tower Defense game. Keep at it!
Ragnal Feb 22, 2013 @ 11:43am
tower defense = fun
Catscratch Jan 27, 2013 @ 3:12pm
Newgrounds flash game type of Tower Defence.
Nothing original.

Lost me at tower defense...

Is a flash game

I saw the graphics.
I sighed.
I downvoted.

Are you sure this isn't a game from Newgrounds?
Kana Oct 14, 2012 @ 1:30pm
This fits on a flash site, not as a commercial release. Look at Gemcraft as an outstanding hurdle what you need to jump over to pass a TD game into commercial categorization. This doesn't come near, sorry.
Taciter® Oct 12, 2012 @ 10:43am
Like the premise.... city building and tower defence! Needs some visual love but I could see myself getting quite addicted to a game like this. <thumbs up>
marbL- Oct 8, 2012 @ 7:13am
There's alot of these games already out there, I dont think this is worthy to come to Steam, sorry.
mechAngel Sep 28, 2012 @ 5:40pm
The textures make it hard to see what is going on, be careful also of using only slightly different shades of color for the enemy sprites, to a color blind person they would be invisible.
Growlzer Sep 28, 2012 @ 4:39pm
Im gonna be honest I cant really see much to be shown... How do I know this well, the only thing you mainly talk about in the game trailer of attacks... kinda sad man.

Hope you can make improvements. -Kook2 =)
Kertys Sep 25, 2012 @ 11:59pm
Personally, I think I would enjoy learning to play this game, at least for a short while. Mechanically, it looks like a solid, traditional tower defense game.

However, these days that's no longer enough. The TD genre is seriously played out and I don't think we need to see another entry on Steam that looks like something you can find in a Flash game.

Do I think this game should get released to the public? Yes. Do I think it's worth releasing on Steam for $10? Not unless we see some substantial innovation and other hooks that would generate more interest and exposure (art, story, etc.)
IDDQ Sep 21, 2012 @ 7:04pm
If you make a tower defense you need to make it Stand out of the crowd, Like PLants Vs Zombies, Garden Defense, or Orcs Must Die. And I don't see a single reason this game stands out from any Free to play flash game. Im very positive about the games here in Greenlight... And I normally upvote most of the projects if I see have any potentional ... Maybe Im too harsh.... But I don't see anything about this game that makes me think somebody will spend money in a overused genre that spawned LOTS of flash games that look the same or even better than this one . I think you need to rethink the concept of the game and make a more unique experience that make this game different from these flash tower defense free-games.
Bambi Sep 21, 2012 @ 6:17am
no more fucking tower defense the genre was worn out inb the first two months of war3.
Sefi Sep 21, 2012 @ 3:41am
hm.. i think not fit in steam sry
Ishan451 Sep 17, 2012 @ 6:26pm
Liking the concept and the gameplay, but the graphics turn me off. Sorry. Imho the whole game should get an Art overhaul. The UI looks really, really dated. Gives me that last century Internet vibe. You know when it was all big boxes and very, very basic. And the backgrounds aren't that good as well. That forrest map for example, that one is ugly (and so is the desert one). I suspect this is a one man production as it has the usual one man ailment. Good concept and ideas, but suffering from one person trying to do everything on their own.
FletchWazzle Sep 13, 2012 @ 3:06am
Tower Defense innovation addict, will have to try your demo.
Blade Nuclear Sep 10, 2012 @ 5:41pm
Nope....but i like the music
Dr_Rhythmus Sep 10, 2012 @ 6:42am
Kind of looks like Revenge of the titans but I would give it a try.
AceXprt Sep 10, 2012 @ 5:19am
nope... wouldnt pay for this..
Rageman94 Sep 9, 2012 @ 8:48pm
Ok its got the innovation but where is the graphic pick up. I mean why would I play this for a few great ideas when I can play Starcraft or even Monkey Bloons Defense (for free I might add)?
Air  [author] Sep 9, 2012 @ 4:27pm
Updated the game and wrote a few notes as a response to the feedback. You can read it here:
[xAD] A Passing Blip Sep 8, 2012 @ 4:44pm
OK, played the demo. There's a lot of good ideas in there, but they need a lot of tweaking. Mining seems useless compared to salvaging. Creeps need variation to make other weapons necessary - right now one gun is as good as another. The interface seems a little inconsistent - there's no pay-to-repair / depower menu for the main base which confused me a bit. I'd also prefer if turrets/towers actually did something when placed. Paying to research and construct an amp and then discovering I had to pay to get any effect out of it after it was built was discouraging.
[xAD] A Passing Blip Sep 8, 2012 @ 1:41pm
I'd comment on the demo, but it still hasn't loaded for me, so... :/
The ideas sound very good and far more entertaining than your basic TD.
My only requirement for graphics is that when you see something you can tell what it is - unfortunately you're not there yet. The "towers" are just random assemblages of lines and circles.
SheepWillPrevail Sep 8, 2012 @ 5:00am
Highly derivative. Actively hurting my eyes. Games in this stage of development should not be on Greenlight.
Steakncheese Sep 6, 2012 @ 9:20pm
It is amusing to play for a few minutes, but I feel I have no reason or drive to even play it more. Why unlock things in a game that hosts little point to play? I need a story to drive me, I need amazing art to drive me. I could not see this game being on Steam even if it were free. This is a good highschool project that you took a step further, that is all. It is a good Alpha idea to the real game you perhaps are planning on creating.

Morrison is not going to shell out 5 bucks for your game. He is not going to shell out 2.50 for your game when there are other games like Grid Defense to name a few. A very cheap and sadistically detailed game. Dungeon Defenders, with an entertaining story. Games with actual graphics and coding and widespread appeal.

I look forward to seeing the real game in two years.
Morrison's Ghost Sep 6, 2012 @ 1:41pm
I'll admit, after playing the current build, this game is pretty sweet. If the different tower aspects of the game are fleshed out well, I think it could easily hold its own on steam. You have the replayability aspects fleshed out well (varied difficulties, global upgrades, etc), which I believe is crucial for the success of a TD. It does need a graphical overhaul though.
Air  [author] Sep 6, 2012 @ 1:45am
2 Famif [SKUNK] Looks fun to play or actually is fun to play? You can just play the current build here:

2 xboxpants Thanks, I was thinking to leave the redesign of the game to an artist who knows his craft rather than trying to improve it myself, but thanks for the link, that was an interesting read.
Steakncheese Sep 6, 2012 @ 1:11am
heh, yea looks like Rampart but 70 times better. That is not saying much. You game looks ridiculously fun to play but I don't think it has a place on Steam.
xboxpants Sep 5, 2012 @ 6:29pm
Looks good! I suggest you actually simplify your tower sprites. They all look so detailed and totally different that it kind of makes everything look non-unified, like just a bunch of random stuff. They don't obviously convey what kind of structure they are, either. I suggest choosing a smaller color palette and working from there. . This is a fantastic pixel art tutorial, he talks about some of that palette stuff at the end. I recommend reading the whole thing, it's not that long and it's great info.
[NPX] Goqua Sep 5, 2012 @ 2:02pm
It's Rampart!
