Wow, I just saw this and I am very happy and excited for you Epsi. I have followed your game from the early days of Steam and I enjoyed testing for you. I can't wait to get Melody's Escape early access version. n_n
Nakajima Atsushi 16 feb., 2014 @ 12:01am
I cannot wait for this week to pass and I can finally buy it!
Gwyn 15 feb., 2014 @ 1:29pm
I'll try not to go crazy hahaha :)
Loïc  [autor] 15 feb., 2014 @ 1:16pm
Hehe, just one more week and a half of patience :D

@Blanc'nOut: The game is far from rushed and has been extremely stable for months already, so no worries there!
Gwyn 15 feb., 2014 @ 12:41pm
where is the purchase button :D
i want preorder this.....
can't you add it?
BlancnOut 15 feb., 2014 @ 11:00am
As much as I want a release too, I hope you are't pressured to releasing it with bugs and glitches. Not being able to play the game is one thing, but not being able to play it because of bugs is another.
Loïc  [autor] 14 feb., 2014 @ 5:40am
Thanks, Melody! :)
Gwyn 14 feb., 2014 @ 5:11am
epsi i wish you a successful early release :)
melody's escape has the potential for that best indie/music game of the year.
Thank you for that beautiful game.
FrozenNoble 13 feb., 2014 @ 7:10pm
I love this idea and can't wait for it! Lots of respect goes out to the genius who thought of this!
minute-world 12 feb., 2014 @ 10:46pm
very promising game you got there. :)
Loïc  [autor] 12 feb., 2014 @ 3:25am
That is not planned, my focus and energy is dedicated towards providing the best single player experience possible.
Hero_withNoName 11 feb., 2014 @ 1:14am
i also agree with the multiplayer idea. just wondering if it is possible in the future no need to rush of course.
Vince 8 feb., 2014 @ 9:23pm
I agree with the multiplayer thing.
Gwyn 7 feb., 2014 @ 10:03pm
is it possible to add sometime a multiplayer? Splitscreen or Online.
a "Duell" with friends, and who get the most points has won. :P
i mean that works in Beat Hazard Ultra too
and why not in melody's escape?
just a question.
salty queen 7 feb., 2014 @ 10:42am
We i need buy it
[CCH] Roscoe 5 feb., 2014 @ 3:57am
As long as you have it all good we could all wait until the end of this month. Atleast this month is the shortest month so we don't have too long to wait.
Loïc  [autor] 5 feb., 2014 @ 3:43am
I'm aiming for the end of this month. I'm working non-stop and going as fast as I can, I'm just as impatient to finally release the game ;) Thanks for your patience!
Gwyn 5 feb., 2014 @ 1:26am

Nikola Tesla 30 ian., 2014 @ 3:07pm
I watched the first video just to hear the lyrics to the Tiny Japanese Girl song lol. Nice idea though and seems like it's implemented well.
Plads 29 ian., 2014 @ 5:57pm
I dont know what went through your head but the shear amount of creativity and possibilitys with this game are endless due to the amount of songs that exist
Loïc  [autor] 29 ian., 2014 @ 9:28am
As soon as possible. I'm kinda stuck due to administrative issues (unrelated to Steam), but it should be resolved pretty soon.
Gwyn 29 ian., 2014 @ 8:53am
when will it be released? an accurate date pls.
Dejmon13 (RUSSKNЙ) 27 ian., 2014 @ 9:34pm

I really wanna play this game ! Hope I'll be able try it soon.
UnseatingKDawg 16 ian., 2014 @ 8:42pm
Man, I can't wait to rock out to KISS with this game. Audiosurf is good, but to have a running game? That's just awesome!
Ruckus 16 ian., 2014 @ 5:40am
Very very true, the last thing you want is the bass making you go blind and end up hitting every wall infront of you lol.. Though, I agree, to be honest, if you just added the particle line to the background horizon I think it'd be perfect... Maybe you could even make the horizon line the same "style" as the particle effects you already have going on (I.e. How you have the matching color "splatter" going on each time you hit an orb or arrow), and a way to do that without pulling too much attention away is make the horizon line the same color as the background. That way your original idea of having the main display of color happening while you run but in the background you have the "EQ" pulsing line that matches the blue/green/orange backgrounds
Loïc  [autor] 16 ian., 2014 @ 3:03am
Thanks for your comment!
It's a funny coïncidence, I was actually thinking yesterday that making wobbling-moutain lines could be an option, and not very hard to implement.
However there is a constant struggle between making shiny things everywhere AND not distracting the player while he is playing. The balance between those two points isn't easy.

I'll probably work on more background visualization during the Early Access phase.
(As for the trails reacting to the music, I've already tried a few things, and it wasn't very good compared to the static one.)
Ruckus 15 ian., 2014 @ 8:50pm
Those were just a few suggestions from a die hard music game fan, I do believe this would be possible with how detailed your attention is on the notes and syncing the song and the interactive gameplay together. I apologize for the massive comments lol, I love games that allow me to experience my music in new ways, and I'd love to see this top the Music interactive charts. Kudos, I can't wait cause I will be getting this. <3
Ruckus 15 ian., 2014 @ 8:50pm
With that idea you could also do something along the lines of a particle explosion for the orbs you have to hit and/or the jumps/kicks/slides that Melody does (could have the particles radiate from where she starts the action and then where it ends, i.e when she jumps and then when she lands) and have these radiating particles brighten with the midranges/melody (such as the clap snare in PTY vid). If you were to add the bass attention to the trailing tail of her slides aswell as the particle effect with the physical actions then it'd probably be alright to add in a bigger density pr effect to the orbs to "pick up the slack" so to speak.
Ruckus 15 ian., 2014 @ 8:49pm
Me personally, just from the videos you have here, a good idea for some more visual interaction is I've noticed you have random "horizon" background pictures that change with the tempo/beat of the song it'd be sweet to have like a particle outline there, that shatters and jolts to the beat. For example the Pass Through You video would've been craaaazzzzy if the mountain tops and tree lines were wobbling to the bass, also when Melody goes into a slide, the trailing colors would be epic if they wobbled to the bass aswell and had a bit of particle effect.
