And it seems so easy...

Glad you like it StabbyMcGee. I still dunno why that laser isn't properly working. I guess I'll have another looki at it. :)

I agree with Archomeda, I was adjusting a lasercube trying to light all the relays and then something weird happened where the laser just turned off and I was able to continue. Huh. And I'm pretty sure I didn't light all the relays. Also, it was fun to figure out the bit at the end (Tater Salad aready said it). Thanks!

oh really... there must be a bug in the puzzle then that allows you to finish it without lighting everything. :P Thanks for telling. Will look into it.

If you missed one or two relays, you cannot exit that room, so you must've hit them all. :)

Haha... that lightbridge was very deceiving :p
And I think I missed one or two relays, but maybe those were for the fizzlers... didn't notice that if they were.

Tater, thats actually the solution to the puzzle. :)

Much easier. i used the cube to block the path of one ball. , just less chasing..

I'm aware of this solution and I have managed to do it once too, but it seems so hard to do this, that most players will try their luck using the other route.

I didn't give up before I managed to beat this without the cube. Here is how it's done: push button, run towards right sphere and bump into it to stop it from rolling, then immediately turn and try to catch the other cube. Requires lots of luck (rolling speed of safety cubes differs, you have to catch a really slow one), but can be done without cheating or glitch abuse.
It's not really easier than doing it right though, so yeah. Anyway, nice map!

@toncica, I think you actually have the intended solution. ;) And I agree, the lightbridge is a red hering, otherwise it was just too obvious. I wanted to make it so that it is clear from the very beginning that you'll never be able to use the cube there, while not directly think about what else you could do.
toncica Jun 7, 2012 @ 3:04pm
Did you expect the cube to be thrown and quickly walk back to not get trapped by the light bridge. If yes, you must be out of your mind. Curse you! ;)
Luckily there's a solution that requires no skill at all. That would make the light bridge a red hering though.

Ah, just quicksave by pressing F6 after each succesful jump.

I'm considering exporting this to hammer to see if I can add quicksave support so you don't have to do it yourself, but until then, F6 to save and F7 to load are your friends. :)

If only I hadn't kept falling into the goo while trying to jump my way across, I probably would have finished this. I'll come back to it later because I really do like the concept, but anything that's going to keep killing me in the first few minutes, andthen instantly kill me once I finish the first part of the puzzle and make me do everything all over again isn't going to keep me hanging around very long. But like I said... haven't rated it yet, but I'll come back to it!
