Not really evolution, just mutating cells.

Very cool :)

I supported the game, because I want the developers to keep working on it. I think I found a few bugs and spelling errors here and there.. and sometimes the ingame navigation feels kind of awkward and slow.. also I couldn't finish level 1.3. My cells just didn't want to die. I made the environment as inhabitable as possible and waited over 30 minutes (seriously, I can't be THAT dumb! ... I hope), but there were still a few survivors left, although they shouldn't survive (based on their stats).
Anyway, I think the idea is pretty cool and I'd really like to see a bit more work put into it!
I believe in you! (Go, Maxi!) :D

May be interesting from a scientific view, voted!

This is an interesting computer model but what is the object of the game? We are trying to make these cultures adapt in order to do...what exactly? What is the goal here? If this is sim-petri dish with no goal this is going to be pretty boring. For me, all knowledge ultimately exists as a means to an end even if we don't currently know what that end will be. Learning for the sake of learning is interesting and potentially useful (in myriad ways currently unknown) in real life but in this game, what is the end we are trying to achieve? If your cells "evolve" enough what happens? Are we simply trying to increase their complexity or are we trying to transform them into engineered cancer-resistant eukaryotes or what? Are we trying to create cells which can modify other cells? Does the game give you awards for doing all sorts of different wierd things? Can you win? What is the purpose here?

Looks interesting as a concept and boring as a game. I'll vote it for the chick in glasses though.

I saw some unexplained snippets of gameplay rather than continious gameplay where i get to understand what the game is about.
I'm terribly dissapointed with that video. it's a trailer rather than a proper gameplay video or a pitch.

Upvoted, what a great concept and the artwork looks well executed too. I could imagine wasting hours of my life on this lol
DOMINATE Mar 1, 2016 @ 12:41pm
Interesting concept, upvoted. Don't know if someone mentioned this already, but isn't there already a game called Mitosis on Steam?

This is a really great idea. This game as a lot of potential in being used to promote STEAM - science tech engineering arch math - in American schools.

I love that it's about true evolution, rather than implicitly suggesting so-called "intelligent design". combining machine learning with evolution, sounds fascinating!

Love the looks! It's an interesting way to deal with this topic in a game. Downloaded the demo and played it. Works great for the first levels! Can't wait to get more of it!
