@BlindCoco Thanks for your interest! We're just polishing the core gameplay at the moment but we're going to be working on a ton of new features that will add a lot of depth to the combat scenarios, including: laying traps, holding defensive positions, combined attacks for chained combos, craftable/combinable items, and the list goes on! We can't wait to get something up on Early Access for you all to check out and really appreciate the amazing feedback we've had in our first couple of days :)

@Sam Thanks for the support! Even in the current prototype build I had a run last around 45mins which got really tense at times and was very rewarding, with all the features we're working on - we hope that the larger later stage mansions could hold many hours of gameplay, depending on how much you want to explore and discover!

Can definitely see a Maniac Mansion (and maybe a bit of Betrayal at House on the Hill) influence even though these games aren't even remotely in the same genre. I think this idea has a lot of potential to it and I sincerely hope it gets realized. I rarely say that about Greenlight games.

This is a good example on how games should look/feel. There is a strictly defined atmosphere, details are spot on, and sound effects are nice.

You have my vote up, and please, don't stop with development - that would be a waste of talent. I'm genuinely hyped about this game!

@zeqriel Thanks for the feedback! We have something fun going on with the squad and we're continuing to refine the mechanics. Currently they can all attack independently (or even simultaneously, which is awesome for chained attacks and combos) and each character can be assigned a variety of items/weapons. Each character has it's own health and stats, and while they do all move in a group by default, you can set them doing different tasks, so one could be looting a chest while the others stand guard / continue battle, and so on. We'll have some hold ground options for more tactical play to spread the team out across a room, set traps, defend, etc. You control the whole group, and the deeper you get into the mansion the more likely you'll find/rescue new allies to replenish your squad if you've lost a couple of members - seems there's a lot of folks still trapped in the mansion!

I would like to see more depth to the squad mechanics. From what's shown it doesn't really feel "squad"-based.
The way they all move step-for-step with each other, etc., seems more like it's all just one character. They come off as more of a cosmetic touch than an actual functioning group.

An example from the video:
Guy with gun backing up and shooting makes the other guys with melee weapons stand around and do nothing(they back up in sync). I realize that might be tactical approach to protect them, but at least an option to send them charging in swinging or something.

Other than that, it looks pretty cool and interesting.
