Really good mod but some places are a little too dark for me, but the darkness really adds immersion as if you were in a dark room in real life. If you don't mind squinting at the screen when you are in the occasional dark spots, then this is the lighting mod for you. Another plus, it hasn't been updated in quite a while but it still works for the latest version of Skyrim, 1.9, without a problem. Love it or hate it!

People, comment about the freaking mod. Not argue about the nexus.

Update for post below:

I changed the load order(hadn't thought of that since ya know, noob) and it works perfectly. For reference if you set Realistic Lighting first, it loads the lighitng engine for everything, then Pure Weather after that PW overrides the ext(PW only mods outdoor lighting), then Interior Lighting Fix and lastly Immersive Sat Boost. Thanks for the great mod man!

P.S. Thought I'd follow up just incase some other newbie shows up after myself :)
JackBauerCTU 12 aug. @ 8:39pm
So this mixed with the Interior Lighting Fix mod results in the best looking interiors I've seen so far. However, I prefer Pure Weather lighting outside. This mod mixed with Pure Weather and Immersive Sat Boost results in outdoors being far to bright. Is there a way to use JUST the interior lighting from this mod?

P.S. I'm new to modding Skyrim and would greatly appreciate any help from someone more knowledgable on the subject.

@Ode2Order Yes it is
=|PAG|=Ode2Order 9 aug. @ 11:57am
Is this compatible with Pure Weather?
R6xxxEJACULATIONxxx 29 iul. @ 9:39am
lol All these people and their butt hurt against the nexus, it optional for customization and maybe some more info, not required for the mod to work raging morons.

I noticed that light from torches in caves was white... it looks really weird to me. Shouldn't that light be more orange or yellow? Different light sources should not only have different intensities of light but different colors as well. also in a barrow or two i noticed light coming from nowhere, as if there were a hole in the cieling for it to shine through, when there wasn't one.

1) Nexus is the shit
2) This mod is pretty awesome, but better from the nexus b/c you can pick and choose parts to combine with other mods

@Rabakask - google 'Immersive NPC in the dark', yet another awesome ass mod on nexus.
DzarRus 11 iul. @ 3:11pm
Fuck u with your nexus!
Maxbullet52 5 iul. @ 3:08pm
Lots of people downloaded this but im going to skip it for the simple fact that there is no compatibility information and the Mod maker clearly only posted this here to attract more attention on nexus. If were downloading it here we don't want to go to Nexus.....

ну блин, в данжах же темно как в жопе
Revrb 26 iun. @ 8:56am
Does this mod require a certain load order?
Take a tub of dumbcunt! 25 iun. @ 10:42pm
Please for the love of fuck stop hosting bullshit on Nexus. It's a a hassle to say the least and your mod will go nowhere if it's hosted by complete and utter bullshit.

Undercover: maybe you have mods that are not compatable with this, or other, light mods?
Undercover 21 iun. @ 9:11am

Shurban 12 iun. @ 7:38am
Does is work with Project Reality:Climates Of Tamriel?
天使Lynus' Kouhai天使 17 mai @ 1:59pm
Awesome! Even if it does require me to cast Magelight almost constantly.
Dragon0fSkyrim 15 mai @ 7:24pm
Anyone know if this mod works with the expanded skyrim weather mod
by Raphou112?
WightKing 12 mai @ 12:11pm
Is this mod compatable with Relighting Skyrim by grayscruffy?
Smarteez 28 apr. @ 4:34pm
I have to agree, brilliant mod but some areas such as building interiors are just FAR too dark, i could barely see general Tulius.
SuperNoodle 12 apr. @ 9:36pm
Looks fantastic! But I got fed up of casting candle light every 30 seconds in caves, would still recommend for people lookisng for extra realism though!
MightOfGuts 10 mart. @ 3:12pm
do you need a certain load order for this mod?
Tails The Fox 9 mart. @ 1:42pm
Very nice!
rabakask 9 mart. @ 9:01am
This mod is one of my favourite! If you could mod a way that enemies won't see you well when you're in the shadows (Very useful in caves and dungeons) while sneaking, that'd be the best mod ever!
durjim 11 feb. @ 12:19pm
Great mod. Adds truly realistic lighting to every place and corner found in the game. Dungeons become scarily dark, shadows become sharper during the day and nights dimly lit, the way they should be in places with no artificial light (finally a use for candlelight spell). Excelent work!

Outdated version of the mod, latest here [www.nexusmods.com]
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30450

@BAMBINATOR This will not lower FPS as it doesn't use any post-processing, just change light placement and effect using the standard Skyrim engine.
Will this lower fps?

I discovered an issue:
When falling down from the top of the mountain while blizzard, it keeps the white snowy screen(whithout the actual snow) even if waiting or entering/leaving interiors, even after leaving/reentering the game.
|E~C| Wiedel 10 ian. @ 3:27pm
@Juwar i don't think so
Juwar 4 ian. @ 6:12am
@kage74 I believe they can see you which is can be a pain. Is there a mod that can reduce AI visibility in the dark?
kage74 31 dec., 2013 @ 8:34pm
I have a question about this mod. It effects my vision...but does it effect the NPC's vision as well? Like, I can't see them cause it's too dark but can they still me?
Timmeh1333 30 dec., 2013 @ 6:28pm
Adds a level of realism that wasn't there before. If carrying a torch at night, or casting Candlelight every 60 seconds annoys you, then this is not the mod for you. If you are looking for pitch black dungeon crawls, and realistic night time, then check this mod out. I have not seen any performance drop.
[IWB]JonDaBaptist 29 dec., 2013 @ 12:02am
do i have to load this at the bottom of the data files list or not because i have a mod that does need to be loaded last so yeah plz help.
alexleach262 27 dec., 2013 @ 4:57am
Does anyone know if this mod clashes with Knightshades Improved Interior Lighting (For Realistic Lighting Mods)? I think they're both great, but just want to make sure.
G_Stanky 21 dec., 2013 @ 3:51am
Does this put a hit on performance? I want to re-play Skyrim with a new feel. This should do the trick, i just dont want a dip in fps
Wolfbeast 15 dec., 2013 @ 4:10pm
Note: your nexus link (since I wanted to look at customization to fix it) is defunct. mod not found on nexus.
Wolfbeast 15 dec., 2013 @ 4:06pm
I find it too dark overall as well - and before you go on about "realism", remember this: your eyes adjust to darkness, quite well in fact! The Skyrim engine uses this automatic adjusting to good effect... unfortunately not when this mod is installed, for whatever reason.
dddaehyun 14 dec., 2013 @ 1:26pm
Anyone who finds the mod too dark should maybe get themselves the travel lanterns mod, which makes it even more realistic since "Dark cave? should take a lantern with me." Just saying. I just started this Skyrim again from scratch on a brand new computer (yay!) and this was one of the first mods I installed again. Simply loving it~
Kroool_ua 13 dec., 2013 @ 8:28am
Hardcore!!!!!!
MadHouseGameZ 13 dec., 2013 @ 4:25am
To all the idiots complaining about it being to dark in dungeons.. If you think about it. Thats realistic... This mod doesnt state any where that its for idiots that want to see bright as day even in dark corners. Personally i love this mod and it works GREAT with the mod that enables your spells to give off light! Great work on this mod
Fornteller 10 dec., 2013 @ 10:09am
Love this mod! Though, as others have already said, it does make parts of the game pitch-black. Personally, I love the mod as it is and even the pitch-black areas are right in their lighting. It makes you think about what you value more: being able to see clearly (wielding a torch), or having protection (wielding a shield). Though I give my followers torches so they can light the way for me!

I had one particular instance where I was infiltrating an open-air castle at night, and it was so dark that it felt almost entirely realistic and very intense! I love this mod, though I would not recommend it to anyone who's not looking for a 'hardcore realism' experience.
stab 9 dec., 2013 @ 8:48pm
yeah wayyyyy too dark!
Invisicow 9 dec., 2013 @ 4:49pm
Not sure if I'm able to see the difference, really.
[SGV] Giovanni 9 dec., 2013 @ 6:54am
Looks great minus the dungeons and certain area's being pitch black. The world itself is beautiful but totally taking this mod off unless i can get the lantern mod to work which i haven't been able to.

TheEldrazi 29 nov., 2013 @ 10:17am
not working at all for me. :(
Metriarc 25 nov., 2013 @ 7:04pm
@Flufinator Notice how you have Night Eye? This mod is 'REalistic' not 'Skyrim friendly'. I'm all for that immersion in Skyrim and I have a crap ton of mods that have made the game lore friendly, realistic and more strategic/challenging. Night time, it's supposed to be dark, not magically being able to see everything. But each to their own and might I add your opinion is valid for all those who don't want really dark areas.
