Gloria Victis - Realistic Medieval MMORPG

Why developers don't know how to properly pronounce "gloria victis"? Protip "s" is silent.

@Jog I would love to help , but my English is not perfect. Maybe spend some wrong things to the Portuguese . But try to find someone who is interested in doing that . Thank you for your attention!
Jog  [author] Mar 27 @ 10:26am
@DIE_by_SCI-FI Please contact us via I will contact you when we will be in need of another Russian translator.

@estacado We need someone to help us translating things, it will take about 3-4 hours. Is it possible that you would do this for exchange of ingame keys? :)
estacado Mar 27 @ 7:02am
Please add Spanish and Portuguese as a language of the game! We are a huge gaming community and fans of mmo . The game seems to be very good and the greater the number of players familiar with his language , the better developed based on more opinions and experiences in the game. thanks.
DIE_by_SCI-FI Mar 27 @ 12:13am
@Jog iam already have your game, but i can help you with translation anyway, if you need russian, of course.. May be im not very good in some aspects of grammar, but i have friends, who help me with it.
Jog  [author] Mar 26 @ 3:26pm
@La Fayette - our translations are made by our community members, if you are willing to help us (it will take only a few hours) than we could do that. In exchange you will gain account for you and your friends of course :)

By the way - we have just made a first official tutorial movie:

Any estimate of when we will have a beta ?
Greetings from Brazil .
DIE_by_SCI-FI Mar 23 @ 2:44pm
But a bit later i feel that i cant hold myself anymore and bought it) Hope that ill be satisfied. And very hope that developers dont make f2p at the end, but choose p2p or b2p system) hate in-game purchases, especially when you forced do it periodically.
Greetings to Poland from Russia! ;-)

I have only one thing, that prevent me from buying this wonderfu game - Xsolla.
Soulreaver Mar 22 @ 12:38pm
Edit :
from JOG: @PizzaMaster At the final release for sure, cannot say about beta at this moment. Still, all of those who will support us now will not be forgotten :)

PizzaMaster Mar 5 @ 9:36pm
is gloria victis going to be f2p when it comes out of alpha?
Soulreaver Mar 22 @ 12:31pm
Yes the game is in prealpha state so there is bugs and will be for a long while but i have alpha tested Many games in my 24 years of playing games and tbh this game is more stable then most betas i have played in. LOOKS at darkfall still in beta at release state... what you are paying for 10$ or 15 $ you more then get your money's woth the game in its early stage and infancy has allready full of rich game play sounds feel and down right in your face pvp. the mobs are unforgiveing the players are awesome and helpfull there is a learning curve. but if you are looking for a hardcore game that does not hold your hand this game is for you ..
Soulreaver Mar 22 @ 12:31pm
To clear the air here and some miths. I am a donater and backer. I do have the game as it stands now. As stated in the Green light and on the main web page This game is in PRE ALPHA STAGE> If you chose to help get this game Devloped BACK IT if you like the ideals of the game and systems BACK it. The donation is 10,15 dollars you spend that at 7-11 or the movies. when it says from here on that means from here till relaseae and you get the game at release. To my understanding and from the posts i have read on there main site the sub fee or pay to play or pay to own Guild wars 1 style has yet to be determined.
Mysterious Mar 18 @ 10:23pm
@Lucius the game will be free to play
Pelé Mar 18 @ 1:51pm
steam releasing price?
Chris B Mar 14 @ 6:49am
This game looks really good but unfortunately I cannot afford to pay for early access when the full game isn't out yet. I singed up for it ages ago but now I find out you have to pay. *sighs* I shall wait for a full version when it's released and watch some gameplays of it. Hope it generates a strong community though and a great fanbase. Looks really interesting!

Jog  [author] Mar 9 @ 2:25pm
Xsolla have more than 300 different payment methods including PayPal, banks or even dogecoins :) We won't be releasing into Steam before we will have enough content/server power to keep a few thousants players online at the same moment, which we are forwarding to.
At this moment you can donate us for 10$ or more to get access ingame. Donating 15$ gives Steam key already which can be used right now.
ceix Mar 7 @ 11:17pm
hello, when will the game be releassed to steam so i can support this game? currently i cant pay in xsolla or w/e is called, they keep rejecting my card is there other method to pay?
Jog  [author] Mar 6 @ 2:07am

is gloria victis going to be f2p when it comes out of alpha?
Zap430 Mar 5 @ 1:27pm
I was kidding i didnt expect a response besides some ragers
Jog  [author] Mar 5 @ 1:05pm
@Skeletor We are not supporting official trial accounts at this moment because we are on too early stage now. Our player base is quite high already, and so on we spend a bit of workhours answering support mails/forum topics. But in the end game is going to be free to play. At this moment we simply couldn't handle that big player database without expanding a team. And the only way to expand the team is to create more polished product, hit alpha and gain money to hire them.
Jog  [author] Mar 5 @ 1:05pm
@Zap430 I am sorry you are thinking like that. Honestly speaking, we would make more money working anywhere else instead of some of us working 10-12 hours everyday (including weekends) to make it work as soon as possible with a team small as ours. There was not even two years between first version, when there was nothing to do except walking around the map until now. Please get a bit more faith in us, there are updates every week :)
Of course we could simply, call our game stage late alpha already and sell access for mediocre Early Access prize - 30-50$ but I don't really think that would be a ethical solution at this moment.
Zap430 Mar 5 @ 6:24am
Game will never come out of alpha the devlopers want their money ...

@The Horned Chicken I think that's not a link but e-mail adress ;)
The Horned Chicken Mar 3 @ 3:14pm
Sorry Jog, but the link isn't working and I can't seem to find support on the website
Turz Mar 3 @ 11:55am
I was wondering if there was any chance for you guys to put up some sort of demo, so we can try it out. A few friends of mine have been raving about this game but, I want to see what it's like so far before I put and cash into it, if you don't mind me saying so.
Maybe something along the lines of first few areas (Tutorial not included), and a dungeon if there is even one?
Really hoping it turns out as good as everyone's been saying.
Jog  [author] Mar 3 @ 6:05am
@The Horned Chicken Please contact us via, we will give you a trial account
@PizzaMaster No, you will have your steam key instantly :)
PizzaMaster Feb 27 @ 10:25pm
hi i was wondering if i paid 15 dollars now on your website would i have to buy the game again on steam?
The Horned Chicken Feb 25 @ 6:23pm
You think it would be at a playable frame rate? I really want this game, and it sucks that I don't have the power to run it full on (it looks great graphically) but if I can run it at good FPS I can live
Jog  [author] Feb 25 @ 2:15pm
It should work, but on low-mid details only due of integrated graphics.
The Horned Chicken Feb 25 @ 1:45pm
Sorry not sure where to put this, but can anyone tell me if I can run this game?

Processor AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics

At this moment its not possible sadly. But pay-pal and most of bank cards have only 5% feed by Xsolla ;)
DIE_by_SCI-FI Feb 24 @ 9:54pm
Hello! Its possible to donate to your game through pay-pal or bank card directly? I very much dont like high fees from this corrupted Xsolla )
Jog  [author] Feb 23 @ 9:41am
Most probably tommorow there will be a patch fixing most of the things you are mentioning about ;)
quicksilver1967 Feb 22 @ 8:54am
Okay, so another update, and another attempt to crush some bugs/etc. Unfortunately, this one actually caused some play issues. There is now serious map lag related to terrain/mob generation on the game/servers, teleporting, broken AI behavior, missing textures. Players with high speed internet reported exactly the same problems as everyone else. They will be needing to patch their patch.
quicksilver1967 Feb 17 @ 1:36pm
I'm updating out of fairness. Well, last time I posted, I was having a huge struggle even to get through the launcher. Two patches and some help from the developers later, and I have been able to experience the game. Since it is now mostly playable, I have to say that while it is very rough, it has a wonderful gritty, edgy feel to it, not at all like Chivalry or other non-target games. The crafting requires you to use your head, and to lean on others for advice. While solo combat is certainly possible, this game is ideal for fighting with your friends. The combat system still needs some smoothing, and the hit boxes are problematic. A lot of clipping, sinking into the terrain, and warping still happen. Is it worth the $10 for early access? Well, that depends entirely on whether you are able to actually get into the game. If you are, then yes, it is. If not, then no, it's not. Unfortunately, the only way to know is to invest the money.
Arthok Feb 16 @ 6:14am
Looks nice,would buy :)
Chryst1anFRzz Feb 7 @ 6:55pm
looks cool.
quicksilver1967 Feb 5 @ 3:39pm
Alright, after going through the recent update, and struggling to get the launcher to function, it looks like there are serious issues with a hanging loading screen during character creation/selection. Once that little button starts spinning, you're not going anywhere, and the screen will lockup, necessitating activation of the task manager to get around. There is so much not yet ready for release, that I really have to question why the decision was made. It seems to me to be mostly about money. This game wasn't green-lighted because it was ready, this game was green-lighted because people wanted it, and the developers needed the cash. Do yourselves a favor: walk away from this and check back in 6 months when some decent progress towards solving basic interface issues has been addressed.
quicksilver1967 Feb 3 @ 4:35pm
Okay, so most of the stuff mentioned really isn't fully fledged out. It's a middle ages knights in armor game, WITHOUT any mounts of any kind. I've been told they're not a priority. I hope that's wrong, but then, some of these guys did help with Witcher and NWN. There are a LOT of rough edges; the general consensus is that the game has a lot of promise, but may be overly ambitious. Frankly, I would not recommend buying the pre-alpha access, as you could have significant difficulty getting through the launcher, which is apparently a constant source of irritation for developers and players alike. Some people who have purchased pre-alpha access report not being able to make it past the launcher issues.
Jog  [author] Feb 1 @ 12:21pm
All of features under "Join Pre-Alpha now and:" at this page are actually ingame. Wanted to paste it here but Steam prevents me because its too long for a comment. ;)
RoKing18 Jan 31 @ 8:39am
I was wondering specifically what features are in the game right now, as I am considering donating to get into early access but I want to know exactly what I will be getting. I don't just want the website's slightly vague description; a simple and precise list of features will help me to decide whether to get early access or just wait for free release. Thanks in advance. Jog  [author] Jan 28 @ 1:41am
Of course we will do our best to prevent in game shop being pay to win. Since I believe 20% exp bonus is something which is not pay to win, because it just make character progress faster (and we do need to gain some money to pay our servers) selling best items or things like this is just unacceptable and I can assure you it won't happen. The only ingame items to sell we are considering will be cosmetic, such as your own designed logo you can print into your guild banners or different skins - no item statistics affected.

By the way - within 10 hours there will be a official PvP event at our server!
Jog  [author] Jan 28 @ 1:41am
We do exactly know what do you mean and we are afraid of this too. Market will go into full free to play for sure (well, about 90% of games are there already!), and its the only way to go for a Indie studio.
Anyway we are designing our game to be able to make various servers types. Those with less, and those with bigger PvP. Free to play, and those without any microtransactions, but for subscribers only. Server variety will depend on our community decisions, and we will be making pools about it later by our forums (like we are doing already with alot of game aspects).

DIE_by_SCI-FI Jan 25 @ 2:39pm
One question, are you sure that your game will be f2p? May be it's better to be a p2p? But of course it's up to you to decide. But for me it's better when all players have the same in-game opportunities and mustn't pay for in-game items by real money or grind them very hard. For me it's better to pay every month and play on the same conditions and terms with other, and when i know that all that game included can be obtained in-game. Just an opinion, not more :-)
