Not to mention as you get down to floor 10, things really start to get laggy and what not.
It makes no sense to ever claim someone who has been playing this game since it first came out, to be wrong.
This information is well documented and well known.
THere are other mods out there that also cause the same corruption issue.
I've run into this corruption issue with lots of mods, not this one.
You cannot get mad because of this one mod pushing the game over the limit.
That's not how it works.
You need to constantly make back up saves after every floor in this game with mods.
Otherwise, it will corrupt or break at a certain point.
Mods just make it easier to reach the point where corruption happens.
There's no real way to stop it.
That's why backups are needed.
and as others have warned, my saves started getting corrupted and now i have to uninstall these things one by one trying to figure out which one is causing the problem.
I still don't understand how to do a backup and i saw a link to a guide and i read the guide and it left me even more confused than before.
I thought it would be as simple as finding your save file and copy pasting it to the desktop and then just copy pasting it back in to the game files to restore it but apparently, the game does not like when you do that . . .
No one would mock you for backing up saves in this game.
This game has always had save issues in it.
It's not this mod.
It's the game itself that is so buggy that you will lose your saves.
That's why you must backup your saves every single floor you progress.
As much fun as this game is, I recommend backing up your save every single floor you complete.
It will prevent a lot of problems later on if the game decides to eat your save.
There are just so many bugs with this game, but it's still a very fun game.
Since this game's devs went out of business.
So, updates to any mods aren't really needed.
My suggestion is every floor you complete, you back up your save game.
That being said, I have no clue why you got that error. Did you try downloading this mod again?
If not, Monsters (indicating that there are monsters), Items (indicating there are items), and Lairs (indicating that there are new rooms) is still a fairly descriptive title. If not having detailed numeric information in there somehow prevents you from playing this totally free mod that I created... er... sucks to be you, I guess.
If you aren't sure if the mod is loading correctly, keep an eye out for the new monsters. They should be common enough that they'll be easy to spot. If you see them, then the mod is definitely running, you may just have to play for 3 or 4 levels until you encounter your first Bank/Wizard Pub/Shock Maze/Miniboss room.
I'm having an issue using this mod, just wanted to test things out and I'm never getting the Pac Man room or the golden idol or the computer room (levels 0, 1, 2) which I'm wondering if any of the special rooms are generating... the only mods I have installed are this one, more Dred, heraldic, and craft n smelt. I believe the only room-making one I have installed is yours. Any hints of how to make it work?
(well, I suppose technically 0-0-0-0 should be a correct answer, since 0x2 will always be zero, but that's what the lock is set to by default when you enter the room, so it's pretty obviously not the correct combination.)
If you *really* get stuck, you can always go into your mods folder, and read the rooms.xml file in the monstrous directory, since the correct combinations are included in the script comments.
I don't really understand if there's some number to start with and I didn't see it?
