At last count, there were 1,010,000+ subscribers to the 60+ mods of the sp0ckrates Steam Skyrim workshop. My mod-making partner and I couldn't have done it without everyone who tried out our mods. Dudes! You are the best!

Lore knight: Yeah, but I use 3DS Max, since it's easier to learn.
Loreknight Apr 15 @ 8:09pm
congratulations, mate!
Loreknight Apr 15 @ 8:06pm
Isn't there this software called blender that you could use to create these models? People do that for most of the tf2 items they introduce on the workshop. btw tf2 is an amazing shooter if you don't know about it. Made by the same people that made the very social service we are using to communicate (those dudes are valve)

Bear skull

Paulzuk: Yeah, well the digital images are in a format that laser printers can use to make real 3 dimensional objects, which is what people are usually buying them for. I just have software that makes the images simple enough to be used in the game. I found one of an actual near skull for free and tested it in game. It will take a lot of work to make it game ready, though.

By the way, bought a great game on Steam yesterday. Space Engineers. It's an early release sandbox and is awesome. Check it out. Also, good seeing ya bro. =)

Amazing the amount of money they charge for pixels and even more amazing that people are willing to pay for it. All for something that isn't actually real or is tangible. The only true value of pixels is the time it took to create them, which isn't a very long time for some nerd designing a sabre tooth tiger skull. Once they're finished creating the rest is pure profit. They barely have to worry about manufacturing, since CD's are rarely made now since everyone downloads. This means distribution involves having a server. Fanboys everywhere make stuff like that for free. It's not like it costs the earth to produce pixels. Games giants have saved millions upons millions since we went digital because they're manufacturing and distribution costs have been more or less eliminated entirely. A fact they like to keep to themselves. Yet, we pay more than ever for pixels. For literally nothing. lol

LOL! Yeah, if I had more money, I'd buy more 3D models to give every creature in Skyrim a skull. But a saber tooth tiger skull model with textures costs $45, so...
paulzuk Apr 7 @ 3:21pm
GRATS! Wish you had a $ dollar for every one. No. Scratch that. A £ pound instead, it's worth more. lol
sp0ckrates  [author] Apr 7 @ 9:46am

This one joins the 10,000 club. Thanks to all who tried out this mod, which was our first. More than two years sinc its release. Time flies like a Dragonborn!
sp0ckrates  [author] Mar 12 @ 6:34pm
Paulzuk: Excellent!

Yo! Been a while. Hope you're well. Going to be playing Skyrim again in the near future, so getting my mods sorted beforehand. Next week my new pc arrives. i5830K Extreme, 32GB 3000mhz RAM and GeForce GTX980Ti 6GB should help the game run smoother than a baby's ass. And not just any baby, but the winner of the 2016 Smoothy Award for the smoothest ass on a baby for the entire year! Yes, it's going to run THAT smoothly. Finally! I'm going to have a pc that laughs at the highest of ultra settings. In a few months, I'll have an oculus rift! Oh man, I bet subnautica looks amazing in VR! My new pc arrives Weds. That feels like a million years atm. lol Take care dude! Peace!

kden c:::
sp0ckrates  [author] Feb 27 @ 8:05pm
Lore knight: Yeah, it has been 2 years since I made this, my first mod. I really want to make armor mods using skulls and bones, but I don't have the time right now.
Loreknight Feb 27 @ 3:37pm
i was thinking we could make ivory gear out of mammoth bones c:::
also how about the dragon skulls are colored/named based on which type of dragon and their color of scales
sp0ckrates  [author] Feb 24 @ 2:04am
Sutachi: Yeah, thanks for letting me know. I plan on doing a new mod that uses a script to add the skulls, instead of editing the race. So it will be compatible with mods like that.
Sutachi Feb 24 @ 12:34am
Great mod! Makes beast hunting way more fun/rewarding and gives a great rp feel: weither your a bada** just looking to be the king of the wilds (with the skulls to back up the claim) or an enterprising hunter who is willing to take a bigger risk for a bigger reward.

I also thought you'd like to know that this mod does have conflicts with other mods like "Better Dragon Loot" that add/change the loot of dragons. I've been playing with the order and unfortunetly it seems that you gotta pick better loot, or regular loot plus a dragon skull. By no means am I complaining, just thought you might like to know.

Keep up the good work!!
Raptor Man Feb 21 @ 4:44pm
Oh well thats a shame
sp0ckrates  [author] Feb 21 @ 4:14pm
I'd use them, but can't afford to buy them right now.
sp0ckrates  [author] Feb 21 @ 4:14pm
Raptor: I've found bear, sabertooth tiger, and other skull models online, which are under $100 each, but they are too expensive for me to purchase.
Raptor Man Feb 21 @ 10:14am
are you planning on doing other skulls? Or can you not find good meshes for others?
sp0ckrates  [author] Nov 21, 2015 @ 3:23pm
Peace: Yes, good idea.
peacebreeze Nov 21, 2015 @ 10:17am
wpuld it be possible to make it that you can get bone meal from the skulls if you use the skulls with a smelter?
sp0ckrates  [author] Oct 26, 2015 @ 10:18am
Bwm: Yeah, but only if I can find a good alien model to make an NPC to go with!
sp0ckrates  [author] Sep 28, 2015 @ 1:00pm

GreyWolf: Hope you have fun with it. Was my first mod, and still like how it turned out. I'm thinking of expanding it, so let me know if you have any ideas how to make it better.

sp0ckrates  [author] Aug 12, 2015 @ 9:41am
Blue: Yes, I'm thinking of doing that after I release my next mod.
ATopHat Aug 12, 2015 @ 12:44am
Hey Great mod!! Would it be possible if you could make the skulls wearable so you can have it as a helmet, But the skulls would be alot smalled to fit the head but still is the skull of the drops

sp0ckrates  [author] Aug 11, 2015 @ 1:01pm
TFG: Yeah, I want to expand this mod to let the player make armor with the skulls.
Tex Jul 2, 2015 @ 9:08pm
hey spockrates you (not forceing but can be cool) skulls placed up on belts compatable with bandaloir just asking if you were at leasting thinking about it mate
SharkLordSatan Apr 17, 2015 @ 3:11pm
I have a bit of a glitch. At least, I think its' a glitch; basically most vanilla dragons that I kill don't drop skulls, but the dragons that are supposed to drop skulls (Murmulniir, Paarthurnaax, etc.) do drop skulls. I'm thinking this is simply just a sort of conflicting mods problem or w/e, and its' not too major.
