Do you have to have nexus to use this mod because, i cant find the armor?
skaldtorvaldr Jan 11 @ 6:48am
Is there a version that doesn't cover the mail with a jerkin or surcoat? I like the look of mail.
Ketsuki Jan 5 @ 11:38am
Looks lovely. Does anyone know if this works with the digitgrade Khajiit and raptor-like Argonian foot mod?
Snake Nov 20, 2014 @ 7:35pm
They look great! Could you please add a dark coloured one? Like a dark grey or blackish one?
tEH Po0peR oF sCRuBz Jun 6, 2014 @ 5:06pm
finally chainmail that not only protects, but looks good on a bard. thank you so much.
cowboy0776 Apr 27, 2014 @ 6:58pm
I love this mod! It's one of my two favorite armor mods. I also agree with that there should be both Stormcloak & Imperial versions as well.
biggestmexican Jan 14, 2014 @ 12:44am
I would add to what Heerodin said & propose a separate Stormcloaks & Imperial mod based on your designs.
I would also propose you lower the smithing requirement to Steel, altho it's easy enough for me to type player.addperk cb414 or help chainmail.
Thanks again.
Jan 12, 2014 @ 9:38am
Awesome mod!!!! Finally something that looks like it would protect you and belongs on a travelling warrior
biggestmexican Jan 10, 2014 @ 11:17pm
I had my doubts & took a chance & I freaking love it. Well done, sir!
Xx_SAOG_xX Dec 4, 2013 @ 3:33pm
where do i find it i dont have it if theres a place where i get it?
Rainbow Dash Dec 2, 2013 @ 3:55pm
Compatibile with SkyRe ?
Evan, cshazlett Nov 21, 2013 @ 6:53pm
Yes, the high level armor probably couldnt stand a punch from a drunken Heimskr :P
No-one...\o/ Oct 13, 2013 @ 5:26am
Oh man I had exactly the same thoughts, thanks so much for this mod! Exactly what I was looking for.
HK-78641 Sep 29, 2013 @ 7:08pm
This is great! This works perfectly with my lightly armored traditional duelist character (1 longsword only, no shield).) Many thanks and good job (how does that feel flung on your face?)
thomasvale4 Aug 21, 2013 @ 2:44pm
hey guys if anyone decides to read this would like to know if it is possible (which i dout) to use the light armor perk "matching set" with this armor.

also to some people who asked "light or heavy armor" its light and for being in the advanced section of smithing i would say it is not overpowered also thank you for the mod it is fantastic!
Heerodin Aug 5, 2013 @ 7:25pm
Very cool, I'd love to see this added to some of the soldiers of the stormcloaks or the imperials. Very very cool
Volcan Jun 29, 2013 @ 5:03am
Is this a light or heavy armour?
fishbutt Apr 27, 2013 @ 10:39am
is this over powered?
Michael Malachi Apr 14, 2013 @ 9:00am
Can you try and make a Tunic or Chainmail Hauberk that has armor on it
prinzeugen Jan 20, 2013 @ 12:55pm
So cool - but could you create hoods and/or helmets (hoods would be cooler) that goe with your chainmail hauberks? All the other hoods somwhow don't fit! Would be great...
Seal of Approval Jan 1, 2013 @ 1:33am
can you add like a mail coif
Cross_Dragon00 Dec 17, 2012 @ 2:39pm
can you add a heavy versions?
dukethepcdr Nov 12, 2012 @ 4:46pm
Very nice! I've never understood why so many armors in the game leave you almost as naked and exposed as Conan the Barbarian anyway.
Jaeger BomBASTIC Oct 18, 2012 @ 5:29pm
This mod is great but I don't like that all of them require advanced smithing... the weaker ones should be in iron while the medium level ones should be steel as the stronger ones be advanced. Maybe even add a mod that can duplicate the clothing boots and gloves to be light armor as if they were reinforced for some protection.
RichBoy1337 Oct 17, 2012 @ 9:51am
Can u please make a separate chanmail shirt that u can wear under ur armor because i hate it when armors are sleeveless ok thx. :)
kole.koranda Sep 29, 2012 @ 7:43pm
Thank god for you man, I hate the huge ass bulky vanilla armors, they're too big for my taste, and very un-realistic for the most part.
This armor is exactly what I've been looking for.
oXoXGamer_GurlXoXo Sep 23, 2012 @ 2:09pm
Amazing mod the hauberks look both functional and fashionable! I would like though for there to be a heavy-armor version of this
Azuresun Sep 1, 2012 @ 1:51pm
Definitely one of the best lore-friendly armor mods out there that does not overpower the game or make you look like a villain from a comic strip. I have to agree with Mr Wendal - the necklines should be reduced to look more functional. It looks great with the normal hooded cloaks that cover it up.
merkU Aug 27, 2012 @ 10:05pm
Can you add UNP body support for females, at least as an optionial file on the nexus at some point please. Great armor thanks !
Frostie Aug 27, 2012 @ 4:12pm
I remember last summer Bethesda said they were drawing references from real Viking and Nordic style weapons and armors for their game. Boy was I disappointed. Thank you for helping to fix the stupid.
ojibwewind Aug 23, 2012 @ 3:55pm
One of THE very best ( i.e. realistic) armour mods in the game! Thank you for your hard work and especially for making something that is both aestetically attractive as well as not a World of WTF wannabe!
Mr Wendal Aug 13, 2012 @ 7:12pm
I like it, but the female neck screams STAB ME HERE! Any chance you could cover up a bit?
Faustian Device Aug 13, 2012 @ 7:09pm
@saurkraut: i agree mate... the makers had a few blind moments when they were coming up with the armor
acarroll15 Aug 13, 2012 @ 12:05pm
this looks llike a great mod but it would be great if you also changed the original textures
coffee.abernethy Aug 12, 2012 @ 10:30am
I just wish I could improve the fit beyond (flawless). Other than that, I like it.
Rave police Aug 12, 2012 @ 8:50am
good work man, just a suggestion, can you maybe add some plate in with the mail, not alot just like a pauldron or banded plate segments, not so much as to ruin the armour but enough to beef it a lil,but your spot on with the concept and practical look of the armours :D well done
bokky1986 Aug 12, 2012 @ 4:12am
Good work. Why don't you try making suitable coifs? It would look really nice.
XamaX Aug 12, 2012 @ 12:03am
Love the concept and look of this mod, one suggestion, the mail hauberks with surcoats (bearing the insignias) maybe you could spawn those on the different hold thanes? Not sure how one would do that, but it would please me to no end and look fantastic (: food for thought.
Sviaveldi Aug 11, 2012 @ 10:24pm
This mod appeals to me. Although then again not much in Skyrim makes sense from a practical view point. Most of the weaponry and armory looks cerimonial, and not really for fighting. Bah what ever 'magic did it'. :D
Dude.Man.Guy Aug 11, 2012 @ 10:00pm
Hey man sweet mod, keep up the good work.
MaskedNozza Aug 11, 2012 @ 7:57pm
Seriously, anyone who actually has a genuine insult to throw at you because of the mod wouldn't bother, as they wouldn't download the mod in the first place. Anyone who does download it and then insults your work is either an idiot for downloading something that doesn't suit their play style, a noob because they don't understand something and then blames others for it, or they're simply a jerk who insults people because they can. (No offence to idiots, noobs and jerks).

My opinion is that this mod is a work of art, and well-thought-out. However, people who like this mod may also like the Vagabond Armor mod.
Sarogus Aug 11, 2012 @ 7:13pm
These look incredible. Awesome work man keep it up!!
BaldBaboon [ARRSE] Aug 11, 2012 @ 7:19am
Nice work, that adds some practical real life armour that I would Imagine an adventurer would use as their day in/day out armour.

Could I tempt you to have a look at doing some additional armours in the same line....something like scale armour or splint/banded armour ?
Malvolio the Exotic lump  [author] Aug 10, 2012 @ 7:22pm
I'm glad to see you like it, however I have no plans for further organization. I hate the way almost all the vannilla armour sets are set up in exactly the same way, meaning you know exactly what kind of weapons and armour you can find made from each material. It's very unrealistic, makes it seem like theres less gear than there actually is, and takes a lot of the element of suprise out of finding loot.
Jaeger BomBASTIC Aug 10, 2012 @ 7:08pm
This is a wonderful mod but, I wish the pants were also chainmail and had matching headgear. Also @tehxen I think it needs to be organized a little better, some of them should be in steel, couple should be in Imperial and a few of them should be in iron. Also I don't think they can be improved twice as much either. Still it is a great mod and I love using it overlooking the small issues ^^.
Skullgrim69 Aug 10, 2012 @ 1:25pm
your welcome, and its true. i just dont understand why the makers of this game dident do something like this from the begining; its only historicly correct...keep up the good work, over and out, CRT
Malvolio the Exotic lump  [author] Aug 10, 2012 @ 1:18pm
Thanks a lot, Thats very flattering, and it's great hearing people enjoy your work.
Skullgrim69 Aug 10, 2012 @ 12:58pm
after instaling, and reinstaling a few times, it appears to be working. some of your armors, are begining to appear in shops & smiths. i still cant craft; But perhaps its due to the fact i'm playing a new char, and skill at smithing isnt that good yet. i can buy and upgrade only so far. tehxen, this mod is outstanding. fits, so perfectly into a medevil game setting-you should work for the company...and the idea of adding heavy parts to create a hvy.armor fits in just as well; just like earths true history. sorry so long winded, i just realy like what you have done...Curt.
Joker Aug 9, 2012 @ 6:51pm
thats not ironic its just odd
Malvolio the Exotic lump  [author] Aug 9, 2012 @ 6:39pm

That really depends on what leveled lists they edit, but they quite possibly will; as far as I know however, the conflict will only go as far the mod thats loaded first will not show up in that list. You can of course use wrye bash to merge the leveled lists, and they should work fine.
