Nice! I hope the game has achievements as an incentive for people who have already played it.

Wow, you're still going strong; glad to see it! Definitely looking forward to giving the game another spin when 1.2 comes out!

thanks for all the nice comments! short update: the game's next version is currently in testing for bugs, but should be on steam soon (within a month or two).

This is the best Tower Defense game I've ever played, both for its unique mechanics and deep philosophical plot that keeps the player engaged up to the very end. At a certain point I found that I want to beat the mission ASAP just to see the way events turn after that. And the game is also bold enough to take a huge leap away from the traditional "build & watch" way of presenting a defense game and offering a player a much deeper interaction with the buildings and enemies, thus packing the game with intense action and decision-making. Love it! And will buy it immediately after it gets on Steam. Best of luck, devs!

At last! Congratullations!
Waiting for Saturated Dreamers too
RPGCreations  [Autor] 1. Mai um 13:29 Uhr
as an aside i'm still working on an update patch to this game (widescreen support, speed improvements, adding in the different fan translations to the languages mentioned in the game's description above, achievements, etc.) and i want to finish that before submitting to steam, just so it can have the best version of the game, so it still may be another few months before it's on steam. thanks for all the support!
RPGCreations  [Autor] 1. Mai um 13:25 Uhr
@C0untzer0 - after i finish saturated dreamers i'll set up a greenlight page for it too, most likely.

Finally! I bought it in the meantime but I'll re-buy it on day 1 annyway bexause I believe in supporting your work. Will you be bringing other projects to Steam?

thanks! but FYI, you can email me rather than re-buying it to get a new download link, you don't need to re-purchase it each time (the game's website mentions that somewhere, along with my email). part of the reason it'd be good to have it on steam is to avoid the expiring download link problem of fastspring/BMT-micro.

I admit it's really sad that this is still in Greenlight. It is one of the better tower defense games I've ever played. I've even purchased it 4 times in all, due to lost copies or the like (This is a claim to how good it is, not a complaint :P. I totally didn't mind throwing money at this each and every time.)

I definitely agree with it not being mobile, mobile and touch interfaces really stink. Griming up the screen and obscuring view of the playfield for very little if any actual advantage.

Here's hoping that the impending death of Greenlight will prevent games like this from being locked up in limbo.
RPGCreations  [Autor] 4. Apr. um 11:31 Uhr
(i do think it's much more faster-paced than most tower defense games, because you yourself take part in the shooting and use special charge attacks and so on, in contrast to games like defense grid where all you do is place towers.)
RPGCreations  [Autor] 4. Apr. um 11:29 Uhr
the game would not really work on mobile or tablet, mainly because it's so focused on the *mouse* as the means of control. a touch interface would entirely change the game and make it unrecognizable, because the whole point of the game is that you are a mouse cursor that shoots. there is no equivalent mechanism for touch screen controls; how would it even work, would it only shoot when your finger is on the screen?

secondly, the game is very fast-paced later on, perhaps you only played the first few levels and judged the speed on that? they are just intro/tutorial stuff so they're necessarily less hectic than what's to come (check out bormac's let's play videos for the later levels to see what i mean).
herc 4. Apr. um 7:40 Uhr
You should consider trying to port to android or ios, I think you would have much better luck, but the game is definitely unique, but its a little slow for my pace. Why i think a touchscreen on a mobile device would appeal to much larger audience.

Been playing the demo for ages, keep coming back to it. Finally bought the game today and i'm kinda shocked that this is STILL on greenlight. How can this not be up on Steam properly yet?

It's a real shame that this hasn't been Greenlit yet. I finally got around to playing it, and it's amazing. Now to try to unlock the secret levels...

I played this a while ago when it came out. The fact that it's still lingering in Greenlight hell is a crime.

maybe cause that game has ron jeremy! :p

Why the heck hasn't this been greenlit yet but goddamn BoneTown has
Dajugganot 18. Feb. um 11:10 Uhr
I don't usually play tower defense games, but this has a unique look. Plus it's indie, and what goes around comes around. I think it should be greenlit.
mikasa 12. Feb. um 16:56 Uhr
seems unique and fresh.

Great game. I played the demo years ago and it's stuck with me. Glad to see it on green light!

best of luck Mr. Eres! i bought it a long time ago, would be really happy to see it on steam.
UltimateFantasy 31. Jan. um 12:11 Uhr
Great work! This is a fascinating visual experience that flips your typical TD games onto their backs and feeds them electric rainbows. I want it. Upvote!

Yes, yes, yes,a thousand times yes.
Vanish 26. Jan. um 5:38 Uhr
Honestly one of the best stories in video games. The way it combines its story with its gameplay is perfect.
Kerma 25. Jan. um 16:57 Uhr
No joke- I think this is the best tower defense game I've ever played. I'd highly reccomend it, either at it's old full price at 10 dollars or it's new price at 1.75. The story has a bunch of interesting, but realistic characters and I love pulling it out and wiping my save every year or so. Great game, even if you don't like tower defenses that much I'd reccomend at least giving the demo a shot.
Jolow 4. Jan. um 12:08 Uhr
Most indie games never manage to hook me for very long. They often deploy very creative and original game mechanics, but they seldom truly engage the player - at least myself. It is a quick roll in the mud, then - uninstall -.
Immortal defense is the main exception.
It's fun to play, but more, playing it also gives you the impression of reading a very good book. The story is great. The storytelling is great. They make you WANT to know more, to know what's next, to know "what's this? what does it mean?". They make you want to play.
I can't wait for more from these guys.
Drakhyrr 2. Jan. um 18:18 Uhr
Just caught myself today thinking about the time I played this game. Very, very thought provoking. We need more games like this and, as mentioned, Spec Ops: The Line.

I bought the full game years ago. A truly amazing narrative, I would love to see it gather a larger audience on steam.

Brilliant game.
KingMob4313 3. Nov. 2013 um 12:12 Uhr
One of the best games I have ever played.
Muffins 2. Nov. 2013 um 20:32 Uhr
I compare this game to Spec Ops: The Line. It's a staggeringly brilliant work of narrative in video games. I've had two friends give up and quit, not because it was hard, unrewarding or bland, but because the game's message was so powerful and mentally taxing to continue.

I can't praise this game enough for being a masterwork of the medium.
DeadMarine 31. Okt. 2013 um 15:07 Uhr
I really like the writing.
spacepenguin 12. Sep. 2013 um 8:22 Uhr
Arguably better than Defense Grid, which is also one of my favorites.
nedvalson 11. Sep. 2013 um 17:53 Uhr
Cannot upvote enough. I bought this years ago, and it's the best tower defense game I've ever played. If any TD game deserves to be on Steam, it's this one.
Medium Mechanism 9. Sep. 2013 um 22:01 Uhr
Well, I already own this game. Originally got it as a free download from a give-away-of-the-day site. Lost the original copy, came back later and gladly put 40 towards the game's name-your-price mechanic. It took a fun set of TD Mechanic, twisted them to the shape of of pathspace, added some more, and then strung it together with a story that I'm quite saddened isn't available in book-format too. It has a difficulty system that ranges from fairly easy to so difficult that the amount of people who have beaten it on hardest difficulty can be counted on one hand. This is by far the most deserving TD to be on Steam. I must say I'm a little depressed that this game isn't on steam yet. I'm looking foward to the possiblity of a Immortal Defense 2 kickstarter and would gladly pay the same price I payed for the original. This world needs more depressing stories about debilitating isolation, dammit!

A Tower Defense game with a story worth publishing as a separate short novel if only the gameplay could be expressed on paper, because the gameplay itself is incorporated in the story. Gameplay is not separate from the plot, it is not aside, it is an essential part of it.
Meybe it is strange to say that about a TD game, but it was an unforgettable experience.
The best Tower Defence game I've ever played or even seen or heard of.
