Not too big, not too small. Just right IMNSHO! This is my most favorite place in Skyrim to live. Thank you ever so much for sharing your talent and hard work!

Thank you for the comments everyone :D I do still read them! The updates to all of my mods has stopped, and has for some time if some haven't noticed. They are all going to stay on the workshop 'as is', so no more updates will come. It has been a long time since I have used the creation kit, and frankly, I would have to learn alot of it all over again as my current hobbies are far removed from modding or anything to do on computers (I now rock climb, hike and make my money from adventuring in the outdoors). I am glad people are still enjoying the mods, just take note if you do have an issue, there will not be any support for it anymore.

This mod will happily stay FREE for everyone to use! No donations, no payments, just a button to subscribe and enjoy the mod without having to pay a cent! I will still accept high fives or a nod of approval if you are so inclined. Happy modding everyone, and don't pay for something that should be free!

every time i leave the castle and head north down the pathway, the game crashes or it freezes. the last time it did that i had to restore my windows 8.1 computer to an earlier date. fast travel to and from castle was not a problem and i was able to travel south on the path with no problem. but when i head north on the pathway the game either freezes or crashes or both or this last time my pc would not reboot at all. system restore saved my ass this time. so i uninstalled the mod.

Worth a download 100% of the time for the sword in the master bedroom alone.

Hi. Just wanted to let you know two things; first of all this is an absolute awesome mod, one of my favourites, so good job! Secondly, sadly most of the NPC's added with Greystone have dissappeared, like the elf merchant and the priestess. Is there a way to fix this in any way? :) Cheers

This is a castle as a castle sould be. Great job indeed!

Hi Crimson Duck, I love your castle! Great job!
But I have 1 problem, flying grass! Mostly within the castle, some around the castle. It is looking like the vegetation of the original terrain. What can I do to erase this 'little error'?
Loadorder und new installation brings no effect.

Would you mind uploading to the nexus

I love it!!! I have played Skyrim for a long time and I have tested a lot of castles and Greystone is one of the absolute best if you are looking for a lore-friendly and not too big castle. You get a realistic castle and I really like the way you have used the towers as barracks, armory, guest tower and kitchen. Okay, I have trouble with the mannequins not showing the armor I put on them. Every time I have been away on adventures and return the mannequins are "naked" and I need to take and put on the armor again. Otherwise, great job... THUMBS UP!!!

Little warning this is not compatible with the mod build your own city becoming a lord (APLHA)
Heremon 16 mai, 2014 @ 4:58pm
The floating grass inside the castle has to be remove in order for the outside view of the entrance become visible.

TheSunBro 4 feb., 2014 @ 12:55am
PLEASE UPDATE THE BARD!!! You managed to use the worst possible voice for the bard. It got so bad i dont like to be in the main hall anymore. Then i just killed her. The silence is better then her singing. At LEAST update to allow you to select play instumental music so she doesnt sing.
Ragnrok 24 ian., 2014 @ 3:39pm
this mod conflicts with this mod. it takes up the same location. fyi
lorthy 23 ian., 2014 @ 11:13am
Thank you got making this mod. It is not over the top and has the right feel to its design. Great job!
Skald 28 nov., 2013 @ 5:59pm
this would be perfect for me, if only there were a few more actual storage containers. Like a few chests in the armoury and by the smithy, and a couple of jewlerry boxes around the crafting stations maybe a couple of barrells for arrows somewhere. The shelves are amazing and a hell of a lot of really immersive and aesthetically pleasing furnishings decorate the entire castle. But when i'm looking for places to put my stuff I only have a few very limited options. that is literally my only gripe with this mod, otherwise ten out of ten.
G20 13 nov., 2013 @ 3:15pm
I've added this to a collection, I thought you mioght like to know (as it's a compliment) as i know you don't get notifications on this. Thanks for the great mod ;)
UndyingWar 4 oct., 2013 @ 4:34pm
Perfect castle I've been looking for, thanks so much

Tree, I always have excellent results with GC, no glitches! I experimented with a dozen or so similar mods and I’m convinced that GC sets the benchmark for others to emulate. Among other things I give GC 10 out of 10 for been a very practical useful eye candy.
avega_dialis 16 aug., 2013 @ 10:18am
I have the same problem with grass floating in the courtyard. Tried console coomand "tg" and then quick travel another place and back again to castle, but it didn't fix.
Fl4me 15 aug., 2013 @ 10:33am
a very cool mod, but grass stook in the air... please fix that
Helix 10 aug., 2013 @ 3:32pm
I really liked this castle, of all the ones that i have tried out i have always come back to this one.
Zalandor 3 aug., 2013 @ 5:55am
grass and flowers are stook in the air around the yard and the castle... how to fix that?... still a awesome mod thanks :)

Charles de Gaulle 18 iul., 2013 @ 11:12pm
For some odd reason the npcs in the 5 towers disappeared and i have no idea where they went. maybe it is just colliding poorly with another mod installed.
jasocafo98 17 iul., 2013 @ 7:03am
never mind i figured it out, it was a glitch casued by another mod, great mod btw!
jasocafo98 16 iul., 2013 @ 8:50pm

Ramix the Red 11 iul., 2013 @ 11:15pm
Very very nice mod, a bit buggy at times with clipping and that sort of thing but thats to be expected with mods like this and laptops like mine. My only REAL complaint is that when I spawned a dragon in the courtyard and tried to kill it with my new guards as a celebration, it became unkillable due to me not having dragonrend since when it got to half health it roosted on a mountain instead of landing. But I guess nothing is perfect and its not something that can be helped. Once again, very nice mod.
Scythe 7 iul., 2013 @ 4:39pm
ok thanks
Crim5on Duck  [autor] 7 iul., 2013 @ 2:43pm
@sandbog - To the left of the wardrobe on the pillar is the button to open it, on the desk the paperwork gives the instructions as well.
Scythe 5 iul., 2013 @ 7:23pm
the wardrobe labbled "open" (leading me to beleive its a secret passage) in the master bedroom of the "private rooms" area won't open and i can't search it anyone know why, please reply!
jrtaylor001 29 iun., 2013 @ 10:02pm

knightowl1142 25 iun., 2013 @ 10:36pm
like the castel almost like home
Vaethas 17 iun., 2013 @ 2:58pm
This castle is PERFECT for pairing with the Tundra Defense mod. Just "disable" the already existing well, replace it with the tundra defense well, and the open courtyard fits everything from the other mod fairly well. Makes for a pretty awesome stronghold when everything is in place.
The Flying Engineer 26 mai, 2013 @ 3:47pm
I would live in this house. If it wasn't for harpy the bard. That voice is the reason I don't live at windstrad manor....
Vladimir Vladimirichov Putin 14 mai, 2013 @ 1:45pm
Good to know! thanks for replying!
Crim5on Duck  [autor] 13 mai, 2013 @ 10:37pm
@John Remairez 47- Thanks for the comment! And yes it is possible to do the things you say, they are just out of my modding capabilities. With work and other hobbies I don't really have the time to get into anything to complex :)
Vladimir Vladimirichov Putin 13 mai, 2013 @ 8:41pm
I am a complete noob to Skyrim and I WANT IT NOW! But is it possible to make a castle filled with enemies and siege it? like I said I dont know anything except it is an RPG and you can become a awesome guy that slayz dragons? I dont knwo if it is true but I like games with archery so....I LIKE YOUR DESIGNING! Good JOB!
