Dukom Dec 26, 2013 @ 2:14pm
Most greenlit games are shitty platformers or puzzle games. But this game was surprisngly fun. Good job.
Tuskor Dec 18, 2013 @ 1:23pm
It looks like an interesting game, but i had no idea what I was doing. There was no tutorial.
Ray Dec 2, 2013 @ 5:12pm
This game is awesome. Help support the developer, as he is pushing out content and working as a one man army to bring an amazing game to you guys.
Cedric Agro Nov 25, 2013 @ 6:23am
This game is fantastic! I'm really enjoying it (currently playing the demo version). I managed to survive 8 days and 23h58m, haha. Congratulations and keep up the great work, mate! :trilogo:

@Daniel_c_fedor, Still the same, it just does not respond at all, takes a lot of time to connect to it and then it shows the "Server not found" error; Mozilla.

Anyways, thanks for the reply tho', i think i'll wait untill the Steam release to try it, if you guys add a Demo version.

Keep up the good work you and your team, this project has a lot of potential. Good luck, i'll stay tuned.

Daniel@BlueBottleGames  [author] Nov 8, 2013 @ 4:20pm
Thanks for the kind words, folks! I'm glad to hear that NEO Scavenger seems worth playing!

@Biltriss, I plan on finishing the game early next year, and launching then. However, I'm investigating Early Access right now. If that seems doable, it could be on Steam Early Access sooner.

@N0body_, are you seeing an error message at Or do you mean the site isn't responding at all? Is it still doing it now?

Also, with Desura, you don't need to install their client to access the game. There are DRM-free, stand-alone downloads of NEO Scavenger on their site, similar to my website.
JXCK_BXRCLXY169 Nov 8, 2013 @ 12:02pm
This game looks so f*ckin awesome cant wait
MrSkoll_ Nov 8, 2013 @ 10:30am
What i've seen so far about this game, is just awesome.. But i do have a problem.

I really would like to try the demo and check the game myself, but somehow i just cant acces the Bluebottlegames Page, nor the demo download page, so i cant try it out/buy, wich is pretty annoying.
Tried the DB Page aswell, but i do not want to install a 3rd Party app in my pc just to download a Demo. And for sure it isnt a Net problem, because i can acces any website i want.

Should check that out, because i really would like to buy if it fills out my expectations trying the demo...
Rika Nov 6, 2013 @ 9:49pm
K, this game is awesome. (I came from Reddit and read your thread concerned about steam early access)

Biltriss Oct 22, 2013 @ 8:04pm
Any info on when this game will launch on steam? I'd like to support but I'd much rather bur through steam.
afterthepostrock Oct 17, 2013 @ 10:54pm
Absolutly amazing game. Love post-apocalyptic sandbox games. Daniel, your game have a serious potential. Hope you will add more and more features to make gameplay deeper.
Jason Oct 15, 2013 @ 5:40pm
I want this!
Daniel@BlueBottleGames  [author] Oct 13, 2013 @ 11:23am
Thanks for the encouragement, guys!

Re: poetka, that's a great idea. I'm not sure if I'll have time for many more features, but this seems like a very useful one for players. I've made a note to myself!

@HeKTic, I don't have a specific date yet, but I'm aiming for early 2014.

@HunterGrey, thanks! I had a lot of fun designing the rules, and I hope to keep designing games for a long time to come. I actually was a tech artist and producer at BioWare before I went indie. Good guess!
Grey Oct 13, 2013 @ 6:28am
Heya Dan / Bluebottle games. Can't even describe how refreshing it is to see developer/s with such sound design principles. Respect & keep up the good work!

If I may be so bold, is your background Black Isle vintage, or modern Bioware?
Acetylsalicylic Acid Oct 10, 2013 @ 11:55pm
when is this game coming out I cant wait
poetka Oct 9, 2013 @ 4:35am
daniel_c_fedor: 1st Thank You for great game and just wanted to ask.

Are You planning adding something like compare window ? If eg. have right boot on my leg, scavenge and find another one - then i need to manualy mouse point to old one and new one and check which one is in better condition. Can be there something like small window where it shows equiped one and the new one ?

And if choose the new founded one, i can eg. right click on new item to swap them automatically ?

NOTE: If I found eg. T-Shirt, i need to recover first all jackets which i have over it and then i can see condition of equiped item for comparing...

Thank You and looking forward for new patch ^^
mukyuuuu Oct 8, 2013 @ 3:10pm
Awesome! Good luck with that, looking forward to the release.
Daniel@BlueBottleGames  [author] Oct 8, 2013 @ 2:47pm
Hey mukyuuuu!

I plan on maintaining NEO Scavenger after launch, such as fixing bugs, and perhaps small tweaks. However, I'll probably be considering a new technology/engine for NEO Scavenger 2 (or whichever game comes next), because it'll allow me to bypass some limits of Flash. And that means I'll probably be focusing most of my effort on getting that new game up and running.

That said, there's still a few more months of work yet to be done on NEO Scavenger, much of which involves new content. Story will be the lion's share of it, but there may be some new items, monsters, and other things in the mix!
mukyuuuu Oct 8, 2013 @ 2:16pm
Hello Daniel. Thanks for the awesome game! Just got the beta, ready to play the hell out of it :)

Any plans for post-release updates? Either in form of small item/monsters/features update or as full-fledged DLCs.
Daniel@BlueBottleGames  [author] Oct 8, 2013 @ 7:04am
Thanks for all the feedback and support, guys!

Re: Steam release, I'm aiming for January 2014 at the earliest. I forsee at least a few more months of content work, bug fixing, and polish.

Re: translations, this is something I'm open to, but it will depend on how well the English version sells (e.g. budget).

Re: save function, this is currently working in the beta, and will be in the full version as well.
Lucifer Oct 8, 2013 @ 2:15am
This is one seriously fantastic game. Love every pixel of it so far. Question though, after playing the demo over and over again for the past 6 months, i hope the full version will have a save function on it

Femme Fatale Sep 23, 2013 @ 12:12am
I purchaed this game almost a year ago was money well spent even in its incomplete form. The game plays well and is very challenging, cant wait to see what is added between now and release!

when is this game being released on steam
WITELF Sep 15, 2013 @ 2:33pm
Steam is my primary gaming service so I'll wait until available on here.
WITELF Sep 15, 2013 @ 2:31pm
Hey thanks for the quick reply. This game is very impressive.
GreasyMelon v2.1.4 Sep 15, 2013 @ 1:25pm
wow! amazing game! when is the steam release slated for? :D:
Daniel@BlueBottleGames  [author] Sep 15, 2013 @ 12:00pm
Thanks for the kind words and congratulations, everyone!

@muckguppy, the world definitely has areas that are more desolate and barren. Michigan is mostly overgrown and ruins, though I'd like to add something more toxic around the "Great Black Swamp" at some point. I'm not sure how much more combat development I'll be doing, as story/plot is still pretty short, and certain skills still need balancing. We'll see!

@class101, thanks for the add!

@HunterGrey, comparing NEO Scavenger to DF and The Road is quite the compliment, thanks!

@SouthwestSepuku, I'm trying to get the game finished by the end of 2013, and on sale via Steam after Christmas 2013. It's currently available as a paid beta at , if you're interested. Steam Early Access is something I'm considering, but it'll depend on how quickly I can integrate the necessary Steam stuff.
WITELF Sep 14, 2013 @ 8:20pm
any idea of release date or preorder?
Grey Sep 13, 2013 @ 7:02am
Incredible. AMAZING!

After a frantic struggle, in the pouring rain at dawn, I am knocked unconcious.

As I regain conciousness, I see the lone raider simply walking away. Behind him; my newly aquired sled, laden with everything I own.

I am helpless, broken and coughing up blood. Left to die in the mud, under the shadow of an abandoned office building.

Play this game! Support this dev! I haven't had this much fun since Dwarf Fortress!!

@muckguppy - Your reference to "The Road" is perfect. Exactly what I was thinking about when that bastard raider took my sled. Oh and targeted attacks FTW.

This game has been reviewed and added to the Procedurally generated games collection
ANGELUST Sep 4, 2013 @ 9:23pm
YEAH BOIIIII, Love this game. Blends the best of 4x and fallout and that book The Road. I'd like NPC companions, grittier npc dialogue encounters and generally more filth. I love the wasteland to look like a wasteland, I know it isn't a post nuclear game.. but the environs just look too clean. Like.. A section that is just dead trees and ashes, smog and fog overlay textures, stuff like that. It'd be nice if you could target certain parts of their body and break limbs, gouge eyes etc. More detailed damage descriptions. More brutality. Yes yes. Congrats on the GREEN LITE
Anikey Sep 2, 2013 @ 10:43am
Hooray! Congratulations!
