So, I did that, and now I can grow them in a theme, but the lots are barren of the random props like when I plop them from your file. I opened back up the asset editor (which takes a long time to load), and loaded up one of your Low Res buildings again, but I saw no way to place props on the lot or tell it to randomize props. Is there an easy way to do that? Or is it more advanced and I should seek out a while asset editor tutorial?
Not sure if that was intentional. :)
Again.... previously, having RICO settings had no effect on if an asset grew in zones or not. If this has been changed, then I recommend that you take your concerns to the RICO mod page.
"It is extremely easy to add RICO settings to growables; it is considerably more difficult to make RICO assets growable."
Adding RICO as a separate asset, would still be a task in itself. Just uploading one asset is a task, I would have to edit each of the 8 files before I uploaded them as separate assets.
I said before, previously....assets with RICO settings would still grow and be shown in building themes. People made comments like "I don't want this [Spring Hill apartment] to grow in my zones" Somewhere along the way, someone changed it so buildings with RICO settings wouldnt grow. I have nothing to do with that if that is the case.
Okay, so you DID change the file, and I DO understand what you've done. I just don't agree with your decision and am trying to explain how it negatively affects your subscribers, as the vast majority of us DO use growable assets. It is extremely easy to add RICO settings to growables; it is considerably more difficult to make RICO assets growable.
In the future (in line with the good IT practice of 'don't break dependencies'), I would suggest adding RICO settings as a separate asset, similar to what Quad does. It gives your subscribers and contributors a more flexible product.
I added RICO settings because I want to personally use them as RICO and I no longer play using growable assets. I always meant for them to have RICO settings, I didn't know how to do it for multiple assets at the time I uploaded them, no I won't change them back.
You can go to the RICO workshop page for any tutorials about the RICO mod and if possible how to remove RICO settings.
You updated this file on 6/27.
Now (6/28 and 6/29) these assets do not grow at all. They are only found in RICO menu.
The ONLY thing that changed in that time was this asset. Why did you change it, and can you change it back / provide a link to a tutorial so I can do it myself?
