Yes, the clock starts when you enter the second door... when you enter the chamber itself.

What is the entry chamber? those two door before entering in the rooms, where there's a big white placard with element signs? I started when I passed the elevators and those two doors.

When did you start the clock? The start would be the moment you enter the chamber until the doors close behind you when you finish. Don't count the evelators

I've finish your alternative way in this map (my best was about 80 seconds), Those stairs are quite quick!

I made a video awhile back, I'll post it when I get a chance.

I went back in and practised a lttle. I got down to about 85 seconds. Not bad I think. I found the Easter egg too. A lot of almost new junk at my yard sale.

I didn't see that yet. There is timed door which I didn't try.
Andi  [author] Jan 16 @ 1:44pm
BTW, did you figure out how to finish in 70 seconds?
Andi  [author] Jan 16 @ 1:36pm
This was my 5th over all map. It gets better as it goes.

Very good designs! It's fairly easy too! (Some schematics shows where is your cube).

You're right, it isn't obvious at all. Whern you exit the first room and fall down the shaft to press the button to open the door for the next room, have you noticed that the timer is on for an abnormally long amount of time to simply walk through that door?
stormsend May 25, 2013 @ 9:16am
I'll have to study this a little more cause the trick is not obvious to me. I thought I was doing good to get to the end. I'll go back in and look around some. Who knows. Some of mine

Cool. thanks for the reply, I'm going to try it a few more times :)
Andi  [author] Feb 13, 2013 @ 9:01am
70 can be done but there is a "trick" to it. I can post a video on how it can be done.

@HAVOC Timing starts as soon as you enter the chamber and the second you walk through the exit door. BTW, I'll be happy to try your maps

Well..I got 88 seconds door to elevator..are you stopping your timer when you get in the elevator or when you walk through the exit?
HAVOC Feb 12, 2013 @ 10:53pm
Very cool, I like the way you have it put together.
I'll be trying out more of your maps for sure, but first I want to try to hit 70 sec or less >:)!
I found the Companion Cube :)

Liked it. Nice to see some classic Portal 1 techniques used. 70 seconds? Dont see how :S
Andi  [author] Jan 11, 2013 @ 8:51am
Thanks.

I don't know about a "dumbass skip" I thought it was clever but perhaps I'm wrong and it is a "dumbass skip". I did say this chamber has two distinct solutions.
tanger2b Aug 18, 2012 @ 6:34pm
unless you have some dumbass skip, it's impossible to do under one minute
Donderbus Aug 18, 2012 @ 3:38am
nice, not so much thinking but it's pretty fun. Did not like the pilars that much but i think others do like it. :)

Maybe you can try my level as wel:
