A nice idea ;)
madscientist1 Dec 28, 2013 @ 2:10am
The 25% resistance to vampire attacks message is not arperring on the helmets that should have it, and ignores 50% of armour message is not arperring on the enhanced crossbows.
madscientist1 Dec 15, 2013 @ 7:37am
Whats the console command for the hood?
CannonBallCurry Dec 12, 2013 @ 3:24pm
lol I agree with sddvox... ever get sick and tired of getting the sun's effect on you even when none of your skin sees the light, or sometimes just leaving a building at night... makes no sense lol
sddvox Nov 27, 2013 @ 10:34am
Update the mod so that the hood blocks off the sun's effect on you
ARC-Trooper Jul 11, 2013 @ 9:36am
can you make this armor craftable in forges and unenchanted when you craft it ?
dc040583 Jul 6, 2013 @ 7:13am
Oh yeah, and I'd like to combine vampiric drain resist with fortify destruction, which is my usual for helmets. lol
dc040583 Jul 6, 2013 @ 7:12am
Did you make the pre-enchanted Dawnguard Helmet disenchantable? I'll find out directly in a minute, but If not, would you consider it? It'd be really nice to disenchant the enchanted version and apply an improved version to something else, such as the non-enchanted one. Vampiric Drain is always a pain the neck... pun not intended but certainly worth keeping... as shock, frost and fire resist don't work on it, requiring me to use up ANOTHER enchantment slot for resist magic just to hold it back. This, of course, plays hob with my healing spells too!

would the hoods and circlet mod work with the vampire hood?
Scroll Thief Jan 1, 2013 @ 5:01pm
The armor match's the Vamp armor in the CK, also the AF. But in game is were it gets kind-of funky... Tried to figure it out, but... Nothing... It might be on my end, maybe...
Squidgy  [author] Jan 1, 2013 @ 12:20am
If the CK says they're where they should be, then... well, they should be there.

Compare the Vamp armor stats to other light armors, then the vamp hood to other light helmets and see what set its closest to. If it still seems overpowered, I'm not sure why... I will double-check everything later though.
Scroll Thief Dec 31, 2012 @ 11:17pm
One question... After playing this mod for a bit, I went to buy the hood and it seemed OP. I checked the CK and it's stats were where they should be. I think 18 armor rating or something, but in game the hood is much higher than the Vamp boots and gauntlets. Same with the A F Crown... Dunno, awesome Mod though, just wish I could them balanced. :D
apocalypseSampler Dec 18, 2012 @ 1:49pm
Loving this mod :D
Doruvega Dec 5, 2012 @ 1:09pm
ok i got a full set now of vampire gear just wasnt sure about that .. thanks
Squidgy  [author] Dec 1, 2012 @ 8:24pm
@Doruvega: They are not craftable, as I did not feel that was how Bethesda intended they be obtained in the vanilla game. However, they are not only purchaseable, but they are also drops that may appear on enemies of each faction (for instance, you will find the Vampire Hood on vampires).
Doruvega Dec 1, 2012 @ 2:30pm
are and of these craftable or just obtainable threw purchace?
Xiianil Nov 30, 2012 @ 4:45pm
Cool.
Squidgy  [author] Nov 27, 2012 @ 8:13pm
Sorry it took so long. This past month I haven't been doing much of anything with Skyrim, I almost totally forgot about my mods.
murkythoughts Nov 27, 2012 @ 8:08pm
That bug is indeed fixed. Thanks! :)
Squidgy  [author] Nov 27, 2012 @ 7:47pm
Updated to fix that bug, murkythoughts.
Squidgy  [author] Oct 26, 2012 @ 9:28am
Thanks murkythoughts. I'll look into that next chance I get - I know I marked it as part of the Ancient Falmer set, but it could be marked as jewelry or something.
murkythoughts Oct 25, 2012 @ 8:17pm
Great mod, and I have only one complaint: the Ancient Falmer Crown isn't registering as an actual piece of armor (for me, at least). It has an armor rating, but I never get any bonuses for wearing the full set of Ancient Falmer Armor, so that's what leads me to believe that it's still marked as clothing -- there are some circlets that have an armor rating, so it might be in the same category?
Squidgy  [author] Oct 16, 2012 @ 6:15pm
What quest is it? At least, at the time of Dawnguard's release, I am certain it was NOT obtainable, nor were the unenchanted pieces. I spent a good amount of time using the Creation Kit to actually look at the instances of these items existence before I made the mod, and a good amount of time playing the DLC, so yes, I did do my research.
Renelk Oct 16, 2012 @ 2:12pm
Also there were dawnguard pieces that were unenchanted. I spent a good amount of time playing this content after it was release. If you didn't run into it you didn't try hard enough.
Renelk Oct 16, 2012 @ 2:08pm
Yes it was. It was a side quest to collect pieces for it. I did it. and falmer are snow elves. Though most know the falmer as those blind corrupt creatures. I forgot the snow elves name so I refered to him as a falmer. Try doing your research before you create something like that.
Squidgy  [author] Oct 16, 2012 @ 1:51pm
Yes, it did have a helmet. No, it was not obtainable without the console. The rest of the ancient stuff isn't even obtainable from Falmer, sooo...

The heavy and light helms I added are UNENCHANTED. This is the only difference. The old ones gave a "set bonus" enchantment that made them impossible to enchant.
Renelk Oct 15, 2012 @ 9:41pm
The ancient falmer set did have a helmet. The Ancient Falmer Crown. And it was available in the game I had it you just didn't get it from the falmer like the rest of the set. The heavy helms and light helms for the dawnguard were also available already. Purchasable from Gunmar and lootable from dawnguard soilders.
NICK ALTMAN Sep 20, 2012 @ 2:33pm
BTW did you upgrade Dawguard War Axe? I think it has better stats now? Any other weapons upgraded too?
NICK ALTMAN Sep 20, 2012 @ 5:13am
Is there a vampire hood and a royal vampir hood? I got the vampire hood and it looks very nice. Does Vampire royal armor with vampire boots, gloves and hood make a matching set? Or only normal vampire armor?
Couvs Aug 25, 2012 @ 9:06am
great mod, I just am not sure where to find the armoured vampire gloves & hood. I could've sworn I'd come across an unenchanted version of the royal armour too, but I didn't grab it right away and can't remember where it was lol.
Menarra (DagothAgahnim) Aug 15, 2012 @ 6:14pm
thank you, I loved the Ancient Falmer set but hated not having a helmet, i just used a Stalhrim helmet for it (from a mod)
texashokies Aug 14, 2012 @ 5:33am
there is a dawngayrd helmet if i take the description as there isnt one cause there are 2 helmets
van-guleviz Aug 14, 2012 @ 4:20am
...
Oshinobu Aug 13, 2012 @ 10:23am
actually, the royal vampire hood is obtainable. just bring any vampire with the royal armor out during the day and trade them. so far there is only one tho. but you can trade over and over and get unlimited hoods. which will also let you have unlimited cash. i guess its a glitch. but if you need money just do that.
Battle Badger Aug 13, 2012 @ 5:04am
Could anyone who has some time please take a quick read through my new idea for a mod? Please comment and tell me what you think I should add to it. :) http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/discussion/882957083784871466/?appid=72850 Sorry about the advertisement by the way!
Brotown Aug 13, 2012 @ 12:43am
Ansenjoeri....that...that cant even be a result of barely knowing english. I can understand if it isnt your first language....but if you're legitimately trying to type like an a**hole, knock it off. It's obnoxious as hell
Squidgy  [author] Aug 12, 2012 @ 9:27am
That's very odd, because I couldn't enchant them, and they have the MagicDisallowEnchanting keyword attached. Huh.
Your Worst Enemy Aug 12, 2012 @ 9:25am
For some reason I can already enchant and upgrade the Helmet and shield despite the existing enchantments. I only have 53 Enchanting skill.
Khronus Aug 12, 2012 @ 3:27am
Seems cool, subscribing as we speak, good looking armors, but the stats could be better when reaching higher levels, i'll do that one myself :) Cheers mate
Shingeki no Mardu Aug 12, 2012 @ 1:52am
@ansenjoeri WTF?! I can understand that not everybody is a decent typer, or that nt everybody speaks English. But seriously What the fuck is wrong with you?!
J Van Helsing Aug 12, 2012 @ 12:42am
um i sory but i finde schield of the dongard aanyway sowe i ges day updadit skyrim sowe your mod seems cind of wurdles nauw and on my ader charter i faund a vampire hood 2 sowe i tink your mod adds nofing
CharlieCluster7 Aug 10, 2012 @ 11:12pm
where is the light armor shield of Dawnguard??
Elihan Aug 10, 2012 @ 1:37pm
Nice one can you make all this armors whole set craftable when appropriate quests are done ?
bpunsky Aug 9, 2012 @ 7:52pm
You are a hero. All you've done is finish what Bethesda, ever true to their nature, neglected to. No more, no less.
Ryowyn Aug 9, 2012 @ 9:38am
Wonderful, I was expecting it, but better safe than sorry :D
Squidgy  [author] Aug 9, 2012 @ 8:18am
@Ryowyn: Yes, the hood can be looted and bought along with the other pieces of the cloth set. And yes, vampires will show up without the hood as well. Not all will have hoods and gloves.
Hyperbole Shotgun Aug 9, 2012 @ 5:13am
Thanks for this! I was so annoyed that I couldn't get matching set bonuses for my Vampire and Falmer armour! :)
Ryowyn Aug 9, 2012 @ 12:05am
Just one question, since you didn't mention this, I suppose the vampire hood can be looted and bought as well? And as a follow-up question, will there still be vampires without hood?
Ryowyn Aug 9, 2012 @ 12:03am
Very nice! Really, this mod is not upsetting ANY balance, it doesn't upset the lore, it doesn't even mess up the "craftable items list"... seriously, THIS is how you make a proper mod. The highest of fives to you (if this works, no time to test right now ;P)
