Looks fantastic! But I got fed up of casting candle light every 30 seconds in caves, would still recommend for people lookisng for extra realism though!
MightOfGuts 10. maalis 15.12
do you need a certain load order for this mod?
Tails The Fox 9. maalis 13.42
Very nice!
rabakask 9. maalis 9.01
This mod is one of my favourite! If you could mod a way that enemies won't see you well when you're in the shadows (Very useful in caves and dungeons) while sneaking, that'd be the best mod ever!
durjim 11. helmi 12.19
Great mod. Adds truly realistic lighting to every place and corner found in the game. Dungeons become scarily dark, shadows become sharper during the day and nights dimly lit, the way they should be in places with no artificial light (finally a use for candlelight spell). Excelent work!

Outdated version of the mod, latest here [www.nexusmods.com]
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30450

@BAMBINATOR This will not lower FPS as it doesn't use any post-processing, just change light placement and effect using the standard Skyrim engine.
BAMBINATOR////////// 5. helmi 14.17
Will this lower fps?
MissJoint 21. tammi 6.22
I discovered an issue:
When falling down from the top of the mountain while blizzard, it keeps the white snowy screen(whithout the actual snow) even if waiting or entering/leaving interiors, even after leaving/reentering the game.
|E~C| Wiedel 10. tammi 15.27
@Juwar i don't think so
Juwar 4. tammi 6.12
@kage74 I believe they can see you which is can be a pain. Is there a mod that can reduce AI visibility in the dark?
kage74 31. joulu, 2013 20.34
I have a question about this mod. It effects my vision...but does it effect the NPC's vision as well? Like, I can't see them cause it's too dark but can they still me?
eviltimmie 30. joulu, 2013 18.28
Adds a level of realism that wasn't there before. If carrying a torch at night, or casting Candlelight every 60 seconds annoys you, then this is not the mod for you. If you are looking for pitch black dungeon crawls, and realistic night time, then check this mod out. I have not seen any performance drop.
[IWB]JonDaBaptist 29. joulu, 2013 0.02
do i have to load this at the bottom of the data files list or not because i have a mod that does need to be loaded last so yeah plz help.
alexleach262 27. joulu, 2013 4.57
Does anyone know if this mod clashes with Knightshades Improved Interior Lighting (For Realistic Lighting Mods)? I think they're both great, but just want to make sure.
G_Stanky 21. joulu, 2013 3.51
Does this put a hit on performance? I want to re-play Skyrim with a new feel. This should do the trick, i just dont want a dip in fps
Wolfbeast 15. joulu, 2013 16.10
Note: your nexus link (since I wanted to look at customization to fix it) is defunct. mod not found on nexus.
Wolfbeast 15. joulu, 2013 16.06
I find it too dark overall as well - and before you go on about "realism", remember this: your eyes adjust to darkness, quite well in fact! The Skyrim engine uses this automatic adjusting to good effect... unfortunately not when this mod is installed, for whatever reason.
dddaehyun 14. joulu, 2013 13.26
Anyone who finds the mod too dark should maybe get themselves the travel lanterns mod, which makes it even more realistic since "Dark cave? should take a lantern with me." Just saying. I just started this Skyrim again from scratch on a brand new computer (yay!) and this was one of the first mods I installed again. Simply loving it~
Kroool_ua 13. joulu, 2013 8.28
Hardcore!!!!!!
MadHouseGameZ 13. joulu, 2013 4.25
To all the idiots complaining about it being to dark in dungeons.. If you think about it. Thats realistic... This mod doesnt state any where that its for idiots that want to see bright as day even in dark corners. Personally i love this mod and it works GREAT with the mod that enables your spells to give off light! Great work on this mod
Fornteller 10. joulu, 2013 10.09
Love this mod! Though, as others have already said, it does make parts of the game pitch-black. Personally, I love the mod as it is and even the pitch-black areas are right in their lighting. It makes you think about what you value more: being able to see clearly (wielding a torch), or having protection (wielding a shield). Though I give my followers torches so they can light the way for me!

I had one particular instance where I was infiltrating an open-air castle at night, and it was so dark that it felt almost entirely realistic and very intense! I love this mod, though I would not recommend it to anyone who's not looking for a 'hardcore realism' experience.
stab 9. joulu, 2013 20.48
yeah wayyyyy too dark!
Invisicow 9. joulu, 2013 16.49
Not sure if I'm able to see the difference, really.
[SGV] Giovanni 9. joulu, 2013 6.54
Looks great minus the dungeons and certain area's being pitch black. The world itself is beautiful but totally taking this mod off unless i can get the lantern mod to work which i haven't been able to.

Finally gives my Kajiit's "night eye" power some use
TheEldrazi 29. marras, 2013 10.17
not working at all for me. :(
Metriarc 25. marras, 2013 19.04
@Flufinator Notice how you have Night Eye? This mod is 'REalistic' not 'Skyrim friendly'. I'm all for that immersion in Skyrim and I have a crap ton of mods that have made the game lore friendly, realistic and more strategic/challenging. Night time, it's supposed to be dark, not magically being able to see everything. But each to their own and might I add your opinion is valid for all those who don't want really dark areas.
Flufinator 21. marras, 2013 12.30
Yup. Too dark. Writer puts huge emphasis on "realistic". Ok fine, but Skyrim is a computer game, designed by Bethesda so that you could see enough in dungeons without a torch always in your hand. Looks nice, but basically unplayable. Uninstalled. Big shame considering the hours that must have gone in to it.
[]ReeO[] 12. marras, 2013 9.52
this os just what i have been looking for! Stunning! love this! 1 of best mods.
edbowlegs 10. marras, 2013 10.47
I Like this mod but my slow pc is lagging a lot so I am dumping some things to see if that helps speed things up. Someday when I upgrade I will probably resubscribe.
Norexan 1. marras, 2013 19.28
Sehr gute Mod, nur leider etwas zu dunkel in der Nacht und in den Dungeons ... sonst sehr gute Stimmung
Barfi 26. loka, 2013 8.35
Its So dark in dungeons
Fherrera 21. loka, 2013 5.35
Perfomance loss?
tRiToN01 17. loka, 2013 21.11
Something I noticed that kind of bugs me is the interior shadowing. The textures look blocky and I don't have a shadow. Is this at all fixable. Also, I agree with what Verdis said about nighttime and hope that that can be fixed. Other than that, the mod is great.
Shades 7. loka, 2013 18.49
The problem with mods like this is that navigating dungeons in Skyrim is strictly a visual experience, not visual, physical and auditory. Not to mention this does nothing to conceal your character from enemies. I wish modders would start seperating lighting edits into categories.
bladerunner 4. loka, 2013 17.17
Makes the dungeons very tense and exciting compared to vanilla. Being a huge s.t.a.l.k.e.r fan this is just what i needed to make skyrim more enjoyable. Many thanks for this mod :)
this music in the music .. sooo epic !
Intru3 [2nd acc] 25. syys, 2013 11.42
Made every room without any source of light pitch-black, which can be quite annoying. However you can always use torch or magical spells to get a source of light. In my case, cba.
Zonks 17. syys, 2013 1.48
cool idea but kinda shits me that an ordinary bandit can see me while i can't see him. If it was a vamp or cat dude then sure but a human?
[29th] Garnith 15. syys, 2013 22.30
I use the wearable laterns with this mod. Makes cave exploring great! The wearable lanters mod even lets you euip a lantern on your followers. So with a mobile light source like the latern (purchasable at shops) it makes this perfect.
Seri Wolf 14. syys, 2013 13.38
there is a mod that does interiors that goes with these mods that make houses and caves too dark, it brightens them up and gives them better lighting from the light sources like a candle and such. its called realistic interior lighting for realistic lighting mods and every mod i've tested it with works. you guys could give it a try, i think it really helps this mod make things more realistic
Mettiina 7. syys, 2013 2.54
While I do find the interiors and dungeons a bit too dark (there's too much pitch blackness in the presence of light, and NPCs are unaffected) Realistic Lighting is at least better than the new version, Realistic Lighting Overhaul, which made a bright day look godawful and more unrealistic that anything I've seen yet.
Chris92195 6. syys, 2013 21.08
compatible with climates of tamriel?
B Rye 21. elo, 2013 15.59
It would be interesting if in caves or dungeons, slight sunrays would come through the ceiling to produce a little bit of light.

Realistic Lighting Without Post-Processing by 747823 and Pluto
SirAser[ScopeEye] 15. elo, 2013 5.56
(Continuation)
But in reality I have to figth most of the enemys in almost total darkness ...and that means my follower is complaining way too much(for getting hit by me ..I cant see shit remember!) - I think i hit my followers just as mutch, as i hit the enemys!
This is all kind of fun to begin with - but then it hits you ...you'll have to do the hole cave/crypt in this "Realistic Darknes" ..and due to this "Realistic Darkness", you aint getting half the loot as youre surpose too?! ..you cant find leavers or doorways ..and then its just getting too annoying.

Im lookin forward to see improvements to this add-on - before that, i cant see reson to use it.
SirAser[ScopeEye] 15. elo, 2013 5.55
I'll agree with most of the ppl who points out the problem of "realistic darkness" in the caves.

I went into a cave and in the first room ..yes.. the "realistic darkness" really hits you(or was it the undead?!? ..im not sure!) ..kind of creapy and fun, to hear the sound of 5-6 graves open and then the grawling sound of the undead ..but you cant see shit.
Suddenly you hear the sound of figthing besides you(cuz your dear follower aint blinded by "Dealistic Darkeness" and ofcourse, he/she begins to figth them.(continued)
gghsusa 10. elo, 2013 20.02
There must be some issue with the latest version and this mod? I was previously using this on an older system that worked. I loaded it up on my new gaming rig and it's not working. Interiors look as they did before and caves are as bright as day. What's up?
