Thanks Bamboy, things may progress pretty soon, but we can't promise when it'll happen. It was greenlit in quite possibly the worst moment for us, as none of us had any time to work on it, but soon, we may have :)

Please don't give up. This project has a lot of potential. Especially because of the community levels. It is very clear that a lot of work has gone into this game so far. It would be a real shame for it to go to waste.

Hey! Sorry for the lack of news. The reason it's not on steam is because we're both currently very tied up in other things. we *may* go back to Flowstorm at some point, but it's a pretty large may. After the Kickstarter failed, we lost the motivation to continue, and we had to start freelancing to keep paying the bills. But now that it's greenlit, we may pick it up again, but it's probably months until then

I do hope that a bump in interest from the greenlight comes your way and that something can be worked out. This game was a surprise to me and a hell of a lot of fun.

Although I haven't known this game for any longer that 10 minutes, it looks amazing. Would've bought this game in a heartbeat. I'm extremely sad that it is dead, and I really hope that support rolls back for this game and continues developing. I bid good luck to the devlopers in the future.

@Zeblote: Sadly, it did. :( Lack of support, time, a failed Kickstarter, among other things pointed towards that it simply isn't worth working on it. We had some really nice players, a neat little community, but in the end, even those who spent 40+ hours on the game, eventually left, probably due to the small playerbase. We've never actually made an announcement about this, because when we stopped working on it, the community was already pretty much gone as it was. So even after about four months, you are one of the few who has even taken a second look at it.

Lighting and track color sound like features that are a must in adding variety to the various tracks, hopefully you'd add that if not in release version than in update *cough*or freaking DLC*cough*.

@Tleno: Yes! At least two environments are planned so far. Might even have settings for lighting and track color, depending on how much time we'll have to work on the game :)

This looks attentionworthy and overall intresting...

After checking the description and video I've got just one question: Will there be different tileset/level styles? I mean, even if you greatly expand the variation of props, wouldn't it benefit to try creating different color pallette and atmpshere levels?

nice, like linerider rocket mode. but i see one problem, the hitbox is not so clear for the player so just one degree could mean death if you cant estimate it.

I'm a very infrequent multi player-player so that's why I asked. I always look for the single-player experience first and foremost. A game like this could easily have some of the single stuff you explained - time permitting as you say, espeically for example, 60 missions perhaps, 20 of each style of racing and you get a gold medal or something if you achieve it. I'd pay for that kind of experience. I'll be checking back don't worry ;)

@theoneumann: We're working hard on finding the means to work on the project full time - currently we're doing this project in our spare time (which is way too little).

The general idea is to have a solid multiplayer experience where you either play in a team or 1v1, as well as singleplayer race (sometimes with targets) with scoreboards. But we also want to create a singleplayer campaign to show you more of the world, with a greater focus on immersion and unique challenges... this part depends largely on how much time we will have to work on it.

We'll have a big update coming on April 2nd, so check back in after that or join our Steam group, IRC channel or Facebook page for a notice when it happens! :)

@Samurai Age: Thanks for the upvote! The Acceleration timer is about completing the level as quickly as possible, without releasing the acceleration key. CW and CCW is about completing a level as quickly as possible, by only turning in one direction throughout your entire run. It's very tricky at first! Be sure to learn regular racing first :) Also, if you want to, feel free to join us in the irc channel http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=flowstorm&uio=MTE9MTk117, where you can chat with other players, as well as stay updated for when the next update arrives, which should be in about a week and a half!
