Hello again Danny! Been using Tundra Defense and loving it, as always ; ) I did have a bit of a personalised request though, as I tried but I can't figure out how to do it!

I like to give my guards my own choice of clothing, but everything weaker than leather armour won't work, meaning they'll not equip it if it's weaker. Is there any chance you could do a minor edit, upload it somewhere so I could download it, by any chance..? I'd really appreciate it!

If yessss, I'd love the weakest clothing (or no clothes!) in the game, this goes for boots etc too, and weapons. This way I can totally choose it all myself. Wizards optional ; ) This is for normal/legendary skyrim, not the new edition. I'd really, really appreciate it.

Please note that Tundra Defense will NOT work with Skyrim Special Edition until SKSE releases a new 64 bit version. Once that is released, I will update the mod to work with Skyrim Special Edition (and hopefully that should help with crashes on heavily modded games)

I don't have /too/ many I think, but alright, good to know! Thank you very much, man. You're the best. : ) Have you modded other things too, both in Skyrim or in Fallout 4 perhaps? Or in other games? And what do you think of 'Tundra Defense Land', is it a mod you'd recommend?

@Militus Immortalis - Running with the least amount of other mods will help keep script pool resources available. Aside from that, it comes down to objects placed. Minimize the number of objects placed and you should have a pretty stable game.

That's what I meant, Danny. : ) As I said, I've always loved TD. So as long as I only use the guard building (well, up to getting it!) and an occasional stationary guard, it won't bloat and mess with the save? : ) And if I do plan to use TD to the fullest, any advice on how to not get it out of wacky control? :D I usually go outside of the borders (only for the stationary guards really) so not using advanced mode isn't an option, haha. Any advice/hints are welcome, you're a bit of my Skyrim hero. ;)

i have a glitch with the scavenger box when i want to place it and i come combat and i put it away and than when i want to placeit again its just glitching

@Militus Immortalis - To be clear, Tundra Defense does not corrupt Skyrim saves. The act of placing objects not originally placed within the game's files adds bloat to the save because the save file is holding the information regarding that object (whereas if it were in the core game file, the save file doesn't hold that info). A save file that is too bloated will crash the game. Thus, releasing a submod that only has stationary guards does not solve anything. Because there are no navmeshes (and we can't do navmeshes for the reasons listed in the FAQ) the stationary guards do not know there are meshes around and will need to be reset regularly. But they should still work and you can give them whatever gear you want.

I would love it if you could release a smaller, submod that allows you to play stationary guards and give them any outfit you like. As of right now it seems Tundra Defense will slowly corrupt Skyrim's saves due to how old it is. Is this too much to ask for? If so, I'm sorry. I've always loved the mod, and my hats off to you.

@Danny Also, some weirdo said FO4 ripped off modders, although this mod was released 3 years before FO4 was released, and some base building mods were released before FO4 was released

@Happiness - Not given up, but finished. Anything else to add (i.e. attack paths for raiders) isn't something I originally envisioned or it is limited by the engine. Larger building areas run the risk of corrupting the save file (which is why I added advanced mode for those riskier players). The janky rotation is a limit of the script engine's performance. And the engine doesn't allow me to touch pathfinding so I cannot ensure units properly path from target to target. I enjoyed developing this, but this is the most amount of features I can pack (bug free to the best of the engine's ability) without crossing the line into crash-city.

Y'know..I've loved this mod since it was last updated, other people have made things like it, E.G Create your own kingdom.. but for some reason I love this the most.. and just wish it was.. idk.. better. lol More specifically, I'd love a larger building area without having to go into advanced mode. OH or better yet, be able to set up attack paths for raiders. E.G that way they'd be forced to spawn at point A. and follow a specific path, they'd have to hit target 1, then 2, then 3, etc.

The mod maker may have given up on this, but seriously.. Love this mod, even to this day.

for the people having trouble with the mod: you crouch then interact with building to destroy it - toxo64 u should go in console then type "help plans" then spawn plans chest - boyd_dane u construct the water well in food to start tundra defense

can u make the movement and the rotation of a structure smoother, because it looks like the structures are lagging(althrough i dont have skse, ive been watching videos and the movement of a structure looks kinda strange)

you should find a plan for a Well as a food item in your inventory, find where you want the center of your outpost to be and place your Well.

@Dariken this was around well before FO4, infact if you look it up FO4's settlement system is based off this mod as well as the wasteland survivl mods for FO3 and Newvegas... so yeah FO4 kinda ripped off moders.

great mod but just a few things that could improve the mod: when you put the borders down it should flatten the ground inside it the buildings should not be able to phase through the ground (manly cause the big estate) you should be able to send raids to area in the map like dragon homes and bandit houses or animale dens and stuff and equip the armor and weapons of your men the way you want these are just my thoughts

Is it possible to toggle patrol markers so they are invisible yet still active? They are getting in the way of things but are necessary in order to keep a functioning defense.
