Heh, I suppose that is a good enough reason. Looking forward to seeing the improvements, especially considering I already enjoyed the regular version a fair bit on Desura.

To put it bluntly, i don't think the regular edition is something whose quality deserves to be on steam. The enhanced edition is more than just a simple visual/mechanical upgrade and it would be unfortunate to have the game judged off its old content on launch. Progress has picked up recently so it will be released soon™.

I'm not sure I understand why the regular version can't be put up as is, and then updated to the enhanced version when that is done.

There's still a bunch of work to do on the enhanced edition (namely, only about half of the new levels are finished). I'm not entirely sure when it's going to be in a state where it can be released, unfortunately.

Difficult game without saves and without checkpoints (not really acceptable on PC, but I guess console newbies are used to playing the same level 15 times in a row). Maybe the only game where I have to play it on "Easy" to avoid pulling my own head off in frustration.

I have a few questions: 1. Will there be stealth takedowns, or are you supposed to just not get caught 2. Can you open/close doors 3. And finally, will there be lightswitches or traps to get guards off your trail. Just wondering and having a fun thinking of what this game will be like and thinking of questions to decide if I should buy it, because at the moment, it sure looks like a good game. Thanks! MickyD

RE: being seen on itself is a procedure that takes time depending on your visibility, you can go back in cover and have detection drop.

Thanks for the info- Playing the Demo briefly gave me the impression it was "instant" death.
(Coming from FPS type shooters primarily I guess it will take a while to get used to the top down/ toggling between overhead and FPS perspectives.)
